Animated Genitalia WIP(s) Thread

This thread is an expansion of conversations about creating animated genitals (vagina, penises, and everything between) and will mainly serve as a way to collaborate, share progresses, get suggestions and to ask help with current and future related projects. 

 

This is not an area to report issues with existing animated penises.

So MiniGiles and I have been working on animated vaginas. I have finished a mesh, and am going to UV map it one day. And MiniGiles is going to be doing the rigging.

 

In discussing how to rig things, our collaboration got a bit stuck because there's lots of ways rigging could go. So I guess that's the first thing I'm interested in - how other people think the rig could be made and bones placed, and what would users and animators want the most? Would you prefer more bones or fewer bones? Keeping in mind the animated penis has about 10 bones for the penis shaft, many of which are mostly redundant, as the average sized penises are only rigged onto about 6 of the shaft bones iirc.

Thats great news to hear you're working on this as it will make an awesome difference!

My guess is that just three bones would be required,

One for labia each side and one for the clitoris,

It wouldn't need too much movement as it only needs to open,close and allow for some jiggling with fingers or a tongue lashing ?

I don't care, download the mesh itself and take a look.  v4 Final Mesh.blend (This upload uses flat shading whereas these screenshots use smooth shading, that is the only difference.)

 

  1. I do want to make variations with different clitoris sizes, and possibly variations with different inner labia sizes.
  2. This is only on the female frame so far, but I plan to adapt it for all Sims.
  3. I would prefer a 5 bone rig at minimum, but have some extras I kind of want. This is a ramble about my ideas, I am putting them out for discussion.
    • Bones on the lips of the outer labia. One bone each might be ok, but I would prefer 2 bones each, to better communicate weight. Think like the mouths on EA's Sims 4 rig, how they have three bones on each lip to express more emotions and weight emotions.
    • A bone for the clitoris itself and a bone for the clitoral hood.
    • And a bone to open/close the vaginal canal. Possibly one to open the anus as well (If you look at my model, you will notice I have added a 3D anus).
    • Another idea which came up in initial discussion is if the inner labia should be animated separately. I don't feel strongly about this, but I should bring it up. These are some things worth discussing.
  • I have made one animation for WW in the past, but I am not an experienced animator, so take my ideas with that in mind.

My opinion is that the vagina needs at least 6 bones, 2 for each side, of for the top and one for the bottom. It needs support all penises and some are thicker than others so it needs to be able to open more.
One problem that will come up with weights however is not the vagina, it's the the thighs. If the vagina is opened in order to support the thick models then either the vagina sides will clip inside the thighs, or the thighs must also be affected a bit. 

The same problem exists with the anus.

I removed the legs up to the pelvic floor and put arrows for potential bone locations and maximum distance. The boxes just mark off maximum space as well.

If we consider the model we have is the "closed/relaxed" version then if we put the bones right at the vaginal opening we should get a wide enough open look.

Perhaps it is not the space is too small but rather some of the penes (my models included) are simply disproportionately large.?

I think Blender allows you to transfer UV maps if the polycount is the same between models... so message me an updated version of the model if you change the polycount. TBH, I wasn't actively working on UV mapping more than a little because my mind tends to wander between different projects. but I just finished making a thing so I will get back to actively UV mapping and making textures shortly.

So wasn't there a whole thing about there being a limited number of bones that we can add to the sims rig? isn't it very close to the limit with the tongue, breast and penis?

I might have just read completely incorrect information but that's what I read over on the S4S foums.

I could try it again if you'd like. I haven't had any problems with S4S lately, but let me know if you want me to try. (And I don't use S4 CAS Tool)

(I added a custom thumbnail which is just a block of solid red so it was easy for me to find the item.)

As for the 3D vagina i made, it does change size with legs. The texture i made (wip) does not blend in well with the rest of the skin, however.

Also it messes with the uv on the side of sims. Might be my fault there. (1st: with vagina equipped. 2nd: not equipped)

Does anyone have any extracted sims 4 skin textures on hand? I am figuring out TS4Skininator, so if you don't have them on hand, I will get them eventually. I will figure it out! But if you happen to have some laying around, that is what would help me.

Does anyone have any extracted sims 4 skin textures on hand? I am figuring out TS4Skininator, so if you don't have them on hand, I will get them eventually. I will figure it out! But if you happen to have some laying around, that is what would help me.

@.Noir. and @Hiroki both of you have worked with new rigs with your penis meshes any suggestions?

 

For the sliders to work correctly you need to adjuct (well copy actully) the uv_1.

It seems that uv_1, does not actually controll textures, but weights.

You confuse UV textures, weights and morphs. UV_1 is there for morphs, not weights. I wouldn't recommand making changes to the UV location for the vagina on UV_1, otherwise you might have strange deformations when modifying your sim's body. If we didn't had that problem, we could take whatever mesh we find on the internet and "blend" it into the already existing body, but unfortunately that's not how things work in Sims4.

 

I'm not sure that your texture mapping isn't conflicting with some clothes too as it's very close to the borders of the "restricted" areas. Check before drawing the textures otherwise you will have to rebake all textures which is a rather boring and troublesome process.

 

I would recommand to start with a simple design, have it working and then add more details.

There is already a working animated vagina for Sims4 that I found on some forums some times ago, of a much more simple design though.

I just wanted to chime in and say, if you get these two things working I'll be forever in your debt - one of my biggest peeves about WW stuff so far is it's very unfriendly to trans male sims (with a masculine frame, my men who I've told the system do NOT have a penis, will still get a black penis blob appearing while they use the restroom, bathe, or strip and it's just generally very annoying though I understand it's a currently limitation with the WW scripts right now... one I hope will be fixed...eventually) 

 

But for creators like you who plan from the start to add variety to vagina shapes and clit sizes (so I can more accurately have a t-cock on some of my sims) and also allow these meshes for masculine framed sims - it's a breath of fresh air, honestly.

 

So, kudos to you, and I sincerely hope you get this all figured out and up and running in time! I am not a creator so I apologize I cannot offer any help, but I'm very excited to see this project come to light! Good luck!

I'll check it out, but I haven't touched the vertex painting part of the mesh yet. I don't know what that tool does lol, I will look into it thanks.
