Alright, somewhat related to the above I just made a slight update in preparation for getting back to uoploading sims, probably during the coming weekend I should have something ready to go. 

 

The update I made was to the shared CC archive, which now includes fixed versions of the CC skintones I intend to continue using going forwards (I've been going through what I have and at the moment I've concluded that there's a couple shades, most notably like light olive shades and such, that I can't quite reproduce with the new sliders and base game skintones). In addition to that I threw in some CC items I've found myself using frequently, this includes some accessories, a new set of eyelashes and, several heeled shoes and some underwear CC as well as a fixed version of one of the sliders I'm using (Cmar's breast separation slider). 

 

What I'm going to be doing in the near future is reupload (possibly updated) versions of all sims and households that went into versions 1 and 2 of my world, mostly just to get them in line with the skintone update and possibly to do some new skills and traits setup, and give sims lifestyles where appropriate. I've found the best way to get back on track with that one is to recreate the save and keep on updating from there so that's why I'm doing that. These are probably going to be reuploaded in batches, several at a time. 

 

I'll likely also throw in 2 new sims that are pretty much complete, as well the updated versions of Linnie and Cara as a first order of priority for new uploads and major updates. 

 

I'm also seriously considering to stop doing the detailed CC credits lists I've been doing. First off I'm not sure if anyone is actually reading them, other sim creators don't do them, and actually putting them together takes 1-2 hours depending on how much CC has been used for a sim or household, which considerably adds to the time it takes me to upload a sim (that's not including the time to write up the description post and take the pictures I need) and plays a big part in whether or not I feel like I have the time to spare to upload anything on a particular day or not. I hope this won't be a big problem for people, and in general my mod folders should be tidy enough that finding and identifying specific pieces of CC and their creators should still be pretty easy.

Nah, there's more shared stuff really. It'll still be more or less the same I expect, you can live through replacing (or not)  some every now and then.

Holy crap, I do read them when I suspect the archive might be missing some CC or I really like some CC and want to check out the creator but that amount of time is crazy. I'm all for you dropping them, we can just ask you if we want that info.

That's nice to hear. I'm thithinking I'll still do the credits, but probably gonna be more in the vein of looking over the mod folder and throwing up links to the creators that are still around. That'd cut back on the time this all takes significantly and still provide some links like that.

I always read through the credits if I see CC I like, in the previews. I've always wished others listed them like you do.

I also read through the credits, and I have mentioned before that I appreciate all the time and work that it requires. I realized how much time it takes, but I never looked at it from the big picture. With ALL the sims you are creating, all that time gets accumulated into a a massive amount of time spent chasing links and posting credits. You definitely should just have a general credits section (in the OP) with links to the creator's sites (not to specific CC). If anyone ever wants information on a specific item, asking always works.

Oh, yeah that sounds like a neat way to do it (putting it on the front page) as sort of part CC credits, part CC finds. Look through new sims and coming updates and put anything new into there as it's put to use, should mean I'll spend less and less time on it as I go on.

Latest version of S4 Studio includes a batch fix for makeup to use hue/saturation. Probably not worth reuploading that Shared CC archive just for the fixed makeup, but I thought I'd mention it.

Edit: I've included the fixed makeup in this post since S4 Studio can take a while if you've got tons of makeup to go through, might be faster to just download it here.

THIS! Trust me, this is a way better way to give CC creators credit rather than linking to every single item. By doing this, you not only save time, you also send people to the creators' sites. This means that each user can look through that content creator's entire catalog rather just one particular file.

There's a reason I do what @2cool4u_1 for PBW 2.0. You'll be glad you switched over to this method.

The EA Teeth Begone! package in the Shared CC archive seems to be a little outdated judging by date and size, I only noticed today 'cause I'm doing a cleanup of my folders. Hi ladies and gentlemen. Anybody know why Candy has become a bodybuilder? I check my mods folder and i don't instal a slider (except the shared cc folder). I miss something? Incompatibility with cc of another character? Thanks for your help!

 

edit: same thing on Hannah and Alexis, abs are really oversized, something reduce/change this in cc?

@jak519 My Candy looks identical in CAS. In game the effect is somewhat lessened, in my experience it comes down to what skin replacement you're using. I am using wild guy's default nude skin replacement, I believe @mrrakkonn uses Luumia's Smoothish II, you can find that in the Shared CC folder.

I'll look to updating the shared CC folder with all you guys suggested here. Unfortunately I've kind of been swamped and didn't get the time I expected to have to make any updates. Hopefully something this Friday onwards, first up is going to be Linnie and Cara update.

Again updated the shared CC folder with the sugggested changes above.

I also added new folder called Z_InactiveCustomSliders which currrently includes a single slider from Redhead sims (link in the Shared CC credits below), it's placed in this folder because it conficts with Cmar's breast sliders, in the sense that both are active, but you can only really use one of them in CAS at a time, the one that loads first more precisely, by playing around with folder names I can influence which the game loads first and which I can use in CAS (while both are still active so to speak, understand?). The thing is I've now used it on some sims now, but I don't want it to lock me out of using Cmar's sliders in CAS, so I've put it in this folder which I change the name of whenever I want to actually use it on a sim. For anyone using this, just leave the name as is, you'll get the appearance you should from sims I use it on, but you'll still be able to use Cmar's breast shape sliders.

Alright, updated versions of Linnie and Cara have now been uploaded. And the post describing them has been updated as well. I ran into some problems with that, as it seems LL now doesn't let you upload more than 20 files/images to a post, and I also wasn't able to get pasting pictures I uploaded to third party sites to work properly either. So I instead stuck the outfit lookbooks in archives attached to the post. 

 

    

 

There's a number of changes, most notably Cara has been substantially reworked as I noted in a post last year, and Linnie has seen some changes as well in terms of skin details and outfits. Leon and Miranda have new hairstyles. In addition to that there's a number of skill and trait changes, and everyone has been set up with lifestyles. Another change is that I made Linnie and Cara younger and closer in age (22 and 25) than they used to be, and the family archvie no longer includes younger versions of the girls, meaning the parents now are set as slighlty older than they used to be. 

 

Lastly everyone has been set up for the optional Language Barriers mod, with Linnie and Cara being native speakers of both Simlish and Selvadoradian and Leon and Miranda having Simlish and Selvadoradian as native languages respectively (with points in the others' native language skill).

Rita Valenta, Desmond Boyce and Alina Valenta

 

 

UPDATE 5/20/23: Updated version of Rita (mostly traits, skills, minor changes to warderobe and makeup), added Desmond Boyce to the household and added Rita's younger sister Alina (NEW SIM).

 

I made Rita because I wanted to add a slightly older (though she's still only 30) porn star to my list of sims affiliated with aspects of the AEP mod. I imagine Rita to have been in the business for quite a while, to the point that she's now pretty famous, she's a 4-star celebrity and is at the max rank of the AEP porn actor career track. 

 

 

Rita is originally from Europe and with the Language Bariers mod I've set her up with Windenburgish (German I guess?) as her native language. Though her last name "Valenta" is something I got from looking up Czech names that began with a "V" to go along with the V on the choker I set her up with in many outfits.  She has maxed out skill in Simlish to reflect fluency, as she's been living in the United States (or "Sim Nation" if I remember it right) since she was about 19 years old. 

 

      

 

She moved to the States to work in modeling and study, which rapidly got into doing nude modeling and porn. Rita was quickly a viewer favorite with veiwers and other performers, an energetic and sexy performer. Some of her most popular scenes were with already popular male performer Desmond Boyce, and it wasn't only on camera that the two had good chemistry as they started dating and are now married.

 

      

 

Rita has always been a thrill-seeker, beyond just pursuing a career in the adult industry and being a highly sexual person, she's got the Adrenaline seeker lifestyle and has skill points in skiing, snowboarding and rock climbing. She doesn't let that lose her focus though, and actually has some genuine business acumen. She and her husband even dabble some in the production side of things, directing and producing scenes together and with other performers (under the whole AEP umbrella). As she's getting to be a bit older she's also begun considering re-enrolling in universe to get a degree, she's an avid reader and a good learner, even though her original plan to study in the US didn't really work out as planned. 

 

 

Alina is Rita's younger sister, though the age gap between them meant they weren't super close as kids. Nevertheless Alina always looked up to her older sister, and in many ways wanted to be like her, which has led her down much the same career track as Rita since she was old enough to follow it. Though unlike her sister, Alina has been able to draw on her sister's name and recognition as well as connections to make her way. Nevertheless she's been having

some success on her own accord and is herself well along in becoming a successful and established porn performer. 

Rita and Alina are frequently seen together, at parties and events, though the two do not perform in scenes together, a much requested scene of Desmond and Alina has also so far been denied to fans, though who knows what the tuture holds.

@mrrakkonn Thank you so much for the Stojanovic update, I love the changes! Cara's rework is amazing and even small things like giving her the Super Parent aspiration and the Mediator trait go a long way to understanding the family dynamic, I live for that stuff. I used to ignore Cara before for the most part, I'll use her more now for sure (but Linnie remains my #1 of all your Sims, some things just don't change)! ?

The mystery of "random shoes in swimwear" continues, both Miranda and Cara have that but Linnie doesn't. Easy fix but puzzling.

Question about the inactive slider; can you let us know if it's used on a specific Sim so we can load it first? I imagine that weird stuff might happen if we try to edit the body and cmar's has loaded first but I could be wrong.

Cara uses it. Anyway, it's hard to explain, but solely from a visual perspective you don't need to worry about stuff, like you will see the effects of both sliders, but you'll only be able to make edits using one of them (the one that loads first, which with the folder structure that comes with the Shared CC folder, should be Cmar's). I know it's still a bit unclear modspeak probably, but trust me it makes sense.

 

If you want to try Redheadsims's breast alteration slider put it in a folder (by the way, sliders should not be more than 1 folder deep in your mod folder in general) with a name that starts with "!" or "0" or something like that, to put it higher in the load order. You can then edit breast shap from profile view by dragging up and down, but you'll notice you can no longer use Cmar's breast separation slider (though the effects of it for sims I or you have used it on will still be visible).

That girl is very much still WIP and I'm going to have to shift my focus towards working on updating my world for a little while. Also not supposed to be Egyptian specifically.

By the way. Putting the outfit pics in attached archives, is that working out for people? As I mentioned it's a solution I sort of had to come up with on the fly due to the new post upload limit. 

 

Also not that the main file description has been updated with lnks to CC creators (under "General CC Creator Credits")
