DS Catarina Set HDT by DKnight13

DS Catarina Set.zip Adds the Catarina set from Dark Souls. The set comes with the Catarina Helmet, Armor, Gauntlets, Leggings, Pierce Shield, and Zweihander. The armour has HDT physics applied to the skirt. The armour set can be crafted at any forge under the "Ebony" smithing perk and can be tempered at any work bench. Zweihander can be crafted at any forge and sharpened at any grind stone. Pierce Shield comes with bash bleed effect.

Thanks. I already edited the texture to support transparency on the chainmail skirt. Simply overwrite the default texture with this one, and add NiAlphaProperty (right-click NiTriShape > Node > Attach Property > NiAlphaProperty) to each mesh branch that contains the skirt (the "armor body" ones) and set it to flag 4845, threshold 128. I'm not satisfied with how the transparency looks so far, so I'm still making some adjustments to both the texture and the mesh. 

I will edit the weighting and whatnot later.

 

I'm glad to see that this mesh has significantly fewer problems than your first two ports; namely the shader flags are correct this time and there doesn't seem to be any major gaps caused by missing weights. Keep up the good work.

Fiddled around with it in Outfit Studio for a few hours and I'm about to test and see how well I did ingame. 

List of things I did:

-Redid weighting to hopefully animate better

-Separated the pants from the boots. Pants are now part of the torso armor and boots function like boots in the vanilla game.

-Adjusted the position and shape of mesh parts to better fit the vanilla male body so that individual pieces can be equipped without clipping.

-Added a "skin" to the wrists and calves, so that when gauntlets and boots are unequipped there are no invisible limbs.

-Removed duplicate mesh parts.

 

Some stuff I plan to do next:

-Make the pants less glossy

-Attempt a 0 weight to go with the 1 weight

-Attempt a version that fits the female body mesh

 

I'll keep you updated with this as well as my edits to your other two armors, which I'm still working on.

Found a solution to the glossy pants. Hopefully this info will help you out for future ports of leather/cloth things that aren't supposed to be shiny.

 

Under BSLightingShaderProperty:

1. Set Specular Strength to 0.3

2. Set Glossiness to 10

3. Set Shader Type to Default (from Environment Map)

4. Remove "Environment Mapping" from Shader Flags 1

5. Add "Soft Lighting" to Shader Flags 2

6. Set Specular Color to something that closer matches the base color (I did a grey-brown color) rather than white

 

Under BSShaderTextureSet:

1. Delete the environment mask and cubemap textures (rows 5 and 6).

 

The shape should now be much more matte and not shiny.

@Siegmeyer Knight of Catarina Thank you so mouch for all this! You truly have been a "divine blessing" (Dark Souls reference, not being religious). I'm excited to see the final result of the Catarina set! And thank you for the lessons on fixing up the leather parts of the armors! I'll be sure to incorporate this in my other armors soon. Thanks again!

@Necromencer92 you have to run both the old and the new version of customizable ui replacer together and fill both the requirements for both the old and new version. Run the new version first for the souls quick menu and the money widget. then run the old version for the health bar growth, following all requirements for the health bar growth. DO NOT overwrite the souls quick menu and widget, just for the health bars only when running the old customizable ui replacer.

It should look something like this on the Nexus, assuming you use nexus. And then a similar pop-up screen, on the second image, should appear and choose the option "No". This should all be compatible for both the old and new versions assuming you followed ALL the the requirements in both videos:

Thanks a lot @Outlawer ! I apologise for the late response.

The reason I use those meshes from DS1 is because I extracted them from Gary's Mod and I my self don't know how to extract the models from Dark Souls or DS3.  

I absolutely love your Kardia Armor you posted and was wondering when the Black Knight Valkyrie set will be finished?
