@SolomonSTB1973 - Renaming the folders would require modifying the INI files every update which would be too risky/error prone likely. I'd suggest trying out Mod Manager if you need help managing which mod is in which slot as it'll show what mod packs are installed in each slot.

Anyhow, I've uploaded version v2.2.2. It adds official support for Elise and custom page-specific menu overlays.

Be sure to use this file if you use CCModPackGenerator to specify custom skin files for Elise.

CCModPackGenerator.exe.config 2.85 kB · 9 downloads

Below is a potential template for specifying page-specific menu overlays. Its just a INI mod (can be installed anywhere in the Mods folder) that populates the empty resources in CC. This template does just have fully transparent images so installing this won't really do anything unless you add something to the image files and the graphics are essentially full screen overlays (recommended 1920x1080 at a minimum resolution).

After updating to version 2.2.2, the frame rate drops at home, volleyball screens, and so on. If I turn it to the previous version, it works normally. Is there any reason to expect it?

The frame rate shouldn't be affected by v2.2.2 any more than v2.2 or v2.2.1. I believe the frame rate drops are a bug in the game if you leave it on for a long enough for your session to expire (when it errors and kicks you back to the home screen) that DMM especially keeps having on and off every couple of patches, steam doesn't get the bug nearly as often (if at all). Even if you didn't downgrade it would likely be fine if you just closed and relaunched the game. I believe a couple of months ago I verified it occurred even without CC installed. I haven't yet tried seeing if it occurs without 3DMigoto if the kickback interacts weirdly with the game redoing some of its initialization.

Can someone help me solve this problem with CC?

I install 3D fix and lots of prerequisite mods for DMM version and Costume Customizer looks not working. But my Steam Version works good. I tried uninstall the whole game and mods but it still doesn't work.

有人能帮我解决这个问题吗  游戏和mods都重装过了 还是这样

Steam版本正常运作 但是DMM的就不行

hey, is there any solution to an issue im having in which the Honoka model and the Luna model are sharing the same body and therefore share the same costume customizer outfit?

Posted

@luchengye123 - You'll need to update your d3dx.ini to include updates that occured after the last time the base-mod was updated. You can find mine here, but there may be newer ones that support additional shaders for newer mods. This one should be fine for Steam and DMM for CC at a minimum.

@j_money1000 - That is a limitation of CC and most mods avaiable. The game really only has 3 different model types and tweaks some background values to tweak their height and bust. As a result, most mods can't differentiate between the different characters that share the same model-type. Most refer to the body types as Common, Honoka, and Marie-Rose. They each include the following characters:

  • Common
    • Kasumi
    • Ayane
    • Hitomi
    • Momiji
    • Helena
    • Kokoro
    • Nyotengu
    • Misaki
    • Tamaki
    • Lei Fang
    • Fiona
    • Monica
    • Patty
    • Nanami
  • Honoka Type:
    • Honoka
    • Luna
    • Sayuri
    • Tsukushi
    • Elise
  • Marie Rose Type
    • Marie Rose
    • Nagisa
    • Kanna
    • Lobelia

As a consolation. If you are playing on DMM, You can buy the Dewa suit in the girl coin shop up to Nagisa (in girl release order). That will let you set a different costume per body-type that will be different from what you have replacing Takao since the costumes can replace either suit and CC can differentiate between the textures. You can find more information in the v2 release notes below. Hopefully they'll add Dewa to the girl coin shops in Steam but no SR suits have been added into their shops yet, only old event accessories are available so far.

@EinZwie - My guess is you didn't run the "update.bat" to have the script generate the new slot folders from 97-240.

@ViperNest - First, to save the outfit/selections, press F10 to reload once its how you want to keep it. Second, the material editor menu offers a lot of control over what it affects. The S1-S4, A1-A3 correspond to the individual meshes a modder can add to a mod-pack option. S=Solid/Opaque mesh, A=Alpha/transparency-enabled meshes. A checkbox corresponding to Panty + S1 means the first opaque mesh of the current panty option will have the custom material modifiers applied. So if a mod-pack utilizes multiple meshes per option you can isolate only some of them to apply the changes but not all. One of the best examples of this would be in my bondage straps mod-pack. The straps, rings and rivets are all different meshes, so you can recolor the straps while leaving the rings/rivets alone. Ultimately for this level of control, it depends on how much the modder breaks up the clothing option into multiple meshes for how granular the selection can be.

Selectively only changing the straps.

What would happen if you recolored all of the mesh slots for panty option.

image.png.ee7e9cefaa6ec6e0f16d6331146379ae.png

The reset on clothing change option just means that when you select a new outfit/option in the normal CC menu, whether or not the custom material toggle is disabled automatically. If the "reset" is enabled, then changing a costume will automatically disable the categories affected. If the "reset" is not checked, then it'll leave those options checked.

If changed Panty category w/ Reset enabled.

Changed Panty category w/o reset enabled.

What are these? These red texts...
i don't know what's these red text mean...
Everytime i start the game, these red texts always shows up

i placed the folder here - DOAX-VenusVacation\Mods\Costumes\SquareBikiniNude[mono1214]
The Mod is *SquareBikiniNude* by mono1214

@ViperNest - SquareBikiniNude's tan.ini relies on the original Tan mod from the original Starter-pack (DOAXVV Modpack v10) from the getting started post. It's rather dated, and you already have your game folder set-up, plus there were bugs in that version that would cause meshes to appear pink at times. So I'll just upload only that Tan folder w/ the fixes so you shouldn't need to worry about it.

Tan.zip

The tan folder needs to be placed as such so that SquareBikiniNude mod can reference it properly (that's what the red text is saying).

For the record, I ALWAYS use Normalize Weights after transferring them.  I'm not actually sure what that's supposed to do, but someone told me to.

Anyway thanks for the tutorial.  Exactly what I was hoping for.

One more question:

I made them. They're part of the rest of the clothes in that mod, which is still a WIP.  My next mod, whatever I release, I'll include them as a bonus.

I also update to 2.2.2 and the frame rate drops.

Disable the material editor and it has improved.

Where is this mod?

Posted

For some reason after I bring up the menu (CRTL-F3) when I click on an item it passes through and also clicks on whatever is behind it from the main game.  Is this normal? If not any ideas on how to fix it. Thanks!

Posted

@JranZu - The CC menus don't intercept mouse clicks (because of what you are describing, and i didn't want to fully intercept in case anything went wrong and you couldn't click anymore if I messed something up). To use the menu, hover the mouse over the selection and use keys 1-9, 0 and Shift+(1-9,0) to correspond to options 1-20 of that item/preset.

@12345 - If it wasn't posted then I would assume no there aren't Marie-rose versions of things that are released only specifying Common and/or Honoka. However there is also a few floating around on the 4chan /h/ DOA general that are mod-packs only for Marie-Rose body type.

@tantrave - The buf files (ps-cb2) are followed as before v2.2 if custom materials are toggled off. If custom materials are toggled on, then the Fresnel/ID parameter is overridden (and associated material params associated with that ID) for the meshes using custom materials. For alpha-blended meshes, I believe I apply the customization after the provided buf file modification for the few customizations that are supported for alpha-blended meshes.

Hi Kuro
The menu works when I press F3 with all the latest updated mods installed, but when I hover my mouse over the selection and use keys 1-9, 0 and Shift+1-9,0, nothing responds.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the mods once again, but it still doesn't work. Hope you can help me out with the issue. Thanks!

Hello i got a problem and i think its related to costume customizer. So everytime i put Patty on screen my fps drops unless shes using a costume customizer mod(takao in her case).I can change her costume after that and there is no performance drop.
I play on dmm and i am using the lastest custome customizer version.

I'm just reporting that when I was working on mods, I noticed that the game frequently crashes when I reload 3dmigoto (F10). After some testing, I downgrade CC v2.2.2 to v.2.1, and the crashes completely disappeared.

I don't know if it's only on my environment. The only mods I'm using are CC, some skin mods, facial expression, makeup mod and few miscellaneous mods.

I don't get any crash log when this happens.

Hello, whenever I change outfit as a whole or individual piece, sometimes the tan line will stay or disappear when moving to cut scenes or changing skin tone.

Is there a fix for this?

Posted (edited)

@SavageMoonBoy - I haven't really looked into that sort of issue since I see plenty of other crashes when seemingly CC isn't involved and try to look more into the FPS drops to see if there is any relation. It's possible that I may need to try a similar modification that I did to the base of CC where I disable the mod until it loads far enough (which would happen again on reloads). Back early on for CC, it used to load the outfit in a [Constants] block but it used to crash relatively frequently and I found it handled better if I waited to load the outfit until it encountered the first TextureOverride. With v2.2+, the new custom material logic does some similar things where it might be front-loading too much work at the start of a launch/reload so I can try to see if I can delay it to spread it out over a longer period and see if that makes any improvement. Its hard to quantify though, it could have to do with RAM speed, game install read-speed (M2-Cache, SSD, HDD, etc.) and possibly other machine specific differences, so it'll be tough to figure out if it makes a difference or not even if I make any adjustments.

@ronjimox

Regarding slow-downs, I'm still trying to find any evidence for or against whether CC is involved. 2 weeks ago, about 75% of the time DMM session timed-out (when DOAXVV states it encountered an error when you haven't been actively playing the game for 8+ hours but left it running) I would get a slow-down if Kanna or Sayuri were on screen in certain scenes but not Hitomi or LeiFang. If i reload the slow-down seems to persist but if I close/restart the game it goes away (until maybe the next time-out). Last week after the next game patch I removed CC and never encountered the slow-down, about 4 days later I re-enabled CC and still haven't gotten a single FPS slow-down in DMM. For Steam, I don't know if I've ever had an FPS persistent FPS slow-down like I've seen in DMM, which is why I still lean towards its a fault in the DMM game code. If it pops up again for me I'll try poking around changing outfits as it's probably been a while since I've tried seeing what the impact there is but its still hard to trouble shoot since its not at all consistent to reproduce.

@SoulRyona - The game appears to track the tan-lines from the previous outfit and then recalculates the tan-line adjustment of the current suit on-top of the previous. What this means is that if you want the custom tan-lines to stick or not change, its best to create the tan-lines you want and change actual outfits (Takao/Dewa to something else), go back to the home screen, then re-enter the in-game outfit change to switch back to Takao/Dewa (if you want to wear a different CC outfit than the tan-lines). This should get the game to effectively store off the tan-lines (I believe they are stored in DX11_data/savedata/SAVESUNTAN.dat). All this being said, the game still actively decays tanlines whether you want it to or not over time. So if you keep the game up long-enough or start it up the next day, the game will recalculate the updated tan-lines by mixing the old tan-lines with the current worn outfit and I'm not really sure there is a way to prevent this. Anyhow, try out the set tan-line and switch/switch-back trick to see if that alleviates some of the issues, if not or you have something else you are seeing try and include some screenshots and a description of the sequence of events.
