Weird Slavetats visual glitch

So, I'm playing Oldrim and have Slavetats installed. For a good while I had zero issues, but in the last couple of days it kinda got bugged. At first I thought it's a conflict with Wetfunction Redux, but after some testing I'm fairly certain that's not the case. So, what happens is that when I start up the game and load in the save, some of my tattoos are not visible. As I zoom in, they start to become visible, but with parts of them missing. (You know, kinda like when your printer is on its last legs and leaves "stripes" in the print.) Not all of the tattoos though, the ones on the chest and the back are just fine. The ones on the limbs and in the crotch area are not. Removing then reapplying the tats sometimes get them fixed, but usually not. Loading into a new are, loading back the game, etc. doesn't help. The most mindboggling thing to me is what actually fixes them: if I Alt+Tab out of the game then back, the tattoos are perfectly visible with no issues and stay as such from there on out, until I close down the game. I haven't foggiest idea what could even cause something like that. It's easy to fix, but... I'm kinda curious what could be the reason...

But does it happen in a NEW game? It sounds most like a corrupt save. You can try ReSaver (part of Fallrim Tools on Nexus) but my personal experience is that it is unusual to be able to really fix a save once it's corrupted.

That can be a problem with the MipMaps of the tat's.

If you know how, open the dds files of the tats and verify that have mipmaps. If not, generate it and test again.

Or upload the problematic tat's for we verify it.

Some times, the game autogenerate the faulting mipmaps, like when you make alt-tab, and look good for some time but normally happend again and are visibles only when you put the camera too near. When you move far you can view some triangles in the textures. Is a clear indication of faulting mipmaps.

Often it is a mesh / nif problem.
Even if the normals of the mesh are properly aligned and the faces on the right side, it can happen.
The reason is the skin - each vertex one can only max. 4 Bones (actually 6) cope.
If there are more (depending on the weight) texture errors (normals and faces) occur. Far away - missing textures (like a shadow or stripes), close up it's okay again.
This effect is often seen left and right of the coccyx (slightly higher).
Here are spine, spine 1, spine 2, pelvis and often additionally thigh and butt additionally available. The engine calculates out the least weighted bones, which leads to display problems at a certain distance.
The skeleton itself (whichever one is) is not really optimized.

However, since you have found a partial solution with ALT-TAB, the idea of GenioMaestro should also be considered.
Any texture (except speculars) should have a mipmap. If this is not available, the game generates one. This may even be an advantage (in really rare cases), but as a rule the presence of Mipmaps is recommended.

Just for illustration, this is how problematic tattoos "pop in" as as I zoom in before I Alt-Tab out:

And this is how it looks normally, after the Alt-Tab:

Uploaded the two I've been having problems regularly. No idea how to open dds files or what even mipmaps are.

@Andy14: I'm sorry, but about 90% of what you've just wrote in there flew right over my head. I know absolutely nothing of texture making, photo editing, modeling and the like, so yeah...
