if something is out dated check the log files in doument and settings that will give a clear indication witch mod is not working due to newer f4SE also some will also give you a warning before the game starts that it be turned off due to f4se has wrong version and it does not work on newer f4SE or game version changes.

Yes and no. While yes, because Bethesda has their Fallout 76 toy they are going to be playing with, there are Mod authors apart of CC that will be forcing the new update for Fallout 4. At this point, the updates are useless except for CC content. If you look at the Zetan update, it's very much proof of that. (Unless someone can provide the patch notes I can't seem to find.) Not only that, the new Zetan weapons have to be bought through CC before you can get them. It's like some kind of back water Microsoft espionage marketing. (Just a joke.) Point is, yes, there will be less updates in the since of focus shift. No because CC still exists and the modders for it still produce mods for Fallout 4. That's where the updates will be coming from.

Just my opinion though.

This post does make sense, look at it from the game maker perspective they are not making enough with fallout 76 so they try to milk their old game to cover the expenses they made from their flop fallout 76. You would think since fallout 76 is so unstable they still find the current time to make an update for fallout 4 even though fixing 76 should have full priority till its fixed.

Getting back to the original issue on this thread.... there seems to be less patching for FO4. However, when that happens, the process is:

  1. Using F4SE enalbe mods?
    1. No - proceed to 4
    2. Yes - steps 2
  2. Wait for F4SE to be updated
  3. Wait for all your F4SE mods to be updated
  4. Enjoy your updated FO4 game
  5. Post your angst about updates on Reddit, not here.... because everyone here does't want to hear your BS about the update...  :)

Optionally, in step 2 - if you understand that the developer will occasionally update the game and the modded content will take time to respond to that... you will rollback to the previous fallout4.exe file you saved (or rollback in Steam) because YOU are an awesome mod user and know these things will happen periodically... if you did not do this, then see step #5 - because we don't want to hear you BS complaints. EVERY.TIME.THERE.IS.AN.UPDATE.

/sarcasmoff?
