DaGoomi Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Just as the title says. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition, assuming that's where your SSE is located. What you get is the 1.5.39 executable, the one SKSE is looking for.

Ok I got THAT problem fixed, but it's still not detecting any mods.
tasairis Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 FNIS isn't seeing your XPMSE skeleton either. Why are so many of your mods unmanaged? How did you install them? You didn't just copy their ESPs, right? You got all the other files?

Sailing Rebel Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Check the paths used in MO2 for the Generate FNIS For Users executable.

Sailing Rebel Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 I suspect the problem here is the install location of Skyrim combined with the Data folder installations. If you have MO2 there is no need to install mods into the Data folder. Doing so just makes things unnecessarily complicated. In all cases Skyrim should be installed outside of Program Files (86) as Windows UAC is just too intrusive and unpredictable to work with - running things as admin might work one day and then silently fail the next.

This opens the Modify Executables window. In the Title field, type FNIS. For the Binary field, browse to your FNIS installation (should be located in <ModOrganizer>/mods/Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS/tools/GenerateFNIS_for_Users) and select the GenerateFNISforUsers.exe application. Click the Add button. This will add FNIS to your executables list. Click Close to close the dialog. Please note: After closing FNIS, there will be files in Overwrite (essentially a fake mod located at the bottom of the Left Pane if sorted by priority ascending) created by FNIS. Right-click Overwrite and select Create Mod, name it FNIS Output and click OK. This will create a new mod listing in the Left Pane for the FNIS generated files. You will then need to check it to enable it. Each subsequent time you update FNIS behavior, you must open Overwrite and drag the new files back to this mod. If you receive a This application cannot be started message, most likely you forgot to enable the mod in the Left Pane.

Where am I supposed to put skyrim if Its not supposed to be in program files x86?

In your Steam settings you can create a second Steam library in another volume/drive where you can install games without UAC getting in the way. Here is a workaround if you only have one drive. 15 minutes ago, DishiEtti said: Also, I disabled UAC. Also, is it safe to delete every mod in the data folder when I have them all in MO2 Directory? You should not be disabling UAC, it's there to protect you. Similarly, running anything as admin should be treated as a temporary solution. None of the mods visible in your screenshot are actually handled by MO2. These are listed as "non-MO" because they installed to the Data folder. If you delete them from the Data folder they are gone. When using MO2 nothing should be installed to the Data folder besides the vanilla Skyrim files.

Should I just create backup game files then just delete skyrim off of programs x86?

No, they will need to be reinstalled individually through MO2. 1 hour ago, DishiEtti said: I am stuck on step 7. Move game files is not an option for me. That likely means that there is an issue with the edit in the vdf file and Steam has not recognised the new library. The new location must have a "steamapps" folder in it. Make no mistake, you should be thinking about starting from scratch rather than trying to save the mess left by NMM.

Should I just copy and paste steamapps folder to the new library? And yes, I want to start from scratch. I dont really value my progress on sse. I just want mods preserved.

If THIS not solve your problem can be because you are running MO from your DESKTOP and is recomended move MO to another folder out desktop. Move Skyrim out of Program Files is good, if you can make it, for reduce problems with UAC.
