Yundao HDT Hair not Showing Right Textures for Follower

Hello, everyone. So I've been working on a standalone follower and got permission from realclone to use the blonde "tiantian" hairstyle in it. I've set up the XML to be standalone and the textures are edited in nifskope, but in game, the wig shows up as black/brown. I didn't use the default mesh (tian), but the "tianw" one. So I don't understand. I've messaged them about it, but there may have been some difficulty with understanding for them since I'm 99% sure we aren't both native English speakers.

Oh, well. Can anyone tell me what could be wrong?
Here's the link to the mod by the way. If someone can tell me how to get it to look correctly on a STANDALONE follower mod (without just using AddItemMenu and sticking it on), that would be amazing and I'll give a shout out to you (without a direct link to LoversLab, of course), on the Nexus on my mod page. :) I'd... Give cookies, but unfortunately cannot send any. :[

Thank you very much! (^_^)

Here is the hair mod in question.

NPC do not support HDT (whether PE or SMP) as hair.

Only as a wig/helmet - but should be with slot for hair  (31) in CK and in the NIF.

As far as the hair color is concerned, look in Nifskope if the ShaderType is chosen as Hairtint and in ShaderFlags the corresponding settings.

Right. That's what I meant. :) Um... Sorry, but can you tell me where to find that? I'm still kinda new to NifSkope. I pretty much only know how to rename texture paths, disable normals, and remove parts.

These are typical shader settings for hair.
I marked the most important ones in red.

The blue arrow is the base hair color, which is rendered in the CK as a preview. This color (and color of diffuse map) is also used if the selected hair color does not work - can be like this with wig.

PS:

Have some tests done. So HDT hair for NPC's works.
But you need your own race, BodyParts inclusive Hair and Headpart with an empty Hair part.
But - coloration does not work. Coloring is only effective on Hair in Head Part - and HDT is invalid as hair.
So it is really NOT recommended.

For coloration of wigs use the Nif (blue arrow) - must be made in all available hair pieces.

The only valid way to use HDT hair for NPC (with coloration) is the extension of the skeleton (eg xpmse) with generally useful bones for hair - but I'm too lazy for that.

Then you would not have to create bones for rigging hair.

Aaw... Alright, then. That's a little too complicated-sounding for this noob. Thanks for explaining though. (^_^)
