I got a vague memory about reading somewhere about them learning about the metric system and slowly incorporating it. It just takes time. Since rest of the world uses it already.
zippy57 Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 They teach the metric system in schools when necessary (like in Physics class) but in terms of public use there's no incorporation of the metric system. I don't like it either. The metric system has such a nice simple series of 10/100/1000 and the imperial system is 12/3/1760 (which incidentally looks a lot like a date).

American schools teach things? News to me, and I'm American. One more example of learning more out of school than I ever did in school. And wow did we derail this thread. nirax Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 first of kudos for this mod which was i think the first of its kind for new vegas. however i think especially the start has some rather sewere logic flaw which falls nowadays a little back comparing with newer mods. in special if you stay in char and dont want ´actively´ to get enslaved its either quite stupid to give the ammo (maybe there should be a small int check, or results even in a direct issue if the player actually doesnt requires any amo for its weapons to work xD see below the issue, ie ´bug report´, AI-script-sanity check, as small comic anyway the good thing is i can stay in char and well.. she can totally avoid the unpleasant situation cheers. attention: ATTACHMENT INCLUDES SPOILER.

You can see that i do not select the "dont hurt me i do anything you say" option (see in the ´comic´ (pictures between 5->6) for the dialogue transition as reference) .. in fact i select instead "fuck off" leading them to attack as they are assuming that the char has no working weapons having removed him of his ammo.. heh... ^^

I was kidnapped to the sewers, when I was knocked out by a rape from a fire-gecko... and I had a robot with me as companion... it is still with me, so I think it is safe.. And does anyone know if the equipement is gone forever, or if it can be picked up somewhere? (Ex.: is there maybe a box hidden in the sewers where Dermot put the equipment in?) I hope so, because I seriously have nothing now... Luckily I have saved the game right before I got captured! Edit: Never mind my answers... Looks like the help comes from random people... And the second time I got captured(started from my previous save game), my robot isn't there anymore... Also, isn't this still a little bit buggy... Me(in-game) was told that my head would explode if I try to leave the sewers, and well I left several times and I'm still alive... After getting raped in the sewers, the collar isn't visible anymore... So, is it possible that this mod conflicts somehow with BrutalRapers? Or I may have installed it the wrong way...(I don't think so, actually.)

Sorry, what I meant was, does the mod get rid of the companion during the term of slavery, or does the companion get enslaved also in a certain way? Or does the companion just follow you around and hang out, while you're like, "Why aren't you helping me?!", and cass would be like, "I'm not scripted to help you out or anything, brah. I just follow you around, while shit happens to you, lolz." Does having minions in this mod lead to irrational situations, or does the story make more sense if I leave the companion at home? Thanks!

Oh, like that. Uh, my robot just followed me the first time around. Helped me when I had to fight fiends and rats. But it didn't help me collect caps or anything. But this may have several reasons... See the Edit: inside two posts earlier... I suggest you just save your game, get enslaved with companion, and when you don't like it, just load your previously saved game. That's what I did. Dermot's fridge isn't in the sewers Oh... Ok.. Ah, I'll just play the game further and we'll see whether I'll get my equipment back. I found some great stuff inside the sewers anyway. But I'm still enslaved while roaming the wastelands...

In real-life, would you keep your clothes in a fridge? ;D (Joke.) Thank you I found it already, and all my equipment is there. "I think in Dermots fridge wherever he lives down there." I thought 'down there' meant 'down in the sewers'. And Dermot said my head would explode if I got out of the sewers... Was that just a bluff then? And could you explain what exactly I have to do as a slave? I got captured and then Dermot walked away. Never seen him in the sewers again, and on the surface he just says "Fuck off!" He is supposed to come collect Jet or caps right? He never did that yet.. And it seems I can do whatever I want, doesn't really feel like a slave..

I've never actually played the mod myself, to be honest (my character isn't dumb enough to give up her ammo) but it sounds like you're either not waiting long enough or something is bugged out. How much time did you spend waiting for him to come back?

O_o I wasn't even asked that... :/ After the black-out I was standing there naked, then Dermot came in and told me I had to swallow something of him. I could reply with 'Swallow!? Please don't...' or 'Anything you stick in my mouth, you won't be keeping.' My character would say 'Swallow!? Please don't...'. Then stuff happened. And I don't think he said something about waiting, so ofcourse I didn't wait... I walked straight after him into the sewers looking for people that could help me.. Did I need to wait in that small room then? ---- Got captured again, but now after sex, Dermot just walks away without saying anything... After waiting a while, someone else came and asked me if I could sell Jet and walked away. I accepted and wait again... Hopefully he and Dermot will come back to me.. :/ This time the collar is working. So if I leave sewers, the beeping starts. It's probably just that I have too many mods installed that all trying to do something at the same time, and that's why it gets bugged out sometimes... If nobody comes to me(in-game) this time, I will just go on with my main save again, and just accept the way it goes for me.

[/quote'] I know for sure now that different mods fight eachother. :/ Got captured again (on purpose by just adjusting MCM settings) and this time Dermot came walking in and suddenly Sexout Hookups mod dialog appeared! I rejected, and Dermot instantly walked away. So I were stuck this time. :/ Somebody should take the task to try to add "priority" to all the different mods! Like make the mods check if any other mod is running and active, and if one mod is active, shut down the other mods till the one mod is done. If it is possible ofcourse. hmm....where is my previous item? before i became a sewer slave. I can`t find anywhere. It's out into the open world, inside a building called Casa Madrid(not on the map), inside Dermot's room, inside his fridge. So it's not inside the sewers.

You shouldn't be surprised when it does what it's designed to do. If you don't want them to happen, for whatever reason, deactivate the mod. Somebody should take the task to try to add "priority" to all the different mods! Thanks for volunteering! I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
