EnmaLust Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Hey all. After having to reinstall Skyrim and all its assets, I've once again found myself in a pickle. After several days of continued tests and tweaks I still cannot find the underlying issues. At first I was continuously crashing in the area around Whiterun. Now my FPS drops so ungodly low (6-11 fps) I can't do anything. What's bizarre is that when I initially load in using Alternate Start, I have a full 55-60 FPS. As soon as I leave the prison cell and the questline starts up, my frames drop exponentially. I tried disabling alt. start and all my graphical mods but I can't seem to pin down the issue for the frame loss. I've had all these mods in my setup before with very little problem. As for the Sexlab issues, in some instances the animations take ages to load and then one or more actors will perform while another stays frozen. Never had this issue before. I feel it has something do with the FPS loss. I've sorted with LOOT, ran FNIS, created a Bashed Patch, cleaned with TES5Edit, and used the STEP Guide for my ini settings but during my work I know I've messed something up along the way. Install this if not have it: SKSE Memory Patch Crash Fixes 12 ENB in Bost mode Load Game CTD Fix Aditionally, you can have a problem in the ini files. Is not recomended manage it manually. Use BethIni, simply download, install and execute. Activate the ticks for ENB Mode and Recomended Tweaks, press High or Ultra and save/exit. Try again with Alternate Start. Work perfect for me for years. If problem persist can be a problem in the installation of the mods. Enable login and put the papyrus log in your next message.

All I did was drop XPMSE to the bottom, set the graphics to High instead of Ultra (don't know why I didn't think of that before), and reran BethINI... FPS is fantastic, load times are significantly faster. Oh goodness... I had already done all the stability tools. I thought I was about to go insane. As far as Papyrus goes, I can't seem to get the file to generate. I'm certain I've set it up correctly in the INI settings. Since it's super late I can't do any further testing. The last issue that I can see is that the Sexlab animations are not stopping by themselves. When the animation gets to the end it continues to loop until I force it to stop. Any idea as to what causes that? Can't thank you enough! If anything crops up in my tests tomorrow I'll post another reply.

Any idea as to what causes that? Look in the MCM of SexLab Deadly Drain. Reduce the slider about "extend last step" or some like that. But i alert you. Some times this slider is ignored and sometimes in some animations the last step have excesive duration.

I always check in Wyre if anything is conflicting with XPMSE then uninstall everything related then "install last" with XPMSE SKSE Memory Patch - Someone here at LL agreed with me that it don't work right ENB in Boost mode - Boost mode is outdated but may still work with some versions, otherwise I use the latest wrapper and config everything in game before I start a new game BethIni is awesome, just watch some of the options like grid loads With Alternate Start keep doing breezehome in whiterun first and see if you can pick up your followers/companions in the inn then try to leave it and see if it freezes at the two guys talking to an old lady...Riverwood is good too, just make a quick player then talk to Ognar and get the helgen quest going and leave towards Helgan, if you can spawn the dragon coming out of helgen then your fine

When was the last time "Boost mode" was updated? And most lower end GFX cards can't do "Boost mode" but other modes like an updated wrapper

Spoiler Having said that, we can discuss for months about the problems that have SKSE, but for that you must be able to read and understand the source files of skse in c++ and have a big knowledge about memory management, multi thread process, mutex, semaphores, crititical process... and a lot more things like ASM. As i know, the only part of SKSE that has been superseded is the memory manager, made by Crash Fixes 12. But for enable it you must download and install a new dll, change things in ini files and is not easy for a low user. Skyrim is a game from 2011 and have a lot of problems solved with a lot of tools. But that not mean that the game not work. For start, a Skyrim with 50 mod's not need any utility, work perfect with base game plus mods. If you have 250 plugins and are running 350 mod's or more, with bash patch and some merges, probably you need use the new memory manager of Crash Fixes 12 because SKSE can be overloaded by the excesive memory request of all this mods. The new versions of ENB solve some visual problems and gliches in some situations, but the core of ENB has not been changed. That does not mean that it is outdated. The core used in the previous versions is exactly the same. The new versions of ENB solve exactly the same problems they solved before. You last downloaded a file from this mod on 02 Sep 2016 Maybe i must update it. But why??? Work??? YES Have any problem??? NOT Then, why update. Similar situation i have with USLEEP. I use a version from 2016 until the past month. And i install it ONLY because a user say that have a problem caused by the new version. Of course, the problem are not in USLEEP. Upgrade is always convenient but now always necesary.
