In today's previews I would like to talk about hair, skin fat and muscles contraction.

Hair Physics provides a lot of realism compared to vanilla static hair, especially for long hair.

 

This preview focuses on its behavior during fast movements and short stops.

TITAN Fullbody Collisions makes hair collide with the female head and shoulders.
It also makes hair stroking possible and realistic.

While skin fat concern both genders, it is mostly noticeable with the female pelvis area which includes the belly, the love handles, the butt and the thighs.

 

I wanted this area done in a way that we actually feel that there is fat.

 

We saw it jiggling in the TITAN Fullbody Physics preview.
In this preview, I would like to show you how skin fat behaves when we sit down or when we push our thighs against a flat surface.

Muscles contraction affects the man pectorals and both gender’s butt.

 

On the following preview, you can see how the man’s pectorals swell under effort.
At the end, the man also contracts his butt.

 

 

It could be used for workout animations at the gym, or when the man is grabbing the woman's hips in doggy, we could see him thighten his muscles before giving her a good pounding.

 

There are plenty of possibilities. What are your ideas ? ?

I love the idea and the project, I'm currently learning to make animations (currently I only know how to make poses) because I'm new to blender and I'm learning to use the tools because I've always used cinema4d, hopefully good news of the project in the future it's one of the two mods that I look forward to in the future (the second is multiplayer mod) and I have a question, will you make physical clothing as well?

The fat and muscle physics are incredible, I never saw anything like this in video games. This is the world first I guess.

 

Im just wondering whatever is it possible to be implemented into TS4???

 

Or is it just a tech demo, something that you still need to find out how to implement it into the game?

Well, color me impressed with this proof of concept, but I like many others would like to see this all applied in the game engine and not just blender. I suppose that will be a reveal before the Patron opening ( best show in-game before asking funds, my 2 cents anyways ). I do worry however of the application of such "physics" to in-game oblects such as clothing, I see clipping in the future along with skin layers make-up, modded hair styles an furniture. The sex is all fine and good but it's not just that within the sims 4.

 

Again I applaude the innovation going on, but I just see more issues in the future once this does go live.

Cm'on man Chill... They've already stated that this will be free for all, patron or not and that they're saving the in-game photos for later. This isn't costing you or forcing you to do anything. No need to get disrespectful.

 

@REDFACTION Your work is amazing, I can already see all the effort and hard work you've put into this and I cannot wait to see more! You have my full support. I'm also sorry if some are being a bit... much. There have been people in the past that have taken advantage of the community here or have just up and disappeared without any updates to their work so some are still on edge from that I guess. I don't see that in you at all and definitely believe in what you're doing. I understand this is a HUGE task and it's going to require some patience from us but just the fact that you're trying to tackle this alone... That's amazing and I really appreciate it all!

1. I assume that this mod will be friendly towards Sims with gender diverse and queer bodies? I don't see why it would not be, but you have only shown cis/dyadic Sims in previews, so I wanted to double check!

 

1.5 Will animated vulvas be supported? I have some old and super unfinished things related to that, if you want? I don't know if it would be any good to you, but I am pretty open to having my WIPs reused, so just let me know.

 

2. One big problem with WW is animation clipping with chubby Sims. Some EA animations can avoid it to a degree, but most WW animations are trapped in clipping hell. Is this something your system will avoid?

 

Do we get chubby Sims with cute bouncing bellies?

Last Sunday's topic was about kinematics and today's topics are enhanced breasts and penis skin.

 

I'm going to talk about all three topics today to get back in the race ?

Kinematics stands for how helpful the rig is when you need to animate specific movements.

 

For standing up animations, standard rigs are already very helpful in their actual state.

But, if you wish for example to make a doggy style animation, there is no way (as far as I know) to pin the woman’s knees to the ground so they don’t move. Animators actually spend a lot of time to adjust their position manually so you feel like her knees don’t move, but they do.

 

TITAN Kinematics provides tools to pin one or both knees in the position you like.
At the beginning of the preview, I’m showing a man doing back and forth movements in doggy with one knee on the ground.
Next, the preview shows a woman in doggy with both her knees pinned.

While the main purpose of kinematics is to release animators from tedious work, look how it also makes the doggy style feel just right.

The rig is “aware” that her knees are pinned on the ground and it makes all the difference.

 

TITAN Hair Grip and TITAN Elbow Lock work the same way : they provide tools so you can animate situations where the woman’s head is fetched, or where the sims are resting on a table on their elbows.

Thanks to Denton47 we can already animate the breasts.
Some rigs (like Dagger or Nanashi) even have breasts physics.

 

While this was a great achievement, I never was satisfied with the result.

 

Firstly, with only 2 bones to animate the breasts, you can’t compress them : they will move towards each other but they will keep their original shape and volume.
Secondly, old breasts physics was very weird, bounced excessively, penetrated the female body and the breasts didn’t gave the feeling of beeing “full”.

 

TITAN Expanded Bones increases breasts bones from 2 to 8.
TITAN Fullbody Physics provides realistic breasts bouncing : now we do feel like they are somewhat heavy.

TITAN Collisions makes sure that the breasts don’t penetrate the female body, and allow animators to make the sims touch, compress or push them up.

Last but not least, this improvement is totally retro-compatible : your old animations will still play the exact same they did before, even if they don’t contain the new bones’ animation.

I give a lot of attention to the details. I think they can make an animation go from good to excellent.

 

For instance taking the penis, and especially the masturbation, I always thought that we lacked some visual effect showing the penis skin coming back and forth with hands movements.

 

TITAN Fullbody Physics makes penis skin sensitive to touches.
Check out the difference with this feature turned on and off in the last part of the preview. On .Noir. Pornstar Cock the effect is mostly noticeable at the penis base.

While penis physics already does 90% of the work, enabling penis skin physics brings that little extra purists are looking for.

 

Again, there is nothing to animate and all of this is fully automatic.

I admit I have a gaming computer. I have no idea what will be the impact on performances on lower rigs.

It plays smoothly for me. I didn't see any difference.

The TITAN rig is indeed designed for characters with a standard body, for both the animation and the physics simulation.

 

It means that like for any custom animation, you will get unfortunate clipping in game on fat sims.

 

BUT, Zheur brought to my attention that Dagger successfully solved this issue and provided a procedure to avoid clipping.

I didn't see this awesome discovery from Dagger and it is not implemented in TITAN.

 

I don't think it will be implemented before release because there are plenty of stuff to do already, but this is for sure something I will study ?

Let me explain you a few things in order to answer to your question :

 

Fristly, there is no physics in The Sims 4.

The physics must be simulated in blender and then recorded within the animation.

This means that the physics is simulated once and for all whatever the hair the sims have.

 

For now : my pony tail physics is as a consequence the only hair physics available.

All my animations will include pony tail hair physics. If you are using this hairstyle you will see the physics. If you are using another hairstyle, it will behave normally without physics.

 

In order to make hair physics available for all hairstyle, we must :

  1. Find a way to equip the hair as an object instead of a CAS part
  2. Find a way to unequip the CAS part and replace it by its object counterpart each time you start an animation
  3. Develop a batch to simulate all hairstyles physics for every animation

Every time an animator will create an animation with TITAN, there will be one file for the animation and one file for each hairstyle.

So let's say we support 10 hairstyles, that requires 10x physics simulation and 10 hairstyle animations files, for each animation.

 

You have got it : that's a hell of a work ? but it's absolutely doable if we automate it with scripts and batchs.

It's a ready-to-implement feature in TITAN ? but it won't be implemeted for now because I'm unfortunatly restricted by the 180 bones cap.

 

The TITAN rig is already +45 bones above the cap and I cannot go further without seriously impacting the game.

 

I will talk about clothes physics in a dedicated post later.

Let me get into the technical details again if you don't mind :

 

For the physics to be displayed in game, the mesh must have the new TITAN bones weight paint.

Presently, if your sims is wearing clothes, you won't see any physics because the bones are not weight painted.

 

For now I'm working with Hiroki's Better Body and .Noir.'s Pornstar Cock.

If Hiroki and .Noir. allow me to publish a modified version of their mesh, you will get the physics I'm showing to you in blender for your naked sims.

 

For the physics to be displayed on other meshes such as the clothes, we must convert them by weight painting the new TITAN bones.

This will be an ongoing work everyone will be able to do once the mod is released.

I will write a tutorial on how to do it and we will share our convertions on a dedicated thread ?

1. My mod requires to define a "giver" and a "receiver" which are for now the man and the woman because I'm a selfish heterosexual ? but I do considerate the other communities and this is something I need to work on. May I ask you to send me through PM the mechanisms you would like to see ?
