There ain't much to be done with the vanilla Argonian heads/appearance, but the characters shown there are some of the (if not the) most attractive and better looking Argonian ladies I've seen. And they are 100% scaly goodness, no human skin involved at all. Reveal hidden contents Reveal hidden contents Someone managed to accomplish that with vanilla Argonian heads? Holy shit. 2
Noitox Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 The horns of the blue one aren't vanilla, or do I miss something in my game? Saw the blue one on nexus in the user image section of the Dragon Bone Bikini Armor. I try to find them but I think it could be a self made mesh.

Yeah, those aren't vanilla, they are from a pack of new Argonian hair/horn options made by KrittaKitty (author of the Lykaios race mod). The original upload got deleted alongside Kritta's other mods a while ago, but IIRC some other mod that distributed the new hairs among NPCs includes all of the required assets so you can use that one instead. Can't post a link right now, but I think the mod was called "Hott Argonians" (I may be wrong about the double t on hott, I don't know for sure).
Noitox Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 Ok, I think I figured it out how the horns of the blue one are created. It is definitely Hott Argonians-Mod. The "Fhorns_1.nif", "Fhorns_2.nif" and the "Fhorns_crest.nif" were merged together. One of the "Ears_feathercrest.nifs"was used for the feathers. (I think "F_05_Ears_feathercrest_brown.nif") I tried to merge them by myself with Outfitstudio but for some reason the horns weren't showing up ingame. Any advice, tips or help would be nice, because I'm not experienced in this stuff.

Head parts can't be merged in Outfit Studio, the game only reads a single NiTriShape (mesh) for each of them so even if you load all the NiTriShapes you want into the same nif file the game will only load one of them. You need to edit the plugin itself in xEdit and add the extra meshes as Extra Parts for it to work. Find out which of the nifs you mentioned have the "Is Extra Part" flag in their HeadPart record data and add them to whichever one doesn't have that tag as Extra Parts.
Noitox Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 So, i tried to add them via SSEEdit: https://imgur.com/a/1kqk5cG I think I missed something or did something wrong, because the chosen Horns didn't show up. I copied the FormIDs from the horns and added them to the "Feather-Hair" of my choice under Extra Parts. All three Horn-Arts where tagged with "Is extra Part" like all other Horn-Arts. Only the Feather-Hair-Parts aren't. Don't know what I can do.
Seracen Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Glad I'm not the only one looking for something like this. Both the Shark Race and that Blue Argonian look really on point, and basically what I wanted out of a "Sexy argonian race mod." It's amazing to me that someone crafted the blue one with the vanilla sliders, and I wish I could take the time and apply such aesthetics to every Argonian in the game. Alas, I lack the skill and patience to do so. Also, that Shark Race is awesome! Are there any plans to make it into a race replacer for the current Argonians (perhaps a separate batch for either males or females)? Because that would make my day, if I could replace every Argonian in my game with Selachii...assuming it was as "simple" as changing the race (and didn't require changing all in-game Argonians by hand). Either way, great stuff! On 11/1/2018 at 12:57 AM, Jorvalt said: Someone managed to accomplish that with vanilla Argonian heads? Holy shit. On 10/29/2018 at 2:27 PM, Blaze69 said: This. The Serval preset/race was done using the vanilla low-poly heads, so that's even more of an achievement, but with enough time, you can get some surprisingly good results both for vanilla Khajiit/Argonian heads and their CITRUS counterparts. For example, all of the new feline races from Yiffy Age of Skyrim (cheetah, sabrelion/smilodon, panther, snow leopard and tiger) use CITRUS heads as a base, as do the Kygarra (hyenas) and Fennec ("normal" foxes, and not actual fennecs, as the name would suggest). Vaalsark (jackals) still use vanilla heads, but will use CITRUS ones when the YA 5.0 update drops. There's also the Crocodilian Argonian presets: Reveal hidden contents And if you want to get even more extreme examples, you just need to check out the new heads from the upcoming update of my shark race mod: Hide contents Believe it or not, those are edited Argonian CITRUS heads. It's true we're working on cleaning up the morphs/phonemes because they don't play that nice with the new shape; but it's mainly due to the shortening of the mouth indent. Had we left the lips as long on the sides as vanilla Argonians have them, it would have been pretty much game-ready, with only minor bugs here and there.

Actually, editing the vanilla Argonian race itself to turn it into Selachii (as Yiffy Age of Skyrim does with humans and elves, for example) would be quite the ordeal and take a lot of work because we would need to edit every single one of their head parts and assets. Considering the amount of Argonian NPCs in the game is pretty limited (I'd be surprised if there's more than 20-30 of them), it would be easier to simply manually change their race one by one. We would still need to come up with the 20-30 new character presets for those NPCs unless you wanted them all to look like clones, but otherwise would be a pretty straighforward (albeit tedious) task. I don't see it happening anytime soon, but I can't completely rule it out either.

That's some amazing work you've been doing, I applaud you, and thanks again for the fast response. Good luck on your project moving forward! Really, only that many Argonians eh? It strikes me as odd that no one else has had a go at changing up the Argonians in this way before. I recall a few race replacers for Oblivion, one which turned them into Merfolk (and not the overly human kind). Well, once I'm done with exams, I might have to take a look at the CK again. I haven't touched the thing since Oldrim first came out, but it'd be an interesting undertaking.
Shadowscale Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 I went with a more raptor look for Argonians. Nicer Looking Argonians with feathered tails Can add Raptor Feet, Martial Arts, and Beast Feet Abilities if you want to more of a monk/brawler.
winny257 Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 it exists only this picture! one can see on the neck that it has been manipulated.

Only for SSE version here: Argonians https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10111 and or Kajiits https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10112 If you find the LE mods you can even use an alternate esp which remove the Argonians tails too, they look great ? Is there a mod to make the voices more attractive?
GlacialSpector Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 This is how my argonian gal looks~ but I do wish there was a better female argonian voice.

Horn1Dud3 Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 Dunno if this thread is still relevant but here's something i made. It's based on a headmesh i saw on Nexus that someone had made for OG Skyrim so i wanted to make my own for SE. Took me a bit to get the sculpt just right and even then it could probably use some improvements but I think this final version turned out decent (Also my hand started cramping up after trying to not make it look weird from multiple angles and i just wanted to wrap it up). Gonna include the files you need in case anyone would like to use it. Just extract it in >Skyrim:SE/Data/SKSE/Plugins/CharGen . Feel free to edit and share as you see fit. Cera.rar 3

Nice to see other people also enjoy re-sculpting heads into new races. Keep up the good work!
