(steps 5,6,7,8 on mnc page) another thing to check is to see if another mod is changing his race's editorid name, it's highly unlikely but it would stop animations from working. i got the animations to play! but they dont correspond to the dialogue choices. ill check the console later

Did that. I looked through some settings and it looks like im missing some animations. the only dragon animations i have are tongue and holding. those work properly now, but any other dialogue plays one of those two Edited September 12 by fulladicks96

I somehow forgot to install slal. i installed it and ran it and it fixed everything. thank you for your help. i feel so dumb p_p
