What was in this latest update? The page says files updated yesterday, but downloads for poses is monday

Posted (edited)

Edit nvm got it working with the hotkey mod. Apparently was missing mfg fix.

I wonder if it saves all my favorites after starting a new game.

I'm afraid of ending up making the page very messy and difficult to load, but I can do it. With luck I'll post this tomorrow

If you saw it in a gif here then I think it's already a pose, if you have a video or photo I can do something new I think.

The crossbow anim looks to good, I am tempted to put down the bow, but your bow animations are elegant on top of sexy!

His bow animations are top-notch. Unfortunately there's still a bug with footsteps when standing still, easily noticeable with loud footsteps such as high heels sound.

Btw, where's the download link for crossbow anims?

Really?

Hmm, I made a small change to the bow animation.

Download is ready now.

Sorry if this was asked before, but how do I install the movement animations?

I think it's just installing DAR and FNIS. The files from here you can manually extract in the DATA folder of the game. And you need to update the FNIS after extracting too.

And remember to download the correct version of all files: LE or SE.

Idle is fixed now but I just noticed that turnleft/turnright animations (bow not drawn) have multiple footsteps as well. :(

To anyone trying to make crossbow animations to work with DAR you need to create a subfolder named "dlc01", for example:

meshes\actors\character\animations\DynamicAnimationReplacer\_CustomConditions\5556\dlc01\

I can't get the crossbow animations to work. I've tried installing them normally and running FNIS and they don't work. I've also tried installing them through PCEA2, but only the idle animations work, while the movement doesn't. I checked my FNIS PCEA2 output folder and the only ones being registered are the idle held/drawn/equip animations. Also can't get them working through DAR using the above folder structure. Any ideas?

Edit: Just checked the PCEA2_Overview.txt and most of the crossbow animations are under the "Animations not supported by FNIS Alternate Animations" section.

Edit 2: It works in meshes\actors\character\animations\DynamicAnimationReplacer\Skyrim.esm\00000007\dlc01\ (animation files). I was just messing up the subfolders.

Cool, just tested and idleheld/turnleft/turnright are fixed indeed. I think there's still footstep issue with bow equip/unequip...

I will better leave this topic for now. ?

nah nah nah, you can keep sending it, as long as it's something I can fix, I'll fix it.

This is a really nice animation pack! The quality of the movement is really good.

One thing i noticed: when an NPC poses, the headtracking is still enabled in the FNIS files and since the character headtracking also bends the spine, the alignment of the upper body gets lost some times. One could either not use headtracking option in the FNIS file at all (-h option) or use the headtracking where the spine is fixed and does not move. Display Model 3 uses that quite effectively and from just looking at the files, it seemes to be an option in the FNIS_XXX_List.txt. See here: darkconsole / dse-display-model on GitHup (courtesy to darkconsole, who figured it out back when)

Edit: well, I just tested it: turns out my idea wasn't that great after all. Now the whole dam furniture is moving with them.

Interesting mod, but after there could be problems adding all these animations

that is not a problem of this mod but of the user :P

also this exists:

I'm not a gamer, but I played some games over the years, and I find Skyrim the most problematic, I played other games heavily modded much more than Skyrim, and I  never had problems, in my opinion Skyrim is too much instable game and quite refractory to all mods.

its definatly more work to get skyrim modded running than other games, but I honestly never saw ANY other modable game with such a potential.

My current skyrim mod setting easily beats EVERY tripple A wanna be RPG and whatnot game out there, including elden ring etc.

also you can use this to increase stability. and rolling back modload a bit and save regularly is usually a good way to make it stable.

my current savegame went through EVERY abuse possible (installing, adding mods midplay, etc.) and still works surprisingly well after a year of abuse.

It's not letting me upload pictures or videos, but I have a few ideas Gunslicer. An animation of doing the splits and then maybe another maintaining the pose? Also, perhaps an animation of applying lotion or sunscreen. And maybe a cute sleeping pose or animation.

Thanks for link, I'll take a look. Actually my probklem with Skyrim is not so much a question of crashes, I can play for hours without crashing, but starting the game, where I often have to try some times by loading different savegame to get the game to start.

then the link might help quite a bit.
I still crash the game like 30% - 50% on starting (this is just normal at some point it seems, especially on LE), but never on loading a save.
Animation Load CAN be causing this, I currently have 150% of the animations that FNIS is "suggesting" (it tells you the odds of crashing when you run it) but MRSTs fix allows to load it anyway.

I m super happy with it, since restarting the game on startup is not a timegrind (on an SSD at least :D)

Hey Gunslicer,

This might be an odd request content-wise for you but I have a couple mods that use DAR for drunk walking animations but the available animations are, let's just say, very much over the top. Hardly anybody stumbles around like a rubber legged giraffe on the moon after one ale.

Any chance you would be willing to make a drunk walk animation or two?

Maybe this is a decent example, apart from walking into the pole, etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxImjrl7l_U

Sinitar Gaming has a great guide on skyrim LE and SE modding which also covers most of the fixes for the game.

You will have much more stable game in both Skyrim LE and SE. The guide covers most of modding catagories however you can only read the stability guide if you want.

It is the best guide I have seen to base your skyrim on. You should read carefully all the instructions for the best result though.
