Hi, I have two questions:
1) Someone above mentioned a world. Is it something planned ?

2) Can I use your creation to make and upload a story on my blog ? I plan to make new stories, lighter than what i've made so far. I discover some of your sims and places, it give me some ideas.

1) It's linked in my signature and the description page for this collection. It's very much in an early state and I was unable to put in work on it and my sims for about a month and half (I also work pretty deliberately and like to take my time). Have a link here as well

Now I've updated and reuploaded Alisha as well, who received many more changes than the other strippers (though I ended up sticking with the old skintone), making it necessary to redo all the pictures in the post describing her. Some time back I also generated a brother for her. I've not finished him yet, but the intention is to put him in as a normal gang member in the Cosa Simstra in my world. He'll likely be uploaded together with the rest of the "Alto Crime Family" sometime in the near future and I'll also upload an additonal household with both of them after that.

Sorry to have to say this, but after spending nearly two hours yesterday downloading and instaling all the files, when I final got to play your saved game I found that none of the female sims looked like the ones in your screenshots ifact most of them looked like they had escaped from some wired genetics lab and I also found problems with missing countent fron with in the cas objects skin, hair , clouths and so on, infact I was so disapointed I end up deleting every thing from my system.

That's too bad, though it certainly sounds like you either did not download everything necessary or if you did that you did not put it in its proper place. For the save file there is a separate download (and thread by the way, would have been better to comment there) one of which is the save file and the rest is the CC for the lots and sims. Though looking at it it does seem like I did not include the shared CC in there (it's noted in the file description), which contains the custom sliders and most of the skin details I use. 

Since you deleted everything there isn't really much I can do to help you further, but it really seems to me that you did not in fact install everything properly and I'm sorry that you were disappointed.

This, or maybe have other sliders in the mods directory.

I had a couple of sliders that I installed for mistake and they were ruining the appearances of many sims, including yours.

After removing them, everything went back as normal.

An option might be to use the MCCC feature to paste a tray sim onto a sim in your world, though I'm not really familiar with how well that works. "

 

I was expecting you to say that, I was not aware of this particular MCCC feature.  I need to look into it.  To many replacement versions of townies and households have created a situation for me where I can't use the "MCCC" function of restricting the townies to gallery only.  I end up with duplicates, so I am either going to have to go back and save/delete whatever combinations from the gallery or live with this.   If anyone has some good ideas on how to manage this problem.  Please let me know.

I finally got a clip of this because I've seen a few of your sims do these fancy dances and I was curious about it. I hope you can view the video. But in this clip, Florita Hernandez is dancing in a club and she does a few sexy moves. Which I've seen amongst a few of your other sims. But not the Maxis stock sims. What are these dances? Could all (female) sims do this or is it something specific to yours?

@Nalebranc It's the Selvadoradian (or however the hell you spell that) culture dance. Sims do it when they've got level 4 or 5 of the culture skill. I've given it at either level 3 or 5 to many of my latin sims, because it's neat to have as a cultural signifier of sorts (even if it's very specific rather than broad).

Nah dancing is an important part of Latin American culture. As well as Hispanic Caribbean culture.

So since I began working on integrating Basemental Gangs into my world, by way of the Cosa Simstra, I was thinking pretty early on that I'd have to make a version of Frankie Fusilli and his daughter Ara from the handheld games to put in that gang. Though since I wanted to build the gang around Nick Alto being the boss, which I really felt made the most sense because of "Alto" being an obvious reference to "Soprano" (which I've mentioned several times before), it made it a bit awkward how I was going to fit in Frankie, who's pretty explicitly designed as a stereotypical mob boss in appearance (and I can't really find much info on his personality, so that's really all he is). 

 

Still I wanted to fit them in partly because I had this sim girl in my WIP bin who I eventually figured could make a pretty good Ara. She used to have a different hairstyle, but I really like how she looks now. 

 

 

So that's her and I kind of have to fit in her dad as well. Early on I had the idea of making Frankie Fusilli be Vita Alto's brother, but put that aside for a while until I now brought it back. I had made an earlier version of him (I may have posted it here) where I loosely based his appearance on a combination of the picture of him from the handhelds and for good measure I also decided to begin using Toni Cipriani from GTA III (and Liberty City Stories) as a reference both for his appearance and his personality to make a version of Frankie Fusilli who's a bit younger and not (yet) the boss.

 

I've decided to throw that version away, though not using Toni Cipriani as a reference/inspiration. As I said I decided to bring back my earlier idea of him being Vita Alto's brother, but I also wanted to rectifty him not actually having any genetic relation to the sim I decided to use as Ara Fusilli, so through the magic of sim genetics I made a new version of Frankie where as a base I combined the genetics of Ara Fusilli and Vita Alto, then edited him using Toni Cipriai as a reference again. I also threw in a little bit of actor Robert Davi with the acne scars.

 

 

He now looks a bit younger than my old version, which makes sense for someone who's going to be an enforcer in the gang and hinted at to be the best possible successor for Nick Alto (considering his do-gooder daughter Holly), as Toni Cipriani is for Salvatore Leone (who has a son who isn't really cut out to follow him) in GTA III. Since I don't care thaaat much for preserving the "timeline" of the old sim characters i use as my inspiration as I do just making up my own, I'll most likely keep Ara Fusilli a young adult, like she was in the handhelds, mostly because I like the sim I have of her as she is. In a further nod to the GTA referemces I generated a mother for Frankie Fusilli (and Vita Alto), who (also a further reference) I'll probably have own a restuarant and she'll be evil and mean and have a bad relationship with her children. I like how she came out looking though.

EDIT: Also made a little overview of all the sims I'm going to use for the Cosa Simstra gang, led by Nick Alto, with his brother Bert as his right-hand man. I think, as far as basic appearances go, they're all now more or less settled.

Mazuiko Jackson

 

Rather than a normal Sims game, this girl is based on a sim from the Urbz (whcih I guess makes her an "Urb"). I never played that game but looking on the wiki figured she'd be a bit fun to make. I recently sort of stumbled into finishing her and she's now joining the rest of the cast of strip club employees I have built up. So she'll be coming to the next version of my world as well. 

 

In the Urbz she is an 18-year old former stripper who now owns and operates a sushi bar. She seems to be a little bit out there, both with the images I could find typically having her having a pretty menacing grin and saying stuff like how "she can cut blowfish livers and put on lipstick at the same time".

In my version of her she's still a stripper but to reflect her future prospects she's got a wealth aspiration (giving her the business savvy trait) and decent (for someone young) cooking and gourmet cooking skill as well as a little bit of logic. That said I also portray her as more than a little unhinged as she's got the Erratic personality trait and the Uncontrolled Emotions and Insensitive traits from Parenthood. To further make her a bit restless and hyperactive I've also given her the ADHD trait from Basemental Drugs. Playing her (which would mean quitting her stripper job if you do it in the upcoming new version of my world) and actually having her try to run a restaurant might be fun if you try to roleplay or exaggerate the effects of those traits. 

 

 

 

She's got a lot of shared outfits between the various categories, this is partly because her dressing style is a bit eclectic to say the least, and she's got relatively few "ordinary" outfits, there's especially a lot of overlap between everyday, party and hot weather. Like with my previous stripper sims I saved her stripper outfit to one of her formal outfits, the third one. If you have her employed in a strip club and want her to wear it it's as simple as using the MC Dresser module of MCC to copy her second formal outfit (hair, clothing, accessories, makeup) to her career outfit.

 

UPDATE 8/8/21: New hairstyle with custom swatch added instead of ombre/highlight accessory, other than that outfit changes here and there. New lookbook pics uploaded below.

Frankie Fusilli + Family

 

So as I mentioened further up above, when I started to make sims for the Basemental Gangs mod, it made alot of sense to include a sim based on Frankie Fusilli from one of the handheld games. However with the decision to have Nick Alto be the boss of the Cosa Simstra, exactly how to implement him became a little bit awkward until recently when I decided to sort of include him, but make him younger and partly base his appearance and characterization on Toni Cipriani from GTA III and Liberty City Stories. So that's essentially what I ended up with and I like the result. He's a getaway driver in the criminal career and will be an enforcer in the Cosa Simstra working for Nick Alto, who's his brother-in-law, because I also decided that'd be a neat connection and a nod both to the original Frankie Fusilli as a possible future boss, which also is how Toni Cipriani eventually ends up. 

 

 

Another nod to Toni Cipriani is the inclusion of an evil and mean mother who hopefully can do a pretty good job bosssing him (and her daughter and son-in-law) around, or at least yelling at them and being unpleasant, when I get to placing them in the world, as she'd be Vita Alto's mother as well. I decided on the name "Olivia", but I can't quite remember why. I think I had a reason. 

 

 

Also included here is Frankie Fusilli's daughter Ara (probably short for Ariana if I were to guess), who is described as smart, sassy and terminally bored. Even though I made Frankie younger, I chose to leave Ara as a young adult, becasue why not, I like her as she is and I was using a previously created (but unfinished) sim for her that I think turned out looking pretty cool. She's got the Clubber trait from Basemental Drugs and she's unemployed. If you've got roBurky's Meaningful Stories she should actually have lingering boredom as well!

 

Because of the relation to the Alto family (Frankie being VIta's brother and Olivia their mother) I uploaded an additional archive, "Extended Alto Family". This is the tray files for a household which combines the Alto and Fusilli families with relations set, because of the 8-sim limitation, Alfoso's wife and daughter has been excluded from this one, but can be relatively easily added back in by putting them in the world after you place the extended Alto family, and setting Lopita as Alfonso's wife and Ashley as his daughter using MCCC. 

 

Update 7/9/2020: Ara Fusilli now has the Restless custom trait by Kuttoe. It's noted and linked below. You'll have to download this separately, as sticking this in with the download risks including outdated versions. 

The new tray files are included in the "Extended Alto Family" archive which now also includes Ashley and Lopita as a separate hosuehold (so now also requires the CC from Alfonso's Love Triangle).

It's simple enough to set sims as siblings and child/parent yeah, don't know if it will recognize further relationships as a result of this though (so no uncles/nieces/nephews etc.). 

 

As for the Cosa Simstra, rest of the gang will most likely be up sometimme during this week.

I created a brother and father for Geoffrey Landgraab and the game atleast recogniced them as "uncle" and grandfather" for Malcolm. I think I will have greater success getting it to work if I add the household to the Altos directly in CAS, with fullcasedit on, and only then split them off to their own household, although the game sometimes get whiny that you "can't edit pre-existing sims" even with fullcasedit. In either case I should atleast get "mother" and "brother" working, but we'll see.

Now that you mentioned it, it was only your Latina-types that did those moves. I don't mess with Selvadorado too much so I didn't know it was a part of that skill. Well that's cool, sure made those sims pretty sexy doing those dance moves.

Also some other stuff. Most of you you know I use height sliders for most of my screenshots (and I usually work around clipping and misalignments using camera angles and TOOL, or temporarily changing sims' heights). Up until now I had been setting all my sim heights with the assumption I had decided on that the default height was about 5'9" or 5'10" there about, but I had never really actually measured it or compared it to objects. 

 

Turns out other people have though and googling it it actually turns out adult sims are supposed to be more in the range of between 6'0" and 6'1" or exactly 6' tall as the first google result says. So I think I've decided to more or less reset my sims' heights using this new assumption. Compared with a child sim (who is probably supposed to be around 4') it does perhaps look a bit more reasonable, I chose one of my taller male sims (6'4") and one of my shortest female sims (~4'11"-4'12") as comparison, on the left is with my old assumption and on the right with the new exactly 6' tall baseline.

 

 

As you can see the relative height difference between the adults is unchanged, but they are both shorter compared to the child sim. There's a couple of benefits, first in that this is probably better scaled comapred to objects in the world, and second that I will have to make less use of very high sldier values for taller sims. The second is good becuase with the slider I'm using very tall sims become stretched and you can't really make them as wide, they become tall and somewhat thin or stretched, so this is better for tall and muscular sims. 

 

Not really of much interest to anyone who doesn't use the same height slider that I use, but I'm probably going to be moving all my sims over to this new scaling I've worked out rather than the old one, which means any updated or new sims will be using the new height scaling. Also the stated heights of some of my sims are going to change somewhat with this because I stilll want to keep it all in the 13/25/38/50/... intervals for my slider values which, with a different 0-value means that some of the heights thes values correspond to will change. For instance Linnie is more like 4'11/4'12 now with the new scaling rather than 5'0", and there's a couple of other changes as well. I even made a table...

OK I've been wanting to play with height sliders for a while, mostly to use on your sims I have in my game. The one I did try randomized the height of all sims and I don't care to repeat that again. You still use the slider from MTS by GODJUL1? I found if using that one, specific values can be applied using MCCC to modify feet values. I really just want to avoid having all sims' heights randomized when I want to set specific ones. Thanks again for the hard work!
