Wet Function and save loading problem

Hi, forgive me in advance for my poor formatting.

I've installed Wet Function Redux 39 with all it's requirements:
PapyrusUtil 3.2
SKSE 1.7.3
SkyUI 5.0+
RaceMenu
CBBE textures

Sweaty Wet Skin Auto Adjustment (Overwritten by redux)
 

It works when I start a new game but when I load a save game it doesn't show the effect (even when it says it is, (in the mcm))

I'm using MO and have tried to stop/start the effect multiple times no luck.

Is it something obvious?

Any help would be awesome, thanks.

If I understand your question correctly what you are suffering from is a simple misunderstanding. When you save a game you save a lot of "stuff" including settings. As a result, in order to get the proper effect from a mod (and to prevent technical problems like CTDs) you MUST START A NEW GAME when you change your load order. It is not a surprise then that the new mod doesn't work with the old saves. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I haven't changed my load order. Let me explain a bit further. I start a new game wet effect is there. When I save that new game and load it, the effect is gone. (Haven't changed my load order)

Have you tried looking at the mod's support thread? Have you posted this question there?

Unfortunately I've already looked and posted in the mod thread with no response.

Maybe it's MO or I should use vortex.

Any help would be appreciated.

wet function redux works a bit odd at first

Or you could take my approach to modding Skyrim. Any mod which comes with that much baggage doesn't get anywhere near my game.

Hey,

just an update:

I reinstalled everything and used vortex as my mod manager instead of MO.

Everything seems to work now including reloading and effect staying.

I'm not sure what exactly caused it but it seems to work now.
