slices9 Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 Hi, my game keeps CTDing in specific locations, I tried disabling mods and trying, but all results are the same, LOOT says there are no conflicts and I have used SSEEDit for the mods that required it (not XPMSE), but still... I am lost in terms of tracking the offender in papyrus and am hoping for a bit of help in that regard. below is my load order: 0 0 Skyrim.esm 1 1 Update.esm 2 2 Dawnguard.esm 3 3 HearthFires.esm 4 4 Dragonborn.esm 5 5 RSkyrimChildren.esm 6 6 Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp 7 7 BSAssets.esm 8 8 BSHeartland.esm 9 9 BS_DLC_patch.esp 10 a BBLuxurySuite.esm 11 b Campfire.esm 12 c RaceCompatibility.esm 13 d ZaZAnimationPack.esm 14 e FM - UCM Interior.esm 15 f FlowerGirls SE.esm 16 10 FlowerGirls SE - BDSM.esm 17 11 SexLab.esm 18 12 Devious Devices - Assets.esm 19 13 SexLabAroused.esm 20 14 SexLab Attraction.esm 21 15 Cutting Room Floor.esp 22 16 FNISSexyMove.esp 23 17 Sit Anywhere.esp 24 18 DSHg - Circlets.esp 25 19 DSHg - DragonPriest Masks.esp 26 1a DSHg - Hats.esp 27 1b DSHg - Helmets.esp 28 1c DSHg - Hoods.esp 29 1d DSHg - UpdateDB.esp 30 1e DSHg - UpdateDG.esp 31 1f KS Hairdo's.esp 32 20 SkyHeels.esp 33 21 NocturnalArchMageRobes.esp 34 22 AsharaElisifOutfit.esp 35 23 AsharaPartyOutfit.esp 36 24 AsharaImperialOutfit.esp 37 25 HearthfireMultiKid.esp 38 26 Castle Volkihar Rebuilt.esp 39 27 WARZONES - SSE - Civil Unrest.esp 40 28 WARZONES - SSE - DLC - Assault Attack.esp 41 29 SexLab_DibellaCult.esp 42 2a Sjel Blad Castle_SE.esp 43 2b MrissiTailOfTroubles.esp 44 2c marriagemod - alpha v3.esp 45 2d SexLab_Solutions.esp 46 2e AmazingFollowerTweaks.esp 47 2f AFT_NoFriendlySpellDamage.esp 48 30 AFT_NoDances.esp 49 31 AFT_ManagedFollowerBoost.esp AFT - 3DNPC Patch.esp 50 32 zMirai.esp 51 33 Tentapalooza.esp 52 34 animal_mansion.esp 53 35 BecomeKingofSkyrim.esp 54 36 WindstadMine.esp 55 37 UniqueBorderGates-All.esp 56 38 WARZONES - SSE - DLC - Assault Attack + UniqueBorderGates-All - Compatibility.esp 57 39 ValkyrjaCastleWhiterun.esp 58 3a SofiaFollower.esp 59 3b SkystoneCastle.esp 60 3c BesEss.esp 61 3d FM - UCM Merchants.esp 62 3e FM - UCM Xterior.esp 63 3f DoubleBedsAreForTwoPeople.esp 64 40 PrinceandPauper.esp 65 41 AFT - USSEP Patch.esp 66 42 AFT - Dragonborn Patch.esp 67 43 FollowerWander2.esp 68 44 AwpSylvanas.esp 69 45 HearthfireMultikid_PNP Patch.esp 70 46 HearthfireMultiKid_LastName.esp 71 47 Recorder Follower Base.esp 72 48 RavenCastle.esp 73 49 FNISspells.esp 74 4a 12FemaleBrows.esp 75 4b Aesthetic Elisif.esp 76 4c RSChildren.esp 77 4d Ty's Babette.esp 78 4e BBLS_SKSE64_Patch.esp 79 4f Maxine - Zombie Follower.esp 80 50 The Paarthurnax Dilemma.esp 81 51 My Home Is Your Home.esp 82 52 BBLuxurySuiteENM.esp 83 53 MUPF.esp 84 54 MUPF_Craft.esp 85 55 gays.esp 86 56 LV_Cirilla.esp 87 57 SkyUI_SE.esp 88 58 CiriOutfit.esp 89 59 SLAnimLoader.esp 90 5a Abduction.esp 91 5b dcc-buttplug.esp 92 5c DW.esp 93 5d SexyKunoichi2ndByNausicaa.esp 94 5e SexLab Enchantress.esp 95 5f FNIS - Shocky Creature Sex Poses.esp.esp 96 60 FNIS - Shocky Poses Humans.esp 97 61 FNIS - Shocky Poses Misc.esp 98 62 SLPleasure.esp 99 63 KomAnimObjects.esp 100 64 True Scholar.esp 101 65 SignatureEquipment.esp 102 66 Alduin78_StarWars.esp 103 67 Magicka Sabers Unique.esp 104 68 Merta Black Rose Armor.esp 105 69 Sotteta Necromancer Outfit.esp 106 6a MannequinDesigns.esp 107 6b TDNEquipableHorns.esp 108 6c NewVampChainsCuirass.esp 109 6d Elvenia.esp 110 6e Cassandra Frost Witch.esp 111 6f TDNEquipableHorns_weightlessPatch.esp 112 70 FNIS.esp 113 71 FlowerGirls SE - Bathing Beauties Patch.esp 114 72 SexLab_DibellaCult_Sisters.esp 115 73 FGCumEffect.esp 116 74 UIExtensions.esp 117 75 DoubleBedsVoicePatchSofia.esp 118 76 DoubleBedsVoicePatchRecorder.esp 119 77 RSChildren - CRF Patch.esp 120 78 DoubleBedsSkyStoneCastlePatch.esp 121 79 RaceCompatibilityUSKPOverride.esp TDOC.esp 122 7a RaceMenu.esp 123 7b RaceMenuPlugin.esp 124 7c AddItemMenuSE.esp 125 7d XPMSE.esp 126 7e SOSRaceMenu.esp 127 7f TKDodge.esp 128 80 MassMatchMakerSE.esp 129 81 AP Skyrim SE.esp 130 82 LazyHeels.esp 131 83 SPFixed Stone of Barenziah places.esp 132 84 BarenziahQuestMarkers.esp 133 85 SLALAnimObjBillyy.esp 134 86 Merta Assassin Armor.esp 135 87 Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp 136 88 Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul.esp 137 89 Relationship Dialogue Overhaul.esp 138 8a RDO - AFT v1.66 Patch.esp 139 8b Convenient Horses.esp 140 8c CH Bruma Patch.esp 141 8d RDO - CRF + USSEP Patch.esp RDO - USSEP Patch.esp 142 8e Serana Dialogue Edit.esp and attached is my latest Papyrus Log. tasairis Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Did you port any of those mods from Oldrim for yourself? Are you sure you converted everything properly? Use NifScan to see if there are any meshes or textures with problems. Odds are at least one file is messed up and that file happens to be needed in the problematic location.
JRCosta Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 A consistent CTD on a particular location(s) is a sign that something there is corrupt or invalid, most likely added by a mod; could be a model (a .nif file), a skeleton file of a NPC, or any other unsupported file (mesh or textures); check your mod list for things added to those locations. Follow @tasairis advice and check for LE ports first (armor, NPCs, creatures...) In certain situations could be a mod you removed that left traces (loose scripts), so check if you uninstalled something middle-game. Use Fallrim Tools (read the instructions) to scan your save.

Thank you, will do and I will be looking out for those things! Edit: a couple of things: 1- I am using a clean save to test out changes 2- I keep getting 2 issues when using NifScan ([Use a compressed format or R8 (currently L8)] and [Dimensions must be divisible by 4 (currently 284x350)]) I am unsure how to correct those again, thanks for the advice

Textures, right? Use NifScan just like before but with the -fixdds option.

Unless there is another NifScan that I am unaware of, can you tell me where to find it? (I downloaded the one on Nexus)
tasairis Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Did you rerun NifScan (without the -fixdds) to see if the errors went away? The process for textures is to run NifScan normally, then if there are problems then deal with them (like by running with -fixdds), then run NifScan again, and if there are still errors then they'll need to be dealt with manually (like with NifSkope).

I did, and thanks for pointing NifSkope out, I'll look out for it.

Er, I misspoke. NifSkope is for meshes. For textures, any graphics program that can deal with textures will work (such as GIMP with a DDS plugin), though I'm not sure what errors can't be fixed with -fixdds.

Could be that whatever program they used to extract the ba files has extracted them but they are 0 size files, I have had that happen a couple of times and it can be a pain to sort out.

So I managed to disable all mods that appear to be crashing the game, except for one, the file name of the mod is aaxisland01, but I can't seem to narrow down the mod it belongs to.

If you're using NMM, search the VirtualInstall folder for that file. If you're using MO2, go to the Data tab on the right and browse down to where that file is and it will tell you the mod.

slices9 Posted September 18, 2018 Author Posted September 18, 2018 Looks like it was all for naught... I'll do a clean install and start adding mods from scratch. Thanks all for the advice! Edit: the clean install worked
Karen1965 Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Download papyrus . Turn on logging when CTD happens look at papyrus log in documents should tell why you are getting CTD's.

Papyrus log is attached in the first post, that was why I was asking for a second pair of eyes, I couldn't tell heads or tails with it.

I can count on one finger the number of times I've seen one useful.
