Those are options for Oblivion, Fallout, or Skyrim armatures to add BB motion to the bewbs and de buttz.

Posted

Well... I was assuming so :P but how do you do that? I mean, I simply say that (Bone X) and (Bone Y) have BB and it will add it, no matter what game is the skeleton from?

but how can it simulate the movement? there's some sort of standard algorythm you created to simulate BB in any skeleton? is it connected to the movement?

Posted

Nah.

Nothing so fancy as that.

Basically it just gives a bunch of options to generate a motion and then adds the appropriate keyframes.

If I ever revisit it, I'll add an automated option that determines the movement automatically.

Posted

Well if it makes it automatically and it makes the job well, I'm pretty sure Prideslayer will love it.

I'm feeling really dumb right now, but I can't figure out how to "Run Pose Converter".  I'm trying to convert this body: HFOB-DMRA.7z to Skyrim, and as part of that, I'm trying to get it from the Oblivion pose to the Skyrim Pose.  But I'm stuck at the "Run Pose Converter" step.  Do I just unzip and run, am I supposed to install it somewhere? I've tried both the blender (just unzipped as well as pasted into the scripts folder in the blender folder) and the standalone version, but niether do anything.  How am I supposed to use your program?  Which version should I use?

You have to unzip the pose converter into a folder then use the Convert Pose.bat you will have to make a target folder it might make it for you when you click select target folder. Hit game and make sure it is set up to the right one then hit ok.

I see no Convert Pose.bat file anywhere, in either the blender or the standalone version...

You might have to download V.0.89.e first then v.0.89.i then unzip V.0.89.e into a folder then unzip v.0.89.i and drop it into the V.0.89.e folder to overwrite the files in it because I think the ones after version e are updates so you will probably need the first one then version i. I would check but dropfail won't let me download it keeps spamming a create a account to download stuff.

No dice, there are some optional .bat files, but no Convert Pose.bat...

There are two versions, the scripts only version and the portable version.

In the scripts only version (requires a functional python 3.x and pyffi install), look for convert_pose.py

In the portable version (stand-alone and self-contained), look for Convert Pose.bat

Can this be used on armors that were already converted from oblivion to skyrim but left in the oblivion pose? Here is one on that other skyrim community for example: Nightmare Armor --CBBE3 By Nausicaa  I would like to convert it to the standard Skyrim pose, but running it through as is gives me the same pose back. What do I need to do to get this in a bodyslide friendly pose?

--Edit: removed link to other site, wasnt sure if it would be frowned upon.

Apologies for posting to an old thread, but I really want to understand this tool.

I'm trying to convert some Oblivion .kf files to Fallout using the standalone tool, however it only wants to process .nif files?!

I've tried

- load the Oblivion skeleton into Blender 2.49 with the oblivion .kf load the oblivion body meshes  (animates fine in blender) .

- export as nif with 'oblivion' settings

- process with tool set to Oblivion -> Fallout

..

but the resulting Nif isn't anything I know how to use.

It contains the oblivion skeleton and the oblivion bodymesh with messed up arms ...?

Nifskope will load it as a nif but it contains the oblivion skeleton. I try to remove all that and save it as a .kf, but nifscope refuses to load that .kf on the Fallout Skeleton:

"this is not a normal .kf file; there should be only NiControllerSequences as root blocks"

If I load it into blender... well it's a real mess - a twisted oblivion skeleton, and I can't figure a way to get the animation out of the nif and onto a fallout skeleton...

I don't know if I messed up copying the 6 updates into 88b, or if I didn't configure something correctly... or...

I have a question I recently converted a skyrim body to a oblivion pose so that I could get a outfit to fit on the body now I want to change it back to skyrim now that is has been fitted and run through the clothing converter. Problem is it won't do it. Is there a way to get the pose converter to do it or do I first have to run it through mesh rigger to give it oblivion nodes and stuff?

Ok since it seemed no one had a answer I decided to do more testing and found a way to convert it back to the way is suppose to be. So when you convert a body say you convert a skyrim body pose to a oblivion body pose to convert the pose back to skyrim you have to first take the nif you want to convert back and make copies of it make as many as you need to reduce the size of each nif.

I converted a skyrim body pose to a oblivion body pose so that I could mold a outfit that was in a oblivion like pose to the skyrim body. Once I molded the outfit the oblivion posed skyrim body I couldn't get it to convert the oblivion skyrim posed body back to the skyrim posed body. I did some testing and figured out a way to do it.

To convert the body back to the skyrim pose I first made 2 copies of the mesh then deleted the skirt from the one and the top from the other to break it down to speed up testing more. Next I ran both through mesh rigger and changed the bone nodes from skyrim to oblivion then ran those 2 through the pose converter.

Test completed I checked the nifs of both after being run through the pose converter after being run through mesh rigger and the pose has now reverted back to the skyrim pose.

All that is left to do now is to run it through mesh rigger again to re add the correct bone node back again.

@ myuhinny - I think you are one of the few on the bleeding edge of discovering and using the gerra6 tools, hence no responses or answers. Since all I play is Oblivion not really motivated to see what these tools can do for Fallout or Skyrim.

@Stephen wheeldon

I think most are using blender 2.49b you will also need other required things for blender like PyFFi 2.1.11 PyFFi 2.2.2 python 2.6 pyFFi-2.1.11 and python 2.6.6. Python does have a 3.3 version that is newer then the 2.6.6.

Can we have a tutorial for converting an armor from Oblivion to Skyrim with the steps on what to do in blender? I'm mainly worried about the export settings since there are no settings for skyrim in blender 2.49b.

@nightwolf

There should be a convert pose.bat file just double click it to start it. Next click file - target options - select target folder and select the folder that you have your file in. Next click game and select oblivion pose to skyrim. If it's not running make sure you have installed the required files.

Download the portable version then unzip it. The script one is if you are have blender or are using blender.

1. Install Python 3.3 or 3.4. http://python.org/do...releases/3.3.3/ (64 bit recommended if you are working with very large nifs)

Ditto Niobia ... is the standalone version still out there somewhere?

Skyrim to FO4 is pretty easy, but there are a couple of FO3/NV meshes I'd like to try, but I don't want to go through the whole process of installing blender etc ...
