Though I'm tempted to leave it on, as I don't really see the big deal about a 5-second load for it to do a browser check once a week.

There's no problem if people know what's going on. But guys like me, who are fairly stupid when it comes to stuff like that, tend to overreactions when something unusual like this occurs.

Which is why I'm happy about your explanation. :)

I just started getting this message each time before I log on to LL.  Just started happening. Anyone else, or is there just something on my PC going on?

I can't find it now but this WAS a thread in the Community section. I believe it was started by Kenko. According to Ashal, this is a response to continued hacker attacks. You can expect it to remain in place for the foreseeable future.

Annoying, regrettable, ... but probably not to be avoided.

.. ? unless fate strikes back on the offenders with a nasty itchy STD including ugly red-yellow blisters .

Edit:

This was the other thread

I suggest this one could be merged into the other one?

We had some attacks DDoS in the last days. In some cases the site was down.

Ashal did some tricks.

The checking your browser (you have the same message when going to www.creationkit.com) is a way to avoid DDoS provided by CloudFlare.

It is normal. Annoying but normal.

I'll light a candle at the shrine of Talos for Ashal!
