The only thing frightening me is what will happen to the extended univers, since we already have the "third trilogy" in comic book will they take that scenario or say f*** **f and make a completely different one destroying the whole timeline.

As for the EU, I hope they fix the novels, and strike all NJO series onward from the cannon, as that was where subpar changes started occuring way too much.

The problem with Lucas is that because he got so fucking rich, he didn't really need anybody to put money into Episodes 1-3, Without anybody else with a controlling interest, Lucas could do whatever he wanted. Add onto that the fact that Lucas directed those three movies along with having direct access and control to the screenplays, and you see how much of it is his failing.

 

Ironically, the only movie in the whole of Star Wars that I really enjoy, which is Empire, wasn't directed by Lucas and he had nothing to do with the screenplay.

 

The best way to make a good Star Wars film is to have Lucas write the story, and then push him away and let other people direct and write the screenplay. Because at this point, Lucas has proven that whatever he touches turns to shit.

 

And yes, I count A New Hope and Return among them.

It'll be fine. The SW universe needs some new blood anyway, it's been dying off. Look no further than Biowards KOTOR MMO. The first two KOTORs were kick-ass, then they tried to go too far and failed.
