All my Mods are gone

A Month ago i uninstalled Skyrim, but recently when i installed it again, all my Mods were gone. I would like to know if i can somehow "get them back". I think it might be important to tell you that i defragged my Computer recently too, but Skyrim was already uninstalled when i did that.

Or, to put it another way, by the time you figure out how to "get them back" from your trash bin you could already have reloaded everything. And, if you are truly starting over from scratch again, let me recommend Donttouchmethere's blog "Conglomerate." It will help you remember all the pieces you need for a stable Skyrim game. If you uninstalled only with steam then the only thing removed was the files installed by steam, any mods you had from another source are still there.  If you used a mod manager to add those mods before just load it up and run and your mods should still be listed and may only need to have the load order setup again.

thats the weird thing, i just uninstalled it with steam. i have the slight feeling that defragging my computer maybe deleted them

i checked the bin by date so the newest removed stuff is showed first and the mods dont show up. just stuff i deleted on my own. maybe the mods didnt get deleted but just moved?

That is not what defragging does. Not even remotely.

 

Defragmenting is simply meant to better optimize the physical location of all the bits of data on your hard drive, and should never affect a user or program's access to a file.

Have you installt the Mods with Nexus Mod Manager there is a Data Folder where a copy off the zip Files .

for me it is F:\Games\Nexus Mod Manager\Skyrim\Mods .

1. open Nexus Mod Manger  now you see the old Instalation

2. Check the game path under menu settings in Nexus Mod Manager

3.Reinstall the Mods step by step

 ( Click on zip file an then on reinstall )

 Have you delete your old nexus folder  , sorry  you must search and  download the Mods again

and make a complete new install with NMM .

Don`t forget finis and loot !
