[mod] CoCo's Stellaris Mod

Recommended Posts

So, yeah, instead of doing what I'm *supposed* to be doing (i.e. working on Skyrim mods), I got Stellaris for Christmas and am spending most of my free time playing with that.

Here are a couple of things I did for Stellaris.

Mostly just crappy flag graphics and stuff. A couple of name lists. Nothing fancy. Baby's first mod, see. And I think I messed up the name lists a bit anyway.

But here it is, just in case anyone's interested.

Putting it under CK2 because apparently there isn't a Stellaris section. I'll see if I can tag it properly.

p.s. There are actually more flag graphics than I show in the screenshots, but I didn't bother taking any screenshots of them. They're really not very good anyway. I am *not* an artist.

Just a suggestion - Skyrim Heretical devices iron butt plug flag. (For those 40k Chaos style races)

(ps Be careful of Stellaris updates - they are as bad as Skyrim SE ones for screwing you over if you have mods - especially if, as above says, you are in a month long game).

Do you have a link?

A mod like this one - just flags and name lists - should be fine. I can't imagine any reason for Paradox to screw with that stuff (though I would like a little more control over name lists).

2) But mods!, you need mods in Stellaris , because Mods! ? (Your game though. Play it how you like. Just saying though........ MOD'ssssss)

This mod is great.  The name list with all the porn/rapey names is super cool.  Do you plan to make more kinky/sexy name lists?  I'm actively using this mod for one of my naked space elf empires and it's working great!  Free love and sex for the galaxy, onward!

I would, but my imagination's broke. ;)

Umm, did you upload the correct file to LoversLab?? It seems to still be the 1.0 version, the Archive I downloaded after the update is lacking the new icons and backgrounds......

Edit: Checked the file size of both the old archive I had and the newly downloaded archive, same exact size.....

That's weird. Version 2 seems to have disappeared. I'll re-upload it now. Hopefully it'll stick around this time. ;)

EDIT: It's also entirely possible that I made a mistake the first time around, though I could have sworn I uploaded it properly. Ah well, seems to be there now. :)

the federation expention break the mod, an update?

I have no idea why it would be breaking the mod. The only thing I can think to update is the version number, and all that would do is get rid of the note on the launcher saying it's incompatible. Other than that, it should work fine I believe... have you tried it with federations yet?

The mod was active in the lancher but didn't appear in game(no list name or flag).

Ok, problem solved, i just needed to delete the "mods_registry.json" of stellaris and the mod worked.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

why does this mod not appear in my launcher or in game?

Some mods wohnt be shown when you place it in the mod folder.
So you gotta go into the launcher.
Click 'mods'

Then Mod tools and 'create mod'

Then name the mod 'fx. Coco's icons' give it a version number and pref name the directory the same as the mod name (mod/Coco's icons)

Give it a tag and click create. You can just close down the next window. it only matters if you've created your own mod and if you'd liek to post it for Paradox and/or steam

EDIT
I forgot to mention that you just gotta drag and drop all the files from the mod, into the new folder.

Except the descriptor (i actually dont know if that matters. but i havnt replaced the new one for the one the files had)

I did do all that. my issue is that its not present or registering in my launcher, don't know why. its like it not even really there. . . .spooky, this is like some worm in waiting shit :D

I have had a lot of trouble getting Stellaris mods to show up and work properly. Made worse by the recent launcher changes. I swear it takes me like ten minutes every time I want to add or remove a mod just to figure out how to edit the playlist stuff, change the .mod file to work, etc. It's a bit of a pain.

I should have gone with Steam instead of GoG. Much easier working with the steam workshop apparently.

I am using this on 3.02, the GOG Linux version.  No issues noted thus far.

I am using the Irony Mod Manager, which seems to help a lot.  Just unzip the original archive into the mod directory, activate and launch the game through Irony.
