so basically after i start FNIS and it finishes and what not, i go to the overwrite at the bottom of MO to "Create Mod..." however, when i click on it, no files or folders show up. It's just blank. I dont have a clue what to do for this since this is new to me and it just happened today.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled FNIS which didnt seem to work. The last thing i remember is going to the executables and accidentally changed the location of the Start In. If that was the issue, then where do i put the Start in?

Normally start in is left empty or at least it is in most of my stuff, some things like papyrus log viewers and such I will start in the appropriate save location for that game.

Though did fnis spit out any error message and such it may not have generated anything, also I think the updates changed the way mods are done in mo, in that if the files already exist they will be overwritten, it may be worth while checking the dates on the current fnis output mod you have, if you already have one.  Though this may not affect mo1 it may only be a mo2 thing.

Though for me I think one of the last couple of update of windows 10 did something as fnis when first run appears to do so without errors, but if re-run it spits out an error message about temp logs being missing even though they are there.

No error message i see... fnis runs like normal and it only really started when i accidentally changed the start in... i left it blank to see if it would work but it still doesn't work... and yes i do use MO2. This also started today and it worked fine until now. So i'm very unsure wtf happened

To be honest I am getting fed up with skyrim/special edition, having had a working set up in both game, stopped playing for a couple of months gone back and get constant ctd, nothing has changed, nothing but my os has updated, grr doing my head in.

I'm really not sure, but my best guess for your problem would be to double check ENBoost settings (or maybe reinstall for default values. I never heard that i caused problems, but microsoft did some patches which ENBoost offered a workaround for and they might conflict maybe. No clue about linux, but same approach might be worth a try too.^^

@OP Just try to delete the path you entered, or set the FNIS exe as executable again, or both.
