kimmy1235 Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 I've been having an issue with one of the sexlab/devious devices mods that lets me tie up characters I put into a prone position (that point where they stumble near death) or I sneak up on. When tied up, they are on their knees, with their arms behind their back, able to be interacted in several ways in this animation/pose. My issue is that if I decide to attack these characters (which I thought would be a good way to get "easy exp"), the game will suddenly crash. If I were to hazard a guess, then I assume that the issue is conflicting animation scripts, where the character is trying to stumble from my attack, while being told to stay still because of the "bound" pose. The animation scripts conflict and compete, with neither winning, and since two animations can't happen at once, the game implodes. Now I could be wrong about this, but whatever the problem is, I was wondering if there is a known fix to this issue. While bound characters have a "kill" command attached to them with this mod, I would like to sometimes burn my victims alive if I feel like it.

I'm not entirely sure that I understand what you are asking. In your first sentence you seem to be describing an NPC in bleedout. In your second sentence you talk about a bound NPC. What would help me would be a screenshot from just before this occurs (preferably in a spoiler), your load order (preferably from LOOT and preferably in a spoiler) and possibly a papyrus log that will allow me to see what is going on (what mods are active) when all this is happening.

Sorry I made what I said so complicated. I'll try to simplify it a bit more. Firstly, this is the pose I was talking about. Spoiler While in this pose, the A.I is pretty much helpless, and will not do anything unless you give it another command to release it for this position (this is a hostile enemy I subdued and then used a command to get them "tied" in this pose). Before I forget it, you can get information about papyrus logs and logging in many spots. I think (and I would, wouldn't I?) that the best source is my blog, specifically the post dealing with papyrus logs (the link to which is in my signature below). You have a short mod list and I see no obvious incompatibilities (although you have some overlap which may be an issue - most specifically daymoyl and defeat). What mod are you using to get the NPC into that vulnerable position?

I looked through my mod manager for what has a hotkey for "G", but I came up empty. However, I think I might have solved the issue by reloading my animations in game. Not sure if it is what really fixed the issue, but when I tried to duplicate the issue today, I was able to kill the bound NPC without a crash. Might have been a coincidence, but for right now it seemed to work. That aside, how exactly does Defeat and daymoyl conflict? Actually, which mod is daymoyl, because while I realize it is an acronym, I don't know for which mod. Also, if these mods do conflict, then which one do you suggest I should keep?

Daymoyl is Death Alternative - Your Money Or Your Life. It and Defeat do pretty much the same thing and that makes for some unpredictable overlap. Both are good mods and feel free to use either one but I would recommend against using both. Since this is LL I suppose I would give the nod to Defeat (since it's here and not on Nexus). Among other things that means, as far as I'm concerned, that you are more likely to get support for it when you need it. Anyway, glad things are working for you. Happy hunting.
Grey Cloud Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 I'm a bit late here but I think G is from Defeat - it's the key to target an NPC.

Actually Defeat was build with daymol as a requirement, and while some things changed to make it optional, i'd still recommend using both. As far as i remember the only thing that actually conflicts is Defeats "don't die" feature but i just import my settings since years, i admit there might be more. Still, if it works now his settings seem to be ok. Daymol is death alternative - your money or your live.
