It was working fine until I added a bunch of mods to add creature behaviours to go with sexlabs and stuff! So I looked everywhere, sorted the load order with LOOT, uninstall all mods and reinstall being careful about the conflicts, I verified game cache, deleted skyrim.ini, enabled papyrus log but it gave nothing after the CTD... I'm running out ouf ideas right now... Fnis has been run several times, it is the XXL version. Hoping someone can find a solution to this! Thanks ! That would mean that you have the old version of More Nasty Critters. And that, in turn, is the likely cause of your problem. While you're at it though you may want to check how many total animations you are running. What FNIS (plain or XXL) tells you is how many animations that FNIS can handle, not how many Bugthesda's crummy engine can handle in your modded Skyrim game.

If you verified your game cache.. that means you are running on Skyrim 1.5.53 executable. This also means that papyrusutil and sexlab are now broken for your game. This is because the game was recently updated, thus SKSE was recently updated.. and so everything that has not been updated to the new SKSE will not work correctly until they are updated. Follow this thread on how to roll back or to see when the updates are available. HINT: the mods in red near the top have not yet been updated. The ones in green will work with the new versions of Skyrim and SKSE

Yes I'm running skyrim 1.5.53, it took me some god damn time to make it run after the update but everything was fine, it even fixed the schlongs that I could'nt use anymore for some reason... I managed to have my mods running smoothly, the only thing I lost was the Osex library. But you know, when you start modding your game you only want to go further and everytime I ran FNIS it told me I didn't have the creature pack so I figured "why not?". And that's where I lost it. Also I never managed to do the downgrade thing, I tried several times, even redownloaded the entire game via the command but it kept brain freezing. I will try to install SLAL but I didn't use it before trying to install the creatures animations and all and it was fine. That's where I'm bumping. Here's what I'm going to do for the 4th time in 3 days: uninstall all mods, check integrity, meticulously reinstall them without overlapping things and adding SLAL. I'll tell you if it's fixed or not! Thanks for your answers, always appreciate seeing some people have time to help others

These other creature mods are great but they won't run without Fore's pack!

Going to add this to mod list and install! EDIT: I feel so stupid... Installing SLAL and Creature pack seems to have fixed everything, I can now start a new game! And well, it crashed my game haha! But I managed to fix it somehow, looked like Animated Prostitution was the troublemaker. I could start a new game, my mods could load without any problem BUT. I had all the characters (NPCs and myself) stuck on T-pose. So I got back, reinstalled fnis behaviour properly too and it updated without any warning. BUT, now I can't load or start a new game anymore... I might not be cut out for modding I guess. I added a .txt file with the new load order sorted by LOOT. Sorry for being a noob at this haha, but all these tempting mods that are yours for the taking got me greedy... LOOT load order.txt

First, when does your CTD occur? Does is crash before or after you reach the Main Menu? If it happens before then double check LOOT to make certain that you are not missing any requirements. If it happens after then you probably have too many animations for your modded Skyrim game. If that is the case post a screenshot of FNIS (after you've run it) that shows the number of animations that you are currently trying to run.

Here's the screenshot: Yes. Most people's Skyrim games can handle 10-12k animations and you have over 15k animations. You have 3 choices. First, you can get rid of animation packs to get back under the working limit (which may be higher or lower than I've indicated - that is just an average). Second, you can move ZAP and/or DD to older versions. This assumes that you can find them and that the other mods you run will work with the older versions. Both of these contain substantial numbers of animations and they go up with every new iteration. Third, you can go onto the SLAL support thread and look for the many pieces of advice there about removing smaller numbers of animations from your packs. If you are confused just post there and it is likely that MadMansGun will help you. He has always been a big help for me. Anyway, good luck!

Thost Posted October 9, 2018 Author Posted October 9, 2018 Yes in fact, uninstallling those animation packs lowered the number by approximately 2800 animations... Doing so even unlocked some mod menus in MCM that I never managed to open and the game is now almost stable! Just need to deal with random CTD while wandering now. Might just be because of 4k textures this time, but that's another topic And nice quote about the wise man by the way
