Tonite's update will feature more of the usual. Kitty [i']mouthing off[/i] as always (a guy's 'peen', naturally).

I had a great idea for the following pages, this story's ending will be full of surprises! Some real bone-crunching action is about to take place! The interesting thing about the final pages - I'll be doing them now, half a year after the ones featured in this thread before. To think that back then, none of my current other characters did yet exist at that time... It will also be interesting to see the graphical difference, all the old comics were done with vanilla graphics. Nowadays I've got a mix of Qarl and Ampol textures installed for an improved and sharper look.

That Orcish woman and her Dremora buddy could be a funny chaos couple opening up industrial sized cans of whoop-ass on their enemies. Haven't decided on their roles in the 'Tamriel Teens' universe yet. Thanks to the outstanding work by Ploms, featuring Orcs now is so much more rewarding and fun, their overhauled look is really fierce. Orsimer have become the savage champions of lore.

 

Today's comic page has turned out differently than I initially had planned. I just wanted to finish the guy off, with some nice cumshots and stuff. But when I found so much additional unused material, I decided to make yet another page full of quips and references of all kinds with that. Wonder if anyone will get the classic movie allusion and the pop music reference... On a technical side note, this time the page is of smaller size because I used Tinypic/Photobucket (original size isn't possible with a free account) - when I tried to upload it on Imageshack, those cursed yellow frogs naturally removed the page within fifteen minutes. Sorry for the inconvenience, I'm still looking for a solution.

Yes, indeed, the lines are snippets from the lyrics to 'Barbie Girl'. It's the soundtrack for the mod 'Tags YinYang' by Galgat.

When I was decorating that place a short while ago, the lyrics got kinda stuck in my head because I had to listen to the song in heavy rotation. Not even a bad thing as it is very catchy.

 

Technically speaking, every character in a game is as hollow on the inside as a Barbie doll. But I find Kitty's cleverness is shining through by denying the guy's proposal to make her his new fiancee - someone who is that easily seduced by the promise of promiscuity isn't exactly the most faithful type... Maybe the girl is secretly dreaming of a true and faithful lover despite her easy way of screwing around.

 

Besides - her permanent puns, shrewd sayings and ravishing rhymes clearly are a perfect proof of her witty wisdom.

in a way, just like my bunny Jessie, always finding creative ways to screw things up... specially with her companions, the drunk spellsword madmartigan and the brave knight elf Ophelia (kinda could not bare to play as them just a few times while leveling Jess, so i made them companions, i made madmartigan's own breton race that when he stands still he begins drinking from a bottle, sometimes while walking, thanks to actors in charge for the idle animation :3, i made Ophelia the writter of Jess adventures... everytime she is idle she starts writting on her journal thanks to her word elf race), her adventures go somewhat like this

I really wanted to say something extremely constructive and sophisticated to truly describe the epicness of your work but my English seems to be too poor for this.

All I can say is that your work (despite it isn't really my style of art ^. ^') always make me smile. I'm really impressed with how you create a dialogues. They are always so many jokes and gags in them, and a way in which you are use a language is really fantastic, for me at least.

It's not only kinky comic. It's also art and comedy with brilliant ideas mixed together. And it's always fun to read them.

Hiya!

Belated update... Apologies for that! Two things are to blame: I had to file my tax declaration , only two more days left for that.

 

And the rather elaborate comic page below is the second reason. But it's also a perfect opportunity to show some differences between all the previous pages posted in this thread and the current one - I made these old pages last September, while the latter has been made yesterday! These are the main differences because of the changes I applied to the game since back then, as well as having improved my techniques:

 

• Newer race version for the main character and XEO installed for NPCs
  
• Better graphics thanks to Qarl's textures
  
• Facial animations make the characters talk and better express emotions
  
• Object manipulation/interaction
  
• Better character placement
  

I also used a different approach this time by turning around my usual creation process and writing the texts/dialogues before actually making the pictures. No disclaimer this time, no porn is shown. That (and its XXX-large size) is the reason I uploaded the page on Imageshag again. There are some nice references and allusions, among them the mention of one of my other characters (actually two, soon to be featured).

 

Now for the resolution of the mysterious plot about those two gentlemen! The final confrontation? See for yourself:

I just finished going through the whole thread and just want to show my appreciation. Really well done and entertaining. What I especially like are all the different and great face expressions. And I also really love your characters designs.

 

 

Speaking of which. I really hope you don't mind if I'd design one of my future characters in the style you use. Or rather If I attempt to do so, since I kinda doubt I can pull it off.

One of my current characters is a Lop-Ear mini and I love her and how she turned out and I will still use her.

 

But there's something about your characters that I really like. Oh how I crave to be able to create something similar.

I'm not exactly good with the sliders though. i'm not completely shabby either but I don't dare to tinker with some of them too much.

A first attempt showed me that will need quite some luck with getting a useful random face to start from and then some more luck in the altering process. The main problem at least for me are the shape/angle of the eyes as well as the nose in general. I can pull of to change the eyes a bit by changing brow sliders but It's still not really there.

A first attempt after a few minutes of tinkering with the character creation led to this. (yeah hair and eyebrow color are of, but that's not what the test was about)

Don't worry. Your character is actually very good (and cute), so you really shouldn't sell yourself short!

 

For the majority of my characters, I am influenced by my personal preferences in female beauty - round forehead, slightly slanted eyes, full lips, high cheekbones, small but not too pointy chin. I try to aim for a kind of 'Slavic' look. Most girls automatically turn out like that. Some I create deliberately different to increase character variety, most of the time with rarely-used races ('Naiad Female', 'DesuChan Dolls', 'Aquamer'...).

 

In general, it helps reading a bit about facial proportions and classic beauty ideals, but not sticking to them slavishly, rather using them as helpful guidelines. Overall attractiveness of a face is mainly the result of its single elements going well together, their relations to each other.

 

In my case, as the characters have the opportunity to talk and do actions outside normal game context, their full personality can shine through. This is - to me at least - another important aspect of characters' attractivity: Looks alone will only get you so far to make characters likeable, it's also (like you, HoppyDust and others have aptly mentioned before) the way they talk, their body language and facial expressions.

 

I'm planning to use this thread in the future to post more pictures of my characters along with the comic pages. Initially I thought of starting a new thread dedicated to this but decided against it. I certainly don't want to come off as 'too good to post in the 'Everyone's Characters' thread' - I just want these shots all in one personal place, unified 'under one roof' so to speak - this very thread here.

Poon, I JUST came across your comic (what, almost a year after you started releasing them), and I've been going through them and I can't wait to read all of them before I commented.

 

Brilliant stuff! I didn't think I'd be into it and you've made me a convert. You've got a great alchemy of sweetness/silliness/raunch that I think is just right. And I think the surrounding world and characters outside of your protagonists so far have been just diametrically straight-laced enough to provide a good complement. And at least once every comic, I smile or laugh out loud. Your comics are very Crumby.

But I see what you mean. Thanks to tell me about your main points when creating the face I'll also look these things up. That said it isn't like I didn't look into this before. SO the theoretical knowledge is there, i dare say. I really think it boils down to the fact that I'm not good with character creation. Now i'm well aware that there are quite a few quides out there regarding the Oblivion character creator and it's sliders. Also I have two functioning eyes so I can see what the sliders do and how they influence each other and yet...

Of course that is what brings out most of their appeal. It what makes these comics that good. And it's not like I don't find my characters likeable. Wouldn't use them in that case. Well except for characters that are supposed to be unlikeable of course. But even in their most default state there is just a certain something to your characters faces. (I have your version of the hidden lop-elf village installed so there's no context to influence the impression I get from the faces.)

That's why I'm less focused on recreating the feel and take the blunt attempt of copying the facial style itself instead.

Hullo, people!

Finally finished the follow-up page, the first one of the extremely excicting epilogue to 'The White Splash'. Though I have a vague idea what its title should be, giving it away now would be a bit spoiler-ish. On this new page we learn some more about those two Dunmer gentlemen:

 

• They bicker like an old married couple and talk like college students.
  
• Dunmer #1 is an incredible jerk who even dares to insult Kitty!
  
• Dunmer #2 seems like a nice enough fellow who actually defends Kitty!
  
• When in doubt, change the subject or go for a pee. Or both.
  

Have you seen? I have edited this thread's title to finally get rid of the singular form of "...Comic Sample Page", makes kinda sense after more than 40 posted pages. Also to include the new concept of this thread as a gathering place for my screenshots. Did I just change the subject?

 

The new main character for this epilogue isn't yet featured this week. Just who could it be?! And before somebody comes barging in - I ripped that final line from a 'SLEDGE HAMMER!' comic, a one-time exception since I just love that quip and found it very fitting. Normally I refrain from stealing gags, such behaviour is bound to come out eventually, damaging an artist's reputation. That's why I told you the source of the gag.

 

By the way, Marvel Comics released only two issues of that comic book. As a die-hard fan of that old legendary TV show, I truly jumped at the chance to get these books when I was on a school trip to Munich, back in 1989. Got them from a huge comic book store specialized in American stuff. Fond memories... Given the rarity of those two books, I wonder if they are actually valuable today, maybe a few more Dollars than those 75 Cents they did cost twenty years ago? I also have the first issue of 'Punisher Vol. 1' and other assorted crap.

Geez, you finally post your random screens which I missed for so long time. I'm really very amused by the second and last shot, it seems Nora likes to helping ladies who need love. The dwemer-themed brunette also catch my eye (although I do not know her name, sadly) as I totally love steampunk.

But my favourite is of course the first one. You probably know why ^.^

 

Returning to comics - those guys remind my a pair of my old good mates. Always nasty and malicious to each other, but still best friends.

But for insulting miss Kitty, Dunmer #1 should get an arrow in the knee, spear in back and axe in the crotch. And judgment should be performed by the most cruel and heartless murderer in Tamriel!

Hiya, HoppyD! Now this is funny - I found posting pictures like these I've been missing for a very long time. Sure, there are neither faaabulous endorsements to get nor is there a possibility to get top image ranking, but nowadays I prefer being on here and upload my stuff in this thread, where people genuinely interested in these characters can check them out.

 

The robot-girl is one of my latest characters. Her name is 'Kobbla the Mech-Tech', a mechanical genius in possession of the lost secrets to most ancient Dwemer technology. Initially created as yet another friend and member of Kitty's gang, I had the idea to make her a villainess instead. Bent on flooding Cyrodiil with her army of steam-powered constructs, she lives in a huge Dwemer city in Morrowind, plotting and roboting...

I so love the Dwemer aspect of 'Elder Scrolls' lore. Now with the right assets at my disposal, a character specialized on this fascinating topic finally has become possible.

 

That pumpkin witch from the picture with the magical sparring match is actually Nora's 'big' sister, 'Winni the Witch'.

Recently created, I thought of making her something like the 'white sheep' of Nora's family, the only one of them not inclined to the Dark Arts of Necromancy. As good-hearted as Nora, but not into dead and decaying things, so to speak. Now she only needs a black cat to be complete.

 

About the comic - Dunmer #1 already looks quite judged in the final panel...

Yeah, Kodiak, I've been pondering this over the course of weeks. Dissatisfied with the thread title for ages now, finally renaming the thread became a necessity with its expansion to my 'personal picture dump'. I was aware of the danger long-time readers might be having trouble to find the thread with a different title, but since I've got only this one here and the 'KrisTa' thread, the comic isn't that hard to find again.

In a short while, the new title will have become the norm and the old one will be a thing of the past.

 

Though I already posted it in a mod thread, let me just leave this one here. I got the feeling I've seen the guy before somewhere !
