Fun fact: the original DWTW Laela localisation file was around 20k characters. Now it's up to 60k. I put a lot of heart and soul into this update to make sure that men and women of both sexual preferences are checked.

(and no, she doesn't give a shit which team you bat for; she takes what she wants)

Well I'm glad she's totally indiscriminate about her sex slaves, but is she cruel enough to make poor Lily watch?

Yes, yes she is.

Sometimes, survival means kissing a ruler's feet.

Ā

This quest chain has a couple of choices, depending on if you have the Broken Girl or not. Probably not a wise idea to subjugate yourself in the presence of Eilistraee's Chosen.

Ā

Oh, and a little note: because divorce is hardcoded, I've added a little something for those who want to break their enslavement. Fair warning: don't do this.

Sounds like fun

To experience all those events, is it necessary to be a dark elf, of can we be a fairy ?

All Spurned Sister invasion events allows for the followingĀ as a trigger:
(any one of the following)
Dark Elf trait

DWR/DWTW Fairy trait

Elf trait

Ā

The Spurned Sister Invitation event (1.11) allows for the following as a trigger:

(any one of the following)

Dark Elf trait

DWR/DWTW Fairy trait

DWR/DWTW Neko trait

DWR/DWTW Kitsune trait

Elf trait

Orc trait

Immortal trait

Quick or Genius traits

Strong trait

Ā

Additionally, the event will NOT fire if you have one of the following:

Ugly

Inbred

Weak

Clubfooted

Harelip

Infirm

Dwarf

Slow

Imbecile

Ā

Ā

So yes, you can see the events as a fairy. In fact, even if you don't meet the requirements for the invasion questline, you can still get the invitation questline even as a vanilla human so long as you have certain traits.

I KNEW I forgot to include the hotfix into the update zip. Go ahead and download the previous version hotfix and it will solve the problem.

Ā

For everyone else in the future,Ā I reuploaded the zip file with the fix so nobody has to download a second file.

I'll just re-download it. I was just test firing some events and screwing around a bit, but now I have an idea for a new playthrough thanks to the new content, so I'll be starting that later this morning. I have the next three days off, so plenty of time for a long campaign.Ā

I noticed that the honorary titles (Honored Daughter, etc.) don't work, no matter what tier my primary title is. Are they for house Irae only?Ā

No, I figured out the problem. I'll be uploading a fix shortly.

Glad you managed to figure it out. I tried to fix it, because I planned on using them with a little addon I'm working on, but got nowhere with it. I'm trying to make a custom King-tier title, formable only by lolth female characters who are independent and already hold two duchies. I wanted theĀ primary title to be "Matron Mother" of House "Dynasty Name" and instead of Prince/Princess, the children are "Honored Daughter" and "Favored Son" but then I thought it would be stupid to give that title to all the children, so your honorary titles made a lot more sense.Ā

The fix was actually quite simple. allowed_to_grant apparently doesn't allow any boolean operators. Like, at all. is_parent_of or something similar will break it, because it's a potential field and is checked first in the list. Think ofĀ allowed_to_grant as potential andĀ allowed_to_hold as allowĀ in terms of decisions, but more restrictive. It needs to be short and sweet. Cultures, religions, and such are all fine, but the moment you put in a condition that uses a boolean operator (FROM, ROOT, etc), it breaks.

That makes sense.Ā

All this hotfix seems to have done is cause an endless loop of dying characters (Mostly priests/temple holders) and I have no idea why. Makes the game unplayable though.

At a guess, I'm thinking it has something to do with the following:

Ā

Original DWTweaksHouseIrae.txt

Ā

trigger = {
Ā Ā  Ā Ā Ā  Ā is_theocracy = yes
Ā Ā  Ā Ā Ā  Ā religion = lolth
Ā Ā  Ā Ā Ā  Ā is_ruler = yes

Ā

New File

Ā

trigger = {
Ā Ā  Ā Ā Ā  Ā is_theocracy = yes
Ā Ā  Ā Ā Ā  Ā religion = lolth
Ā Ā  Ā Ā Ā  Ā is_ruler = yes
Ā Ā  Ā Ā Ā  Ā NAND = {Ā  Ā  Ā  (No idea why it's necessary since the trigger worked perfectly before. Now it's killing every priest every time it ticks a day...)
Ā Ā  Ā Ā Ā  Ā Ā Ā  Ā is_female = no
Ā Ā  Ā Ā Ā  Ā Ā Ā  Ā culture = drow
Ā Ā  Ā Ā Ā  Ā Ā Ā  Ā trait = dwtw_drow

Posted

So after testing this and keeping the originalĀ DWTweaksHouseIrae.txt file, titles work fine, priests are no longer being killed off every day, and life is good. Something is definitely broken in the hotfix version ofĀ DWTweaksHouseIrae.txt

hmm... testing ?

Ā

Maybe is_female should be yes... seems to be okay after the modification

And another example of why I shouldn't upload when tired. I had two versions of the hotfix, one in the zip and one I was testing. I forgot to zip up the one I was testing

haha don't worry, took me 10 minutes just to figure out if putting yes meant the condition was returning true or false. At 2 AM.

On a Monday morning it would have been 1 hour though... and to do it all wrong anyway ?
