Zayne, however, is not that involved in the raising of the twins. He is more concerned with keeping Bella's fame level rising - and thus he is also managing her social accounts, flirting with and teasing her subscribers.

 

This day, he gets a call from one Mike Presley.

"I have a business proposal for you", Mike says. "Meet me for a drink at the rooftop club in San Myshuno and I'll explain it to you."

 

Intrigued, Zayne gets dressed up and goes to meet with the man in question. Mike starts by introducing himself and explaining that he has met Bella before - and that his proposal could result in her gaining even more fans.

"You see", Mike says, "me and my business partner, Riccarde Abbelli, are planning on buying this place and converting it to a private club."

 

He shows Zayne his plans for the place; a dance floor and bar open for all customers, and a private VIP section with strippers. And, if you pay enough, you might get even more than a lapdance.

"Bella is already a celebrity in this world. I want her to be a weekly attraction - a star to perform for our VIPs once per week. With compensation, of course."

Zayne feels his excitement building. Mike's proposal sounds too good to be true, but he cannot make this decision on Bella's behalf.

"I will try and convince her."

"Good."

 

Back home, Zayne presents the plan - but keeps part of Mike's business plans secret. Like the fact that people will most likely pay a lot of money to have her do more than just strip and dance.

Bella is still unconvinced. Now, with the twins, she has trouble stepping into the party girl persona. She enjoys performing in front of the camera, but in front of a physical crowd?

"I don't know, Zayne..."

"Think about it", he says. "Take all the time you need."

 

The next day, Zayne is off at work and the twins are at pre-school when Bella's mind goes blank. Desmond steps inside the house and smiles at her.

"Bella."

"Master", she breathes.

 

Desmond mounts her four times that day, spilling deep inside of her every time. Bella, fully under his control, is following his every whim and wish. He did not think he would ever want to keep her - he is in love with his husband, after all - but having a pet to play with like this and not a Breeder is a wonderful feeling.

 

"I have a gift for you, my pet", he says before he leaves. "I do not want you to open it yet. Do it the next time I visit. Then, I want to see you wear it."

"Yes, master."

 

Bella blinks and finds herself in the bedroom. What was she doing here again? Oh, right; she was preparing to record a new video.

While stripping down to her underwear and fishnet stockings, she thinks about Zayne's proposal. Maybe it would be alright to do this in public once per week. She could make a show of it.

 

During dinner that night, she discusses the subject with Zayne. He seems overjoyed with her agreeing to do it.

"You'll be a star, Bella. They'll love you even more than they do now."

"Now that we're teens", Emilia says, "we can try and find out about our real family."

Isabel nods in agreement. They both remember - vaguely - another house and another woman raising them. Now they might be able to sneak out and find out more.

 

In the middle of the night, Miriam has a visitor - Jacob Dark - and he quickly puts her under his spell once more.

"I have a task for you, my dear", he says as she tilts her neck towards him.

 

After satisfying his thirst, Jacob whispers his orders into her ear. When she collapses on the floor, he chuckles - before transforming into mist and disappearing from the house.

Katrina is starting to relax. Gina has not been seen since Jacques' death, and things seem to have calmed down in the Villareal mansion. Her and Max are helping each other take care of the three toddlers - and are determined to change to Villareal legacy.

Samuel comes over with a book of notes.

"I've written down all I've figured out so far", he says. "You should read through it, see if you can connect some dots - and then come see me."

"I shall", Katrina agrees.

 

Over the coming days, she goes through Samuel's notes four times - but finds nothing that can help her. Eventually she puts the book aside and focuses on helping Max - he is about to take his final exams. Soon, he will be graduating.

"Have you been thinking about what you want to do later?" Katrina asks.

 

"I'm thinking of applying to university", Max replies. Katrina gasps, then hugs him tight.

"Oh, that would be amazing! What do you wish to study?"

"Engineering sounds fun", Max replies, "but I don't know."

 

Secretly, though, Max has been focusing so hard on his studies because he wants to join Elsa at university. As she has already completed the exams, she has been on a gap year.

"I'm so glad you're thinking of applying", she says as they meet up. "But... I might not be there right away."

"Why not?" Max asks.

"Something happened to my stepfather's family - in Sulani. Mum's going there and has invited me along, and there's a big conservation project going on there that I can join..."

 

While Max is off to school the next day, the door to the mansion suddenly opens - and Gina walks in, heavily pregnant.

 

"Gina!" Katrina gasps.

"I'm home", Gina says, her voice colder than it used to be. "I shall raise my beloved's heirs in our house - and enact my revenge on his killer."

 

When Gina goes upstairs to sleep, Katrina calls Samuel.

"She's back. It's worse than we thought."

"We'll figure out how to cure her", Samuel promises.

 

Gina, meanwhile, dreams of seeing her beloved's spirit.

I shall avenge you, my love.

Question is if it is truly a dream - or if Jacques' ghost is now residing in the house.

The Vatore Household

 

On a cloudy autumn night, Vladislaus Straud gathered the strongest of the vampire kind in his mansion. There, he put forth a plan to rid the world of its otherworldly invaders.

"Before their arrival, we were the ones owning the humans. Now, they are taking those most suceptible away, hiding them from the world. Our powers are stronger - but we cannot move in the sun like them, or walk into their homes uninvited. We are fewer, but that we can easily redeem."

He then issued what was a command in his creations and an order from a powerful vampire in others: to go out and double their numbers by the time the clock struck twelve on New Year's Eve.

 

Back in their own home, the Vatore siblings discussed what to do. For Lilith, it was a command - an order from her creator - but for Caleb it was simply an order. And he had never bothered that much with the doings of powerful vampires before.

"Let's just go into San Myshuno and look about", Lilith suggested. "You don't have to change anyone - but I do."

They spent several nights in San Myshuno, acting like humans once more. At times, the Vatores did consider searching for the mythical vampire cure - but then they found some other benefit of being a vampire and stopped.

It was on their third night there that Caleb spotted a woman in work-out clothes, most likely heading to or from the gym - and he found himself watching her intently. Two nights later, he spotted her again - and then two nights later once more. This time, he pulled Lilith with him and headed up to talk to the woman.

"Hi, I'm Caleb!"

"Hello", she said, smiling at him. "I'm Hannah."

 

Caleb ended up seeing Hannah several nights in a row, while Lilith tried to avoid turning anyone who was not willing. And finding someone willing was... not exactly easy. Nor was walking up to them and actually saying "hey, I'm a vampire, want to join me in the life of the undead?"

"How about I ask Hannah?" Caleb suggested.

"Really? You think she would turn into a vampire, just like that?"

"Yeah. I... I think she might be my mate. And, if she is, I might not have to turn anyone. Mates have an easier time having vampire children, after all."

 

Still doubting that this would work, Lilith still agreed to turning Hannah if Caleb managed to ask her - and if she said yes. Thus, Caleb invited Hannah over to their home.

He was surprised, however, to see a woman accompanying her.

"This is my wife, Kyra", Hannah explained.

 

"What did you do?" Lilith asked when she found Kyra mesmerized at the top of the stairs, Hannah at the bottom of them.

"I panicked", Caleb replied. Lilith groaned, but she was not surprised. Her brother always ended up causing a bit of trouble.

Turning towards Kyra, she frowned. Somehow, her mind seemed to be too messed up to simply be caused by her brother.

"Caleb", she said, "I think this one has been manipulated before."

"By an alien?" Caleb asked.

"No. I think she has been manipulated by an incubus."

 

The siblings looked from the two humans to each other - and came to a joint conclusion. This time, they would not ask for permission - not if an incubus had been involved before.

At the same time, Caleb bit into Hannah's neck, and Lilith bit into Kyra's.

 

Three nights later, the two women turned. Kyra seemed like she was waking up from a nightmare - just to find another nightmare.

 

Hannah, however, seemed to take to her new life easily. As if she was meant to be a vampire all along. Caleb took her on her on a tour of the Forgotten Hollow, showing her where to pick plasma fruits to avoid drinking human blood.

 

"You've been so sweet to me, Caleb", Hannah said as they got back to the house. "I think I'll enjoy living here, with you and Kyra and Lilith."

"I'm glad", Caleb said. Hannah stepped closer, smiling at him.

"Especially", she said, "living with you."

 

He pulled her in for a kiss - and she tugged on him equally. Their clothes ripped as they desperately clung to one another.

 

Caleb groaned as he pushed into Hannah's waiting heat. He was all too certain now that Hannah was, indeed, his mate.

Hannah, meanwhile, smiled to herself. She had always been jealous of Wolfgang's abilities - but as a vampire, she would be even more powerful. And she intended to make her undying life the best it could possibly be.

The Presley Household

 

It is the weekend in the Presley household - and Felicity is spending some quality time with her youngest daughter, Melody.

 

Downstairs, Abigail is busy reading up on medical studies. She has been working extra shifts at the hospital, just to get the experience she needs faster. Nina, meanwhile, is taking it easy in front of the TV.

At least that is what she is doing until Mike approaches her.

"I have a client for you", he tells her softly. "Get ready - he will meet you downstairs, by the private seating areas."

"Seriously?" Nina sighs. "Can't I get one day off?"

"You're making money, are you not?" Mike says with a smile - the kind of smile that Nina just cannot resist. Fuck, if her mother had not married Mike, she would probably have convinced him to run off with her.

She is truly falling for him.

 

Not wanting to disappoint Mike, Nina gets dressed and heads downstairs. According to Mike, her client will be wearing a yellow jacket. As no one is around wearing that, Nina decides to take a few calming drags from the water pipe. She has felt the need to do that more and more often before seeing a client.

 

By the time the client shows up, Nina is able to get into full "flirt and tease"-mode, shutting away her annoyed thoughts of the her only getting old, ugly, lonely men.

 

I should just leave, she thinks while riding him. Head off somewhere, start my own life. Maybe I could be a model? Or a movie star?

 

Back home, Mike is trying to get on better with Abigail. Nina's twin sister has never trusted him, the way Nina has come to do - and he has become obsessed with the thought of making her his. Thus, he starts off by helping her in the kitchen, and with her studies.

"Don't overwork yourself", Mike tells her. "You're still young - and you're talented. You will become a brilliant doctor."

Abigail huffs - and turns around to focus on the food. There is something fishy about Mike.

 

On her way back from seeing the client off, Nina spots a woman that she had previously only seen on the big screen.

"Miss Ross!" she gasps. The famous actress turns around to look at her.

"Yes?"

"Oh, Miss Ross, I can't believe it! I'm such a big fan! Can I have your autograph?"

"Of course, dear", Angela Ross says. "But, please, call me Angela."

She writes her name on a piece of paper she pulls from her wallet and hands it to Nina.

 

Back home, Nina excitedly tells her family about her meeting with Angela Ross.

"That's wonderful, dear", Felicity says, clearly not listening that much to what is being said. "Elias, don't play with your food!"

 

While the girls are getting ready for bed, Abigail asks Nina to sit down for a talk.

"Nina, I'm worried about Mike?"

"About Mike?" Nina says. "What for?"

"I don't know. He seems... fishy."

Nina laughs.

"Sis, I think you've been working too hard. Mike's never done anything but be a good stepfather to us."

Abigail purses her lips. She is not so certain.

"Just get some sleep, Abigail", Nina says and gets up to go to the bathroom. "You need it."

 

While trying to sleep, Abigail begins to wonder what is taking Nina so long. A quick glance at the clock on her nightstand tells her that it has been at least thirty minutes since she left. Sighing, Abigail throws back the covers and heads out, intending to make sure her sister is alright.

Outside the bedroom, however, she freezes. There is Nina - naked as the day she was born - and she is having sex with their stepfather!

"Good girl, Nina", Mike says, running his hands along her hips. Nina moans and presses back against him.

 

I knew something was going on! Abigail thinks, before quietly slipping back inside their shared bedroom. She needs to get away from here. Tomorrow, at work, she will see about going to stay with one of her co-workers. Then she will find a way to get Nina away from here as well.

 

When Nina gets back to the room, Abigail has pulled the covers over her head to hide the fact that she is awake. Nina does not notice; she simply slips into her own bed and quickly falls asleep. Abigail pushes her own duvet down and looks at her sister, until she gets too tired to keep her eyes open and falls asleep as well.

 

Not long after that, Mike slips into the room. Seeing Abigail partly on top of the covers makes him lick his lips. He lets his trousers fall to the floor and pumps his cock with his hand while watching the sleeping girl.

Damn, he wants her. He cannot wait for her to accept him - he needs to take her and make her his.

 

He sleeps restlessly that night, trying to figure out a way to get Abigail - and not lose Nina. Imagine showing up at his new club with a pair of gorgeous twins to please him!

 

In the morning, he sits down to make a few business calls to Riccarde Abbelli. After a while, Riccarde asks him what is wrong.

When the package gets delivered, Mike reads through the instructions - and a plan forms in his head. He makes a few more calls to various people - and then gets a full night's sleep.

In the morning, only him and Nina remain at home - which is perfect, as he has a client for Nina. He escorts her to the nearby gym and lets her introduce herself to a man named Neal Alexander.

 

Mike watches from afar as Nina and Neal have sex. After he is done, he pays and leaves - at which point Mike walks up to Nina.

 

"What did you think of him?" he asks. Nina frowns.

"Do I have to have an opinion? He's a client, isn't he?"
"I thought he could be more", Mike replies. "Mr Alexander has... expressed an interest in you."

Nina blinks.

"Are you saying you've fucking sold me?"

 

Mike grabs her and tugs her in behind the public bathrooms once more. In a flash, he has pulled both of their trousers off and pressed into her.

"You work for me", he growls as he thrusts, "and you obey me. So yes, I own you - and I can sell you."

He thrusts harder, faster, and Nina whimpers.

"Please", she whispers.

"After we're done here", Mike growls, "I want you to go home, take a shower, and put yourself together. When Neal Alexander comes by, I want you to be ready to be his."

He spills deeply inside of her. Once he is done, he pulls away and leaves.

 

After taking a trip to the club - that is currently undergoing renovations - Mike calls Neal and asks him to come by to finish the deal they set up. Neal is not exactly his business partner, but the man has... tastes that are not for everyone. In fact, he is looking for a second wife - and as Mike needs Nina out of the house for what is to come, he suggested the girl to Neal. As long as Neal lets Nina keep working clients for Mike.

 

The two are seated out on the balcony when Nina arrives - fully put together and with a perfect, teasing smile on her lips. Neal grins at the sight.

"Hello, Neal", she says, her voice husky. Mike stands up.

"I'll leave you two alone for a bit."

 

He gives them fifteen minutes, before he walks back out - and sees the two locked in a passionate embrace. He clears his throat, and the couple parts.

"I hope it's alright for me to take Nina out for dinner tonight", Neal says, still holding on to Nina's hand. Mike sees her smile quiver a bit; she certainly is not sure about all of this. Mike smiles.

"Of course."

 

Neal brings them to a restaurant in Del Sol Valley - and treats Nina to anything she wants. At first, she struggles to keep up appearances. Why did Mike to this to her? Was Abigail right?

But then, she starts to relax. Honestly, Neal is not that bad - and she can still see Mike whenever she wants, judging by Neal's vivid description of his busy work life.

And she had thought of leaving for a bit...

 

Back home, Abigail has just returned from a busy shift at the hospital. Mike approaches her with a gift.

"It's tea", he says. "I thought you might need something soothing after this stressful day of yours."

Abigail accepts the gift, albeit hesitantly.

 

Mike then goes to help Elias with his homework - and to say goodbye to Felicity. She is leaving on a short work trip and her flight departs later that evening.

"If I'm successful, I should be back in two days", Felicity says. "Otherwise, give me three."

"I know", Mike says with a chuckle and kisses her on the cheek. "You always get the deal done, love. Give yourself some credit; I'll see you in two days' time."

 

Upstairs, Abigail is tucking Melody into bed. It is usually her task - Felicity and Mike never give the girl much love in the evening.

 

Heading to the kitchen, she sees the gift Mike gave her - the tea. She studies it for a while before making herself a cup. It smells of ginger - her favourite - and she drinks the cup's contents while heading back to her bedroom.

 

Blinking slowly, she frowns at the big bed. This is not her room... but she is so tired, and that bed...

Abigail lies down on it and falls asleep, while the EnthrallME drug that was part of the tea takes hold of her body.

 

After seeing Elias to bed, Mike walks into his and Felicity's bedroom - and grins at the sight that greets him. Abigail, asleep on the bed, with an empty tea cup next to it.

 

He undresses them both from the waist down, then presses slowly inside of her. Even asleep, she arches up to meet him, moaning softly as he starts to move.

"Hello, love", he murmurs as he continues his slow thrusting. "This is a nice way to wake up, isn't it? With me inside of you?"

"Mhm", Abigail sighs.

 

He pulls out of her, and Abigail blinks her eyes open. She looks dazed, but sighs happily at the sight of him.

"It's you", she whispers.

"Yes. It always will be. You will never love anyone but me, after all, will you?"

Abigail shakes her head.

"No. I won't."

Mike chuckles and get off the bed.

"Then let's have some fun tonight. Just you and I."

 

Abigail follows him to a nearby chair, which he sits down in. She sits next to him on the floor, resting her head on his knee.

"Good girl", he says, running a hand through her hair. "Now, let us make sure that you know what pleases me. What should you call me?"

Abigail looks up at him.

"Daddy."

Mike grins.

"Exactly. Good girl."

Abigail shivers, then lets herself be tugged until she sits between his knees. With his guidance, her mouth closes over his cock. He lets her suck him for a few turns before he pulls her back.

"We have all night. And I want to spend most of it inside of you - so that you never forget what you love."

"Yes, Daddy."

 

Some time later, downstairs, Neal and Nina arrive back home, giggling like naughty teenagers.

"Really?" Nina says. Neal smiles, then lifts both of her hands to his. On one finger sits a new diamond ring.

Octavia recently gave birth to twins - and, as celebrities, they could not name these two just anything. Meet Knight and Dia!

 

Orange is not sure what he thinks of his new siblings. Mostly because he is busy trying to get a modelling agency to notice him. A bit of practice every day should do it - though his name alone will certainly get him a few gigs.

 

And, besides, he does not have that much time to practice. He has a girlfriend to please and spoil!

The best thing about Kyra Lothario is that she trusts him in all that he does. Most of the time that she stays with him, they spend in his bed. Unable to contain her excitement, Octavia runs down to tell Thorne - and finds him fucking one of the women from the picture she saw. Actress Vanessa Chambers.

"Thorne!" Octavia exclaims. The couple looks up, then slowly cleans themselves off and gets dressed. Vanessa offers Octavia a smile before she leaves.

 

"What the hell are you doing?" Octavia yells once the door closes. Thorne huffs.

"What am I doing? As if you have not done anything."

"What? What are you talking about?"

"Octavia", Thorne says, in the way someone might speak to a child, "we've had our time, but we have... drifted apart. I know you've been seeing other men - you cannot fault me for seeing a few girls in turn. Especially since I might actually be able to keep one of them to myself."

"How dare you?" Octavia gasps. "Get out. Out! Now!"

 

After Thorne leaves, Octavia does the first thing she can come up with: she calls Don and asks him out to dinner. He accepts - and when she tells him of her upcoming star ceremony, he seems genuinly happy.

 

As they have some fun in the bathroom before leaving the restaurant, Octavia wonders if perhaps she could ask Don to come live with her - to divorce Thalia and make things official. He never seemed too happy being married to her, after all.

 

The next morning, she has made up her mind. She calls Don and asks him to come over for a chat. While they wait, Octavia spends some time with her and Don's daughter - Lauryn. Surely, little Lauryn might convince him to stay?

 

"Don", Octavia greets him, "I... I have something to confess."

"What is it?" Don asks.

"I... I think I'm in love with you. And I want you to come live with me - with me and Lauryn. I think we could be a wonderful family."

 

Shocked, she sees Don's smile fall. He sighs.

"Octavia", he says, "I'm sorry. But I cannot do that. It wouldn't be right - since I'm not in love with you."

 

At the same time, Thorne has checked out of the hotel he stayed in overnight and headed over to Vanessa's house.

 

She greets him with a smile and brings him out to the back.

"Vanessa", he says, "I intend to divorce Octavia - and I want you to marry me instead. I think we suit one another."

"Is that a proposal?" Vanessa says with a laugh.

"Not quite that romantic, but I intend for our wedding to be. The grandest wedding you have ever seen, in fact. And, after it is done, we shall live together in the mansion I have already commissioned in the Pinnacles."

 

"Well", Vanessa says and scoots closer, "how can I resist such a tempting offer?"

Thorne grins, then leans in and claims her lips. With no regard for neighbors, paparazzis or anyone else, they fuck one another out on that couch.

"There's one more thing you should know", Vanessa whispers against his lips once they are resting in each other's bare arms.

"What?" Thorne asks.

"I'm pregnant."

The Pancakes-Mireles Household

 

Things are awkward in the Willow Creek household. Bob has not had the heart to ask Hayley to leave after her rejection of his proposal - and Hayley does not have the courage to simply pack up and go. So they still live under the same roof - albeit hardly speaking.

 

Bob has even put in an extra bed upstairs, giving Hayley the master bedroom. All to keep the two of them from running into one another too often.

 

This arrangement has, however, made the house's five children (not counting toddler Felipe) quite annoyed. What is wrong with adults? Why can they just not talk to one another?

"War council time!" Madelynn hisses one day after they have finished their homeworks. All children quickly run out into the backyard, to a stone circle around a small campfire. There, they plan how to get their parents back together.

But while the children spend their afternoons planning and sneaking about, their parents have actually, slowly, started to talk again. It was what brought them together; their ability to talk to one another, about anything.

 

And, just like before, that eventually leads to attraction. To love. And - in Hayley's opinion - safety. She cannot stop thinking of Victor, but with him, she would never have a loving home. Bob can provide her with that.

Perhaps she was too harsh with him before.

 

One evening, all the children refuse to remove their outerwear for dinner.

"We want to show you something in the backyard", Madelynn says, bouncing on her chair. "Getting out of these clothes will just make a mess! You don't like messes, do you?"

 

Deciding to indulge in their children's wishes, Bob and Hayley agree to go outside.

"Wait!" Olive and Luna shout at the same time, as the adults move to the door to the backyard.

"You two need to change", Thomas says. "You need fine clothes. Dresses and suits and such."

Bob and Hayley look at one another, then went to get changed. By the time they returned, the children were already outside - next to a wedding arch.

"We want to be a family", Clyde says, "so we made this for you."

 

Bob and Hayley look at one another.

"Should we..." Bob starts. Hayley interrupts him with a kiss.

"Yes", she whispers. The children all cheer as the adults conduct a quick ceremony - which they know they will have to re-do in front of a state official someday soon - and Madelynn is eventually the one to shout:

"I now pronounce you husband and wife - now kiss!"

 

As Bob has work that night, however, their wedding night will have to wait.

 

Hayley is not too sad about that. She makes sure the five little troublemakers go to bed upstairs, then helps Felipe with his evening potty. After putting him to bed with a bedtime story, her phone lights up with a text.

Most of the time, however, Damien is busy with work. He has scored better and better roles lately - and his role as the captain of a pirate ship in a major TV-show has made him extremely popular among the masses.

Second; another acting gig, this time as the main character in a highly anticipated romance movie.

Back in the apartment, Yuki gets a message from Damien saying that he will be home late. She lets out a breath of relief. Perhaps tonight she can actually focus on herself and the children, instead of stressing about when Damien is going to drag her into the bedroom.

Meanwhile, Damien has arrived at Angela Ross' penthouse apartment. The two swiftly hit it off, discussing much of their previous work before even unpacking the movie script.

 

Rehearsing goes easy as well. Perhaps this was what the casting director saw as well; they have chemistry. The movie will certainly be a hit.

 

"You know", Angela says after they have a bite to eat, "there's a sex scene as well."

The Starlight Accolades happens the weekend after that. Damien and Angela find themselves rushed in, far earlier than all the others. A press manager explains that, since they arrived together, people now want them to talk all about their movie - and a time for that has been set out for them later.

"Therefore, you'll have some time now to grab drinks and snacks, before the show", the man explains, before hurrying off again.

 

They do as he asks, until the rest of the group starts to file in. They greet a few of the other actors before finding their seats - only Damien hears his name called shortly after.

He has just won the award for best actor in a TV-show!

As he steps up to accept the trophy, he hardly knows what to say. Eventually, he goes for the standard.

"I'd like to thank my wife and children, for always supporting me. I'd also like to thank my co-star in my upcoming project, Angela Ross, for being here with me tonight."

 

After the press and interviews about their new movie - and his award - it is finally time for the party. Damien finds himself dancing with Angela more often than not - and closer every time. Eventually, she gives him a coy smile and tugs him along up the stairs, to a private lounge area.

Breanna and Scarlett have continued to tease Terry McCabe at every possible moment they can find. Honestly, it just never gets boring! Not even the adults seem to mind!

"We have to end this", she says. "You need to see someone about your problems - and I need to get back to my family. To being their mother. Not..."

"What?" Malcolm roars and stands up. "How dare you?"

 

Before Candy can rise as well, Malcolm has slapped her hard across the face. He does it again - and again. She falls from the chair to the floor, trying to shield herself.

Dominic's quick response to the question does come mainly from being late. He is bringing the toddlers - Jace and Ella - to the park for a playdate with Jenna's toddler, Brandy.

"Nah. They'd find out - they're friends with my scout leader."

 

After the kids have all gone off to school and pre-school the next day, and Joaquin is off to a meeting with his label, Jade is out in the lemon tree garden.

Dinner is eaten in complete silence. Malachi finishes first and sends a quick text to Lee.

Can you get me out of here?

Sure, Lee replies a moment later. A couple minutes later, Victor gets a phone call.

"It was your friend", he says to Malachi, his voice harsh. "He says you forgot to finish your project."

"Oh", Malachi says. "Well, I... I'll go do that now."

Victor nods a sharp nod - and Malachi hurries out of the apartment.

 

He meets up with Lee in Del Sol Valley and the two spend the rest of the evening talking, walking about and visiting the Walk Of Fame.

It is the best evening in Malachi's life.

 

"Where do you get piercings?" Malachi eventually asks.

"There's a shop down the street", Lee replies and points. "Are you thinking of getting some?"

"Yes. My father will probably hate me, but... I like how they look on you."

Lee smiles, then steps closer to him. Malachi's breath hitches.

"I'd like to see them on you, too", Lee says, then brushes his mouth against Malachi's.

 

Victor and Lily have gone to bed when Malachi gets back home. At least for tonight, they managed to sleep in the same bed. Malachi doubts that will last. He locks the door to his room and pulls out the clothes Lee borrowed him, pulling them on and trying not to touch the sensitive new piercing on his ears.

 

He looks like a different person. Good different.

His parents will certainly not approve, but he will deal with that later. He is finally starting to understand who he is.

And he has Lee to back him up if things get difficult.

The Landgraab Household (Nancy Landgraab)

 

The house feels empty now that it is just Nancy and Nelson living there. But, considering what happened with Jackson, Nancy prefers it that way. She is in no hurry to find herself a new man.

 

Nelson is doing alright as well - but, in school, he has noticed that Claire, his brother's daughter, has looked quite down. He wonders if it is because of her mother's death or something else.

Maybe he can convince Nancy to let his nieces and nephew come live with them for a while.

Back home, he has to deal with Tina - his babysitter. Nancy hires that girl whenever she has to go away on business trips and Nelson hates her.

He would much rather go stay with his father in San Myshuno - but he doubts Nancy would ever allow that.

 

Nancy's "business meeting" this night is simply some fun time down at the bar. She might not be looking for love, but she sees no point in staying at home and being a reclusive single mother.

 

Tonight, a newcomer in town catches her eye. He introduces himself as Greyheart - his last name.

"My first name is quite the embarrasment", he says with a smile. "Most people just call me Grey."

 

They end up moving to the secluded fire pit to talk. Grey's company is enjoyable, but when Nancy opens her mouth to tell him she has to leave...

"Not quite yet, my dear", Taurus Greyheart says while using his psychic powers to take control of her mind.

 

Nancy sluggishly rises and starts to undress. Once she is naked, she kneels on the couch and waits for his inspection. He pushes two fingers inside of her and uses his powers to sense even further inside her body.

"A good, fit body", he comments. "Shame you had that surgery done. But no matter; there are other ways to get what I need from you."

He pulls out and wipes his fingers off on an embroidered handkerchief. Nancy remains kneeling until he gives her his next command.

"Get dressed, go home and dream of me."

 

When Nancy jawns awake the next morning, she cannot help but smile at her silly mind. She had dreamed of Grey - as if she wanted to spend more time with him.

 

After helping Nelson get ready for school, she does a few laps in the pool, trying to shake the beating of her heart whenever her mind drifts back to Grey. She had decided she would not find herself another man.

But Grey...

"Miss Landgraab!"

 

Nancy spins around in the water and sees Grey approaching with a smile. She quickly gets out of the water.

"What are you doing here?" she asks.

"I came to see if you were available for dinner tonight."

Nancy feels her heart skip a beat.

"Dinner? Tonight?"

"Yes."

Nancy hesitates. Then, she slowly nods.

"I can make that work."

 

Dinner with Grey is the best night out Nancy has had in years. Not even Jackson spoiled her like this.

She thinks she might actually be in love with this man.

 

"Nancy", he says as they head out of the restaurant, "I cannot stop thinking about you."

"And I cannot stop thinking about you", Nancy admits. Grey steps closer to her.

"Then why don't we just see where this goes? We're not getting any younger."

Nancy hesitates - but then Grey is kissing her, softly, and all of her previous arguments go out the window.

"I have to talk to my son", she whispers as they part. Grey nods.

"Of course."

 

Nancy tells Nelson about Grey the next morning.

"He will be a perfect step-dad to you."

"Why?" Nelson asks.

"He is a good man."

 

Nelson does not like the idea of a stepdad - and decides that he has had enough. He calls Jackson.

"I want to come live with you", he says when Jackson picks up.

"Nelson", Jackson says, "that's not a good idea."

"Yes, it is!"

"No. You stay with Nancy. I don't have time for you."

 

Nelson is sad and angry all through the day - but Nancy hardly seems to notice. She goes to bed with a smile on her face.

"Wake up."

Grey's voice makes her eyes snap open. Her mind is blank as she stands up. He smiles.

"Come along", he orders.

 

He leads the way down to the basement where he has secretly been staying during the past few weeks. Neither Nancy or Nelson noticed, of course; his powers kept them from even considering going down there and see his little workshop.

He sheds his disguise as they walk in through the door, which helps strengthening his hold of Nancy's mind. He hardly needs to give the command before she starts to undress.

 

She steps inside the waiting glass case and a black helmet with red lights sink down onto her head. Her eyes change to match it.

 

Grey studies the data he gets from the helmet on a computer screen. He adds a few changes, editing, removing and adding memories. All of the standard necessities when getting a new pet.

Of course, he has bigger plans for Nancy Landgraab than simply keeping her as a pet.

 

After finishing his commands, he walks over to the glass case and uses the full force of his powers on it and Nancy. The glass glows in response, a sensor scanning Nancy and taking samples through the helmet.

Soon, the tubes at the back of the lab begins to bubble.

 

An alien girl steps out of one of the tubes. Grey smiles at her.

"Welcome, daughter."

"Hello, father", she replies. He opens the glass coffin with a hand gesture and Nancy steps out, slowly dressing again. The helmet stays on.

"Meet your mother", Grey says and steps aside to let the alien girl walk up to Nancy.

 

As she stands in front of Nancy, she puts on her disguise. Her eyes are mismatched, her right a strange shade of purple.

"Hello, mother", she says.

"Hello", Nancy breathes. The girl grins and looks at Grey for approval.

"She will officially join us soon", he tells her. "For now, this is enough."

He commands Nancy up to her bed again, the helmet dissolving as she walks. He locks the door behind her and escorts his daughter - made out of his and Nancy's genetic material - to the next room.

"Your name here", he tells her, "is Talitha. I want you to befriend your new step-brother."

 

After Nelson leaves for school the next day, there is a knock on the door. When Nancy opens, she smiles widely as she sees that it is Grey.

"I missed you", she says.

"I missed you, too", he says, "which is why I decided this could not wait."

He drops to a knee in front of her and pulls out a ring.

"Nancy Landgraab, will you marry me?"

Nancy feels like crying from happiness. She nods.

"Yes."

The Singer Household

 

The house belonging to Izaiah Singer and Mariko Sasaki is, nowadays, always covered in garlic. People have started to avoid it, thinking that they have gone insane.

 

Inside the house, things are not much better. Mariko still cannot get over the fact that Izaiah kept his past as a vampire hunter hidden from her. It seems like such a vital thing to tell people - even if most might think that is an insane notion, as vampires are thought not to exist.

But she misses when things were easier between them. She misses him.

She still loves him.

Meanwhile, Jazmine has some love trouble of her own. She has developed a crush on one of the boys a year ahead of her - Zion Pizzazz. And they have been paired up to work on a project together.

When he arrives at her house, Jazmine is nervous he will turn away at once, seeing all the garlic. But Zion just smiles his usual smile and follows her inside.

 

As they work, Jazmine slowly manages to open up a bit to Zion. He tells her about his large family and she tells him about growing up hidden. Before he leaves, she wonders if she should have said something about her crush on him.

But she thinks he would have just smiled and left, leaving her with no answer as to if her feelings are reciprocated.

 

The next day, Mariko approaches Izaiah for the first time in he does not know how long.

"We need to talk", she says. "Come with me to the river?"

 

He agrees. As they stand by the river, Mariko takes his hands.

"I... I understand why you did not tell me. About the vampire hunting. But... I want you to teach me."

"Are you sure?" Izaiah asks. Mariko nods.

"Yes. I want to learn - if they decide to come after me again."

 

She draws a deep breath.

"Also... there was one more thing."

She sinks down onto one knee. Izaiah's eyes widen in surprise.

"Izaiah Singer", Mariko says, "will you marry me?"

He stares at her open-mouthed before he realizes he should answer.

"Yes."

 

That night, they sleep in the same bed again, beneath a wreath of garlic. A strange way to start an engagement, but for a vampire hunter it is probably fitting.

The Houlihan-Beck Household

After seeing Danielle's apartment, Marcel made up his mind and moved in with her, acting as the perfect, loving boyfriend.

 

Of course, as she also seems to be the "perfect loving girlfriend", he can spend most of his time doing whatever he wants. He gave Hugo full control of the restaurant and now only does a bit of freelance work. Mostly, he plays video games.

Danielle is the one who always cooks for them.

Marcel also spends a lot of time out at bars, flirting with other women. He might act as the perfect boyfriend, but he is far from it; he is young, there is no point in settling for one woman!

Recently, he met a woman calling herself Ginny Kyron, whom he finds incredibly intriguing.

 

However, just as he is suggesting they take things somewhere a bit more private, another woman shows up. Famous actress Angela Ross.

Marcel puts on his best charmer face and suggests that the three of them head off together.

 

This time, his charm worked.

 

The trio spend some hours together in the private room he paid a bit too much for. Marcel grins as he comes for a second time; he seriously cannot imagine living any other life than this, that of a man who can have whatever girl he wants.

 

That, of course, includes Danielle - and the moment he gets home, he is her perfect boyfriend, showering her with attention. He always brings home flowers for her and compliments her food, her clothes, her ways in bed...

 

However, the next morning, Danielle discovers something exciting.

 

"Marcel", she says, coming back into the bedroom with a wide smile on her lips, "guess what?"

"What?" he asks. "I'm terrible at guessing."

"I'm pregnant!"

 

Danielle is extatic, sending texts to everyone they know about her and Marcel becoming parents. She does not notice Marcel's look behind her back.

A baby with Danielle?

Unlike when Ritu and Carlee had his children, he doubts he can get out of this one as easily.

This baby will tie him to Danielle - and keep him from continuing his quest to sleep with every woman he meets.

The Villareal-Padilla Household

 

Declan is moving up. He has been assigned more and more cases, and people seem to feel safe whenever he is assigned to help them.

 

This day begins with him taking a report from a woman claiming that presidential candidate Victor Feng's wife has returned after being missing for a while - and that she suspects that Lily Feng is trying to get something from Victor.

"I'll see what I can do", Declan promises, before he gets a call. He is needed on scene of a burglary in Oasis Springs.

Declan and his team search the house for clues as to what was stolen and who did it. A group of people have gathered outside, as always when there are police nearby. When Declan goes out to talk to them, a little girl dressed in clothes that do not seem appropriate for the season runs up to him.

"Hi, Officer Padilla!"

He waves back with a smile.

"Hello. What's your name?"

"Rebecca Ericsen."

"Shouldn't you be at school, Rebecca?"

"Nope."

 

Declan cannot stop thinking about the little girl. Something seemed off about her. Using whatever tools he has as a police officer, he tries to track her down.

She is an orphan, living in a foster home with four other children in Oasis Springs.

He tells Hugo about it that night - and even suggests they try to take her in.

"She seemed to be a nice child. It's just that the foster parents are unable to keep track of where she is at."

Hugo seems skeptical.

"I don't know. There's so much to do at the restaurant - and you have a lot to do at the station. What if we end up doing the same thing?"

 

They leave the topic be for the night.

The next day, Hugo makes sure to head to the restaurant early. There is a food critic coming around.

 

Hugo makes sure that everyone in the restaurant is getting served on time and get treated to a bit of extra food. He knows the critic will not just look at what he gets.

An hour or so after the critic leaves, he gets a notification on the phone. The review is already up - and the critic has bumped them up to 3 stars!

 

Hugo is overjoyed as he gets home and tells Declan the news. Finally things will start to get easier with the restaurant!

"Maybe we should try to let Rebecca stay here", he says. Declan kisses him.

"I agree."

 

Declan calls the foster parents at once, asking them to bring the girl around.

 

Rebecca is all smiles as she arrives. Declan and Hugo show her her room - which is Marcel's old room and has not been changed much since he left. They promise she will get to decide what should go in it instead.

"And tomorrow, we'll take you out on a shopping trip", Declan promises.

 

A woman watches the lights turn off in the apartment, a sad smile on her face. She has been there since Rebecca's former foster parents arrived.

"Take care of her", she says, before catching a train to the airport.

 

The woman returns to her home in Sulani, hoping that her daughter will finally have a safe home. And that she will not discover her true heritage.
