AzraelSteel Posted January 2, 2019 Author Posted January 2, 2019 210 plugins. I can get a papyrus log, but I hadn't had it on before, so I have to play again, and like I mentioned, it's REALLY inconsistent when it crashes, so I need to commit a chunk of time to doing that. Ran Performance Monitor as well, to track VRAM usage. Never really got above about 2.9 MB (of 4 MB).

We'll assume you have them configured correctly. 2. How old is the save? Something must have changed somewhere. 3. Don't think this is required, if it ever was. It's a "utility for users who patch Skyrim according to Skyrim Memory Patch" but Sheson's SMP is part of SKSE and has been for some time. How long has Rigmor been on there? There are conflicting reports about these Rigmor mods.
Grey Cloud Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 4 minutes ago, AzraelSteel said: Never really got above about 2.9 MB (of 4 MB). What about in a fight with magic effects going off and people running around? Whether or not it crashed would be down to all sorts of variables. How long has the game been running; how many actors in the fight; how much magic and which spells; etc. I'm not saying any of this is this cause just that it's not a simple black and white issue.
AzraelSteel Posted January 2, 2019 Author Posted January 2, 2019 Rigmor's been installed since about December 14, but I haven't gone anywhere near it. I could try uninstalling that if you think it'd possibly help. 2 minutes ago, Grey Cloud said: What about in a fight with magic effects going off and people running around? As in, in a continuous tracking of VRAM usage overall, that was the peak usage during a fight in which the game crashed.

Psalam Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Let me tell you one of my favorite jokes. A fellow was surprised to find that one of his friends had come to visit on a weekday. When he opened the door to let him in the visitor began searching the fellow's house clearly looking for something. After watching him a few minutes the fellow asked, "what are you looking for?" "My keys," responded the friend. After several more minutes of fruitless searching the homeowner said, "we're making no progress. Where did you last have them?" The friend replied, "in my bedroom." "Then why are we looking for them here in my front room?" To which the answer was, "because the light's better." Let me know when you have a papyrus log.
GenioMaestro Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 The payrus.log can NOT help with CTD problems because is a BUFFERED file and the last lines of the log are NEVER writen when the game crash. Normally, random CTD are caused by memory problems but you say have the stabilizers. As Grey Cloud say, we presume you have it correctly installed but your memory block log say that you have your SKSE.ini bad configure or you put it in the incorrect folder. A good memory block log, like mine, must say this: Spoiler logging of blocks enabled logging max values only Timer disabled Block1 Block2 768MB 256MB 85 8 85 8 85 9 85 10 85 11 85 12 85 13 85 14 85 15 85 16 85 17 85 18 85 19 85 20 85 21 85 22 85 23 85 24 85 25 85 26 85 27 85 28 85 29 85 30 85 31 85 32 85 33 85 34 85 35 85 36 85 37 85 38 85 39 85 40 85 41 85 42 85 43 85 44 85 45 85 46 85 47 85 48 85 49 85 50 85 51 85 52 85 53 85 54 85 55 85 56 85 57 85 58 85 59 85 60 85 61 85 62 85 63 85 64 85 65 85 66 85 67 85 68 85 69 85 70 85 71 85 72 85 73 85 74 85 75 85 76 85 77 85 78 85 79 85 80 85 81 85 82 85 83 85 84 85 85 85 86 85 87 85 88 85 89 85 90 85 91 85 92 85 93 85 94 85 95 85 96 85 97 85 98 85 99 85 100 85 101 85 102 85 103 85 104 85 105 85 106 85 107 85 108 85 109 85 110 85 111 85 112 85 113 85 114 85 115 85 116 85 117 85 118 85 119 85 120 85 121 85 122 85 123 85 124 85 125 85 126 85 127 85 128 85 129 85 130 85 131 85 132 85 133 85 134 85 135 85 136 85 137 85 138 85 139 85 140 85 141 85 142 85 143 85 144 85 145 85 146 85 147 85 148 85 149 85 150 85 151 85 152 85 153 85 154 85 155 85 156 85 157 85 158 85 159 85 160 85 161 85 162 85 163 85 164 85 165 85 166 85 167 85 168 85 169 85 170 87 170 173 170 173 171 173 172 173 173 173 174 173 175 173 176 173 177 173 178 173 179 173 180 173 181 173 182 173 183 173 184 173 185 173 186 173 187 173 188 173 189 173 190 189 190 275 190 275 191 275 192 275 193 275 194 275 195 275 196 275 197 275 198 275 199 275 200 275 201 275 202 Verify that you have the SKSE Memory Patch installed and look it 3 times. Grey Cloud Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 35 minutes ago, AzraelSteel said: It's Dames of Skyrim Series 3, which I guess is so old he's deleted it and replaced it with a complete version. Ah, that explains it. I used to use the UUNP version. I use the complete version now and it has three esps which was what was confusing me. To get back to your problem. You didn't answer the question of how old the save game is. Have you tried starting a new game?
AzraelSteel Posted January 2, 2019 Author Posted January 2, 2019 The save is only about 2 weeks old. I got a papyrus log. I don't think I should post it in spoilers, in that it is 5 MB. It took 16 minutes this time for it to crash. UseOSAllocators is set to 1 in crash fixes already. I have a skse.ini, which looked like what you have posted, sans the debug line. I have added that for testing. I also need to look into the memory log, as the one I posted was actually of a like 10 second test before a crash. I just looked at the log for the 16 minute session I mentioned above, and it still is very empty. But I've been working on this non-stop for 7 hours, so it'll have to happen later. I do appreciate all the help you are trying to provide, though.
GenioMaestro Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 19 minutes ago, AzraelSteel said: UseOSAllocators is set to 1 in crash fixes already. A papyrus log can not help with CTD problems. If you have SKSE memory patch and Crash fixes 12 and you are ussing ENB can not be a memory problem. Must be a strange problem caused by mods. And the only sure way that i know for locate it is disable mod's until the CTD disappear. 19 minutes ago, AzraelSteel said: The save is only about 2 weeks old. You can try starting a NEW GAME. AzraelSteel Posted January 2, 2019 Author Posted January 2, 2019 Just now, GenioMaestro said: You can try starting a NEW GAME. Some times the savegame go corrupt and store bad things and cause stupid problems lik that. If you NOT have the problem in a New Game is an evident problem in the savegame. If you have the problem in a New Game can be a mod problem. I've kind of started to feel that might be the problem. I started to try turning off all but a few mods and it still crashed in combat. It also didn't start immediately on the mods I have installed, but more about a week in. Shame, though, because I had to start over again two weeks ago (thus the new save) and it is really tedious starting a new game again that often. I had actually trimmed my mod order quite a lot to make my game more stable and it had worked for like 2 or three months, until the original rigmor borked my old save. I uninstalled that and started anew. I guess time to go do that again. I'll be back if it still crashes with a new save, I guess. Thank you again for all the help.
Psalam Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 While I do not often find myself in disagreement with GenioMaestro (who I freely admit know more than I do about this stuff) let me say that if you have a papyrus log and are willing to post it I'm willing to look at it. It will take a great deal less time than GM's approach. If it shows nothing, which he assumes it will, then I will say so and you can take his approach and nothing is lost. If you are afraid of the size of the papyrus log let me suggest the following. If you look at the log (even if you recognize nothing else in there) there are time stamps throughout. Start at then end, find the last time stamp and then go up the log until you have the last (roughly) five minutes. Cut that and paste it into a spoiler.
Grey Cloud Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Okay, I'll agree with both Genio and Psalam. Removing mods will help but the Papyrus log might point to a mod or mods to remove first. And on that front I would point the finger at the Rigmor mods. There is a thread in the General Discussion section where some people are saying that the Rigmor mods interfere with other stuff. Other than that I would look at any mods which are involved in the combats - weapons, spells, etc. Basically, try to get a fight down to using just vanilla assets.
AzraelSteel Posted January 2, 2019 Author Posted January 2, 2019 So I went through like you asked to get the last five minutes (of the 15 minute session to copy here... it's 2/3 of the papyrus log for some reason. Also, it's all just kind of the same stuff over and over again, so I'll post a sample, and you can make of it what you can. It seems to be something to do with XPMSE, I think? Maybe Vigor... Also before THIS crash log, I had removed Rigmor already. So if that was the problem, it has ruined the save. Though as I mentioned before, since the save crashed with only like 5 essential mods installed, it is probably ruined either way.

It is made to compliment and work with the three major combat overhauls: Duel - Combat Realism, Deadly Combat, and Ultimate Combat. This mod makes combat more dangerous and unforgiving. Combat Evolved changes nearly every aspect of combat". 1. I don't see any of the 3 named mods in your load. (3 major combat overhauls which I have never heard of). 2. The last sentence set my alarm bells ringing. It is possible to untick the XPMSE esp in your mod manager and still have the skeleton but it gets rid of the weapon animations. Also, you don't need Realistic Ragdolls as the skellie does the ragdolling these days. Just a bit of lateral finkin on my part but how many actors are in these fights and are we talking vs humans; vs creatures or anything hostile?
AzraelSteel Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 It really happens at random - once, against a single wolf, once against a dragon, once against bandits, last time against an ice wraith. So... 1-6? As for combat evolved, I've been using it along with Vigor, which has the same kind of design sensibility as Duel but is much more recent. Haven't had problems with it for the several months I've been using both together, though. Might just drop it if I have to restart, though.. I have Realistic Ragdolls because I was having a XPMSE problem a while back and the mod author wouldn't even talk to anyone who didn't have it in their load order.
GenioMaestro Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 1 hour ago, AzraelSteel said: So I went through like you asked to get the last five minutes (of the 15 minute session to copy here... it's 2/3 of the papyrus log for some reason. Also, it's all just kind of the same stuff over and over again, so I'll post a sample, and you can make of it what you can. It seems to be something to do with XPMSE, I think? Maybe Vigor... Lots of weapons listed, either way. You have a stack dump and normally are caused by a bad configuration in Skyrim.ini in the [Papyrus] section. Your Skyrim.ini must look like: Spoiler [Papyrus] fUpdateBudgetMS=1.6 fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=1.6 fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=1000.0 bEnableLogging=0 bEnableTrace=0 bLoadDebugInformation=0 iMaxMemoryPageSize=8192 iMinMemoryPageSize=256 iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=153600 Aditionally, XPMSEWeaponStyleScaleEffect give some problem to some players. I suffer it time ago and is not easy to solve. First be sure you have the last version of XPMSE, reinstall it and be sure none mod overwrite it. If you have MO put XPMSE very low in the mod list giving it maximun priority. Next, open the game, open the MCM and go to the mcm of XPMSE. Have one option for disable the cloak speel used by XPMSEWeaponStyleScaleEffect. Try disable it. The las option is re-install XPMSE but whitout the style effects. But the problem with XPMSEWeaponStyleScaleEffect and the stack dump can NOT cause the CTD. The stack dump is a protection of the game for auto restart itself and NEVER cause CTD. If your CTD appear in a NEW GAME is a mod problem and must be caused by one of the combat mod. Can be a skeleton problem and can be solved reinstalling the last version of XPMSE. But can be a collision with another mod or a problem in a compatibility patch for make work it with others mods. Sorry, but from my point of view, the only REAL way for locate it is disable mod's until locate the problem. The papyrus log say near none about the CTD. The plugin list only can give some clues. The mod list can give more info because have the patch installed and sometimes say the version. Probably is a problem in the version of one of the compatiblity patchs.
AzraelSteel Posted January 6, 2019 Author Posted January 6, 2019 Just a final followup for this - restarted with most of the same mods (save was still crashing with this setup) and a new save ran through two full dungeons and 2 hours of playtime without a problem. So it looks like it was just the save was messed up. Unfortunate, but I can be successful moving forward I guess.
