Apexfox Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 My Skyrim will just close, its not a crash, there isn't any Windows error. I'v lowered the graphics and even removed mods that are script heavy and it keeps closing. I know there is a fix for this but cant find it and need help. If there is already a post for this then post the link so i can read it and fix it. Thank You.

The only thing I can suggest doing (which is what works for me) is to sort your load order with LOOT (Load Order Optimization Tool). It fixes most CTDs you can find loot here

It closes i will be walking and then skyrim just closes. it happens every 5 minutes . and yes it has i even already found a fix for this but cant remember where it is. it has something to do with windows 10 or something. before i was able to play hours before it closed. and let me install loot.

I think we're suffering from "a failure to communicate." When I refer to CTD (crash to desktop) I mean that at some point after starting Skyrim (during the load, during the game, etc.) the game stops and I wind up seeing my desktop (therefore, crash to DESKTOP). This does not require any messages from Skyrim or warning from Windows (such as Exception this or that). It only requires the Skyrim game to stop with the next thing that you see is your desktop. Given THAT definition, are you experiencing a CTD (crash to desktop or simply, crash)? If so, then you have already received a considerable amount of good advice. Simply follow what Grey Cloud and Donttouchmethere have told you (and are likely to add to in the future) and you will work past it. I agree (for what it's worth) that running LOOT and posting you load order from LOOT are good ideas. While in LOOT you will see an icon that looks like three vertical dots or buttons in the upper right hand corner on the blue bar. When you press on it you will receive the option to copy your load order. Please do so and paste it here in a spoiler. If you are not having a CTD as I described it above could you please describe in what way your experience is different so that we are all prepared to look at your problem differently.

Without a papyrus log I can not be certain but I think, based on your "potato" comment, that you already know what I'm going to say. I suspect that you have just overtaxed your game/machine. I would encourage you to figure out which of the many heavily scripted mods you have that you can do without. With a little luck Grey Cloud will come back on here. He has more experience with mods than I do and can probably make many useful and specific suggestions in that regard.

(At least as I understand it) I don't know when or if this has been updated but it was as buggy as hell when I used it a couple of years back. 43 2b SexLab Beastess.esp Plus you also have Untamed installed. I've used this for a couple of years and never had any problems. Processor- AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 B22 Processor 2.80 GHz Installed RAM- 8.00 GB (7.50 GB Usable) System type- 64 bit operating Graphics card- ATI Radeon HD 4200 I like HDT so and my characters main play style is a wolf girl so kinda a top mod in my game. I removed dD - Realistic Ragdoll Force After realizing i don't need it. All in one HDT animated pussy uses it. I like beastes better then untamed so i will remove it and yes its been updated last year i think it was. Ah didn't know beast ess was a unfinished and abounded, ok I will remove it So I don't need the original estrus mod? I'm using CBBE didn't know I had a UUNP mod still activated. Almost 9013 animations, yeah its alot but I never crash during animations. Yeah i noticed I have to many SOS so i only need one human and All of bad dogs, so i will reinstall that. I will remove the bounties mods, but SIC and IP II make the sexlab mods a little more fun. The enb boost is only for ENB users right? if mot then cool i will install it. Last note, I noticed My flame spells, webs, and Becon lights(the standing stones). Are all missing. ~Thanks for the Help.

As a rule of thumb, even a potato (to use your term) should be able to handle 10k animations IF the rest of the mods are not too resource (meaning script) heavy. When animations break in game it is rarely the fault of the animation or the total number of animations. It is usually the failure of the person using the mods to get all necessary requirements for the mod and especially the skeleton. And, while I'm on a rant about animations, FNIS does NOT tell you how many animations your game can run safely. It DOES tell you how many animations that FNIS can run without difficulty. The "classic" problem that comes to someone who tries to run too many animations is that their games CTD while loading. Not their animations foul up. Not FNIS warns them. They CTD. I bring this up because 1) what Grey Cloud will tell you may sound like it has nothing to do with your issue at hand. As you can see, experience shows that the issue is often elsewhere than it appears. 2) This whole animation thing gets under my skin sometimes and I just need to vent once in a while. ?

No, ENBoost is the memory management part and everyone benefits from having it. I was just curious about the animation numbers. The number is always worth keeping an eye on but you seldom get a CTD during an animation, its usually when trying to load the game. 10k should be alright but I wouldn't go much above that because as Psalam said, factors other than the number of aniamtions are involved.
