Just for future reference, try not to ask permission in the public comments like that. Send them a private message, and have a conversation privately. Skittles has been pretty cool with Sexbound, so no real harm this time around. This isn't something that most creators like seeing in their comments, but are generally fine with it as long as it's more discreet.

 

Also, are you referring to the "Fragments of Ruin" race? If it's that one, we already have permission for it. Ironically, that author is also someone that's been supportive of Sexbound for quite a while. It's just that no one's created the support for it yet.

For future reference, if Window Novakid posts another race mod check this thread for me since I AM Window Novakid lmao. It'll save you the time and hassle of asking for permission for something I've already given the okay for.

I might be ancient with Steam (been a lil while I'm on it) ... I don't know how to PM non-friend people ... and some of them made their profile private

I don't believe it's possible to PM a non-friend. You'd have to send a friend request first, and PM them after they accepted it. Some people are picky about who they accept on their friends list, but it doesn't hurt to at least make an attempt first, before resorting to asking in the public comments.

 

It was somewhat lucky this time around that you did post in public comments, since it seems like like you were trying to ask the wrong person and not Window Novakid (CaylePolin), the other individual of which had some pretty strong anti-lewd statements, lol. I can't fault you too much for asking, since there hasn't been a list posted since we got permission that includes the "Fragments of Ruin" race in it. Permission was given on page 10 of this thread though, only a couple pages back, so I won't hold you entirely unaccountable, lol.

My plan is usually to comment on their mod, saying "Hey, i'd like to have a talk with you" or something along those lines with "I've sent you a friend request", that'd make them easier and more willing to accept the request to open communications, unless they clearly state "I don't care what it is, feel free to use my assets, no need to add me", which has happened before...

Normally we ignore unaware/staple permissions, like the ones in the CF forums, or open-asset disclaimers on the mod's page itself. Its always good to at least get the creator aware of what you're asking, but some people generally don't care... In that case, least we can do is screenshot it as "permission proof" and that's about it.

To those who seems that I'm on a hiatus, I'm currently stationed at Thitu Island for monitoring purposes due to a "dispute sea problem" between a country's illegal fishing vessel in addition of a military vessel within our EEZ, I'll probably be there for who knows when until our superior has found a fitting military personel to watch for our place.

Until then, here's my list of the update of supports.

Saturnian(CuterYetMothyRace) = 100% - Donated $3 by: Layla Mauvilla. - Permission Granted by Author - CaylePolin

 

New Supports (Secondary Priority)

Hyena = 18% - Permission Granted - On-Hold from current situation.

Ruin(Mr./Ms. Japanese Pornstar) = 0% - Permission Granted - On-Hold from current situation.

 

Existing Support:

Argonian = 100% - Permission Granted by Author.

Viera = 100% - Requires author's permission/consent for publication.

Elunite = 0% - Requires author's permission/consent for publication.

Everis = 100% - Helped by Banny - Permission Granted

Familiar = 100% - Permission Granted - Rylasasin

Draconis(Half-Breed) = 0% - Requires author's permission/consent.

Lucario = Terminated by request of the Author due to Nintendo problem.

It says at the bottom, "As long as you do not break my mod, you do not need my permission to make any addons for this mod, or to add support for this mod. If you tell me when it's done, I can link to it in my mod's description! You can reuse or modify my mod's assets for your mod, or make alternate versions of this mod as long as you don't break anything. (You are required to change your IDs to something unique!)

Sexbound is an exception for when authors give a broad permission like that. Even if an author gives permission for all their assets and such to be used, they usually do so without considering that their mod could be used for lewd purposes. We've had issues in the past in this aspect, which resulted in some very upset mod authors. So unless they give permission specifically for their mod to get support for erotic content, we have to respect the authors and assume that their broad permission doesn't apply to sex mods.

 

That said, we actually do have permission for the Saturnians race already. I think it was being worked on at one point, but they stopped working on it? It's listed as "On-Going?", but it's been like that for a while. Unless someone knows otherwise, I'd say it's safe for someone else to pick it up if they want to.

It's already given permission to someone, although status is still unknown, and the "I can link to it in my mod's description" seems a bit of an exposure for an adult-content don't you think.

also for Omen Races ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1613774054&searchtext=omen ) but I have tried to contact the mod author by pm and even adding as friend to reply but didnt even get answer, has been like 2 months and still having no answer xP
so Im doubting if that's possible or not XD
but well, I would of loved that race having sexbound support, specially because of someone like me who is into "spooky" looking races xD

We disregard that even it is stated there, just like what happened to the lucario support, even with it being stated "can be used without the authors permission", he requested it to take it down, you can check it on his Steam modpage on the comment section why he ask it to be taken down.

? but it might take some time for me to do all of my supports that I'm currently working on, although in my current condition, getting shot in the arm postpone my working on the supports and have been recovering for 12 days now.

permission from authors, you can see lil.rosie did it and is quite respectful to do, just like rexmeck asking permission from races and dresses to implement in his wardrobe mod.
