Effect and Side Effect CORES

TO INSTALL: Effect cores are bundled in a single zip file, but you should unzip and install them separately. You only need to install the ones you want to use.

These mods contain the code that makes a number of new side effects work in game. They don't apply them to your character--you will need one of the related pills or drugs installed as well.

Effect modules contain reusable mechanics that can be used by more than one pill, drug, or story system.
Effect modules
U666 Effect – Continue
Causes orgasms to extend the duration of the active transformation pill. It also connects Continue-style pills to the shared permanence system.

U666 Effect – Easily Aroused
Increases arousal gained from stimulation.

Causes orgasms to increase femininity, soften the character’s masculine self-image, and sometimes reduce reluctance.

NOTE: The previous versions of Impulsive Flirtation and related files are available for those still using earlier versions of X-Change Life (prior to 0.25)

An "impulsive flirtation" effect was always hinted at in the Ready-Maid demo, and I thought: "What if it could become permanent, like the "Live-in Maid" effect?

This "mod" is the result--well, actually, there are a few mods here, that all revolve around the effect. You can chose the ones you want.

Impulsive Flirtation (Main File)
This is the core side effect mod and effects. In some cases, you'll need to use an Action Point to prevent yourself from flirting, or, when choosing a non-flirty option, you may "forget yourself" and flirt anyway. So far this covers:
Catcalls Coworkers Doing pill demos (making them all more like Ready-Maid, where you're compelled to flirt with the client)

Demoverhaul - ReadyMaid
This started as my demo overhaul for ReadyMaid, but, so far, it only changes how gaining permanent side effects is handled, making them less likely to get picked up (unless you're doing many ReadyMaid demos in rapid succession), and adding the possibility to gain the Impulsive Flirtation side effect, permanently.

DatDude Demo Patch
This patch adds some tweaks to DatDude's Demo Experiments, and should (if memory serves) allow you to pick up the effect from the Pool-Cleaner demo, and have the impulsive flirtation effect cause you to flirt during those demos.

Drug - Flirtatious Femme
This adds the Impulsive Flirtation effect in pill form (including some feminization effects...I think). Requires Drug Framework 2 to work.

Download the "u666 DF4 Drugs - vXXX - UNZIP ME.zip" file and unpack it--it contains all of the drugs. You can pick and choose which ones you want to install. You will need to ALSO download the respective Effect Cores--Drugs apply the effects, but the effects are in the core files. (The mod loader should inform you of which ones are missing.)

All drugs on this page require the current U666 Drug Framework.
The U666 DF4 Spike Drug Registry is only required when a drug needs to participate in supported random-spike systems. It is not required simply to purchase or use the drug normally.

Available drugs
Baby-Bomb™
A two-stage fertility drug. It primes the uterus for seven days, followed by a fourteen-day peak-fertility period. Semen exposure during priming may interfere with the process.
Required effect file: None. Its fertility system is included in the drug mod.
Optional support: Pill Diagnostic Kiosk.

Cock-Up™
Temporarily increases penis size while the user is male. Repeated use can cause headaches, reduced concentration, and post-use size complications.
Required effect file: None.

Confidence™
Gives a female-bodied character a temporary burst of confidence and applies the Exhibitionist side effect when appropriate.
Required effect file: None. It uses XCL’s existing Exhibitionist effect.

Flirtatious Femme®
Temporarily applies Impulsive Flirtation, making flirtatious or provocative thoughts more likely to slip out. Additional doses extend the active course.
Required effect file: None. The temporary effect is included in the drug mod.

Hold-Out™
Suppresses male orgasm and improves staying power. Repeated use can leave the user temporarily unable to climax through masturbation.

LactiFlow™
Maintains lactation and increases milk production while active. It does not directly increase breast sensitivity.

A strong aphrodisiac that applies or deepens Insatiable, causing arousal to return through persistent floors and periodic surges. Repeated exposure can leave lingering conditioning.
Required effect file: U666 Effect – Insatiable.

Sexual Overdrive™
Increases genital sensitivity and makes orgasm easier and more intense. Repeated abuse can create longer-lasting or permanent complications.
Required effect file: None. Its Sexual Overdrive mechanics are included in the drug mod.

Penance™ for Her
An orgasm-denial product for female-bodied characters. It applies denial and pleasure-cap effects while providing a small concentration benefit.
Required effect file: None.

TenderTouch™
Increases breast sensitivity and pleasure from breast contact. It does not cause lactation, although it can make milking considerably more arousing if the user is already producing milk.
Required effect file: U666 Milk Effects Core.
Optional support: Pill Diagnostic Kiosk.

Xpansion X-Tender
Extends the remaining duration of the user’s current transformation pill. It does nothing if the user is not already transformed.
Required effect file: None.
Optional compatibility: U666 Effect – Continue and Sexual Overdrive.

Yes™
Temporarily applies People Pleaser, making it harder to reject direct requests or disappoint other people.
Required effect file: None. It uses XCL’s existing People Pleaser effect.

Drugs - Drug Framework 3 Versions (for those using X-Change Life versions prior to 0.25)

Drugs!
These are an assortment of drugs I've created for use with Drug Framework 2. Note that the original Drug Framework has been discontinued, as Flip has taken over the project, bringing much-needed coding expertise.

The drugs:
Caliente - An aphrodisiac that ramps up arousal each time period. (Already included with Spike Fun) Futility - A drug that lowers intellect and fitness for a while, leaving the taker weak and vulnerable (for those who are into that). (Already included with Spike Fun) Cock-Up - A temporary penis-enlargement pill, for when you need to be a little bigger. (Manufacturer advises against frequent and prolonged use due to unintended effects.) Yes! - SWP's "People Pleaser" effect, now in a temporary pill form. Additionally has a 1-in-3 chance of removing an Action Point each time period. Penance - An orgasm blocking (typically without the "ruined orgasm" effect) that gives a bonus to intelligence (mental focus) when arousal is below 8. Overdrive - Easier orgasms and multiple orgasms. (Warning! Manufacturer advises against "stacking" pills!) Confidence - The first "pill-modifier" drug, Confidence reduces your gender-switch reluctance for the duration of whatever pill you're on, and makes you more comfortable showing off your body...that last part very literally. Hold-Out & Hold-Out Maxx - A male-only drug that gives the PC more sexual stamina in bar girl sex. Requires the additional file, Male Masturbation Fail CORE & MEDIA, for its side effects to work (there's a chance of blocking male masturbation that increases with frequency of use). X-Tender - (WIP - EXPERIMENTAL) A drug designed to extend the duration of an existing pill. Comes in an orgasm-to-continue variant, as well. Future updates will probably add side effects like pregnancy chance for X-Change pills. (Continue effect probably requires Spike Fun to function.)
Requirements and Installation:
Drug Framework 2 by Flip - The underlying code that makes these kinds of non-transformable pills possible in XCL. Whichever drugs you want in your game. (Only Caliente and Futility are distributed as a pair; the rest work on their own.) Hold-Out drugs require Male Masturbation Fail CORE and Male Masturbation Fail MEDIA
Modder's Resource
For the other modders out there, I created Male Masturbation Fail to give me the ability to create side effects that prevent male characters from being able to get of through masturbation. I tried to make it flexible enough for other creators to use if they have a need to do the same. Please check it out if you have a use for it!

You may also like...
The Knock-off Pharmacy provides a new location in the mall to sell pills that aren't X-Change. Patches are available there for selling these drugs, if you'd prefer to buy them in a different location. The Spike Fun mod is where I first felt the need to add drugs like these to the game. In particular, it requires Caliente and Futility as drugs that can be used on the player character in spiked drinks. It also has support for Yes.

This mod add a new place in Summer City Mall: InstaGirl Laboratory.
This new lab offers the opportunity to earn money by participating in a few pill trials. You can also get treatment for all side effects from X-Change pills. You can change your masculinity if you have enough money.
This mod contains different introduction, audio for npc voices, achievements and ambience.

This mod contains:

[XCL] [0.25] Alternate Living Spaces

Alternate Living Spaces is code that allows you to easily create a place to stay that isn't stepdad's house. This code will already have a live demonstration at the various Wharf hotels, with more Wharf living spaces to follow.

Attention Modders:
To prevent home location events from firing, it was necessary to create new passage tags. In each case, its just the base game passage tag preceeded by "als_":

Simply add the "als_" version to the appropriate place if your code should fire if the player is staying in an alternate living space.

But anyone can use this to create their own alternate living space.

I have created a number of little mods that I have decided to make available for others to use.

all collector cards - start a game with all cards already in your inventory
bar girl selector - allows you to remove or re-add bar girls you have installed
female body stats - add character id and a couple of other stats to the character creation display
infinite clothes changes - allows you to use your handbag as much as you want during a day
MirrorMirror revised - gives you a bit more detail when examining yourself - mostly side effects and drugs taken (for modded games)
Work Stats revised - displays a bit more data on work stats than is currently available

bar girls pill status - allows you to mass change a bar girls pill status

New-U shows id - shows character id when selecting a New-U body

(Game start cheat) advanced start - Start with more money. Start with potion shop essence. Start with protective serum.

I have made an attempt to patch various bar girl twee files. This does NOT correct all errors to be found in these bar girls.
I have provided the twee files for the bar girls that needed patching. The mod corrects a few problems here and there, such as bad possible names wrong quotes in some places removing obsolete meta requirements and base game version restrictions comments out the girl cum [around] passages. Those are all replaced using the WW Bulk Bar Girls Handling for which I have provided a replacement passage in the zz bulk.twee file. I have a tendency to rename mods to all be in the same area, so you may need to look for the right XCL/ZIP file. You should be able to directly replace the files in the zipped directories.
It is your responsibility to put these twee files into the correct bar girls package. If you don't know how to do that, DON'T get this file.

outfit image shuffler - helper mod for character outfit creators. Permits multiple outfit views for a single outfit.
This is a mod that lets you use multiple images for an outfit. The images will sort of shuffle at random. To create an alternate image, take the existing image and add additional text to the name at the end of the name and before the extension. Example:
\img\characters\outfits\jia\lingerie\BlackLace.jpg to
\img\characters\outfits\jia\lingerie\BlackLace Wall.jpg
To tell the game to use this, add to the outfit's tags: "tags": ["alt Wall"]
You can have as many extra outfits as you want to take the trouble to make.
(as of March 2026 only one mod uses this - Marley Brinx Remaster)
Added NoPurpleAlexia - removes option for Alexia to take a purple as long as you don't encourage her to do so.

Night Mall & Gym Modlet [0.25]

In XCL 0.26, the new access to the house in the mornings means that daily activities sometimes feel more restrictive; sometimes you want to work out but ALSO practice makeup! This mod allows you to visit the mall or the gym in more timeslots.
- Gym: now available in afternoons or evenings, in addition to mornings like before.
- Mall: now available in evenings, in addition to afternoons like before.

Note that only one workout is available per day, so there's no point going to the gym multiple times. Custom gym scenes (like Jia's scene, Jade's with coach, etc.) are only available in the mornings because the NPC's you meet are only there in the mornings.

LESBIANED is an expansion mod for X-Change Life designed to bring more variety and inclusivity to your gameplay. While the base game features a robust system for male NPCs to interact with a female player, LESBIANED levels the playing field by introducing randomly generated female NPCs who will hit on, flirt with, and hook up with the player.
Whether you're looking for a casual encounter at the beach or a steamy night at the bar, this mod ensures that your female-to-female (F/F) experiences are just as dynamic and frequent as the base game's male-to-female (M/F).

This initial beta release focuses on building the foundation for female encounters and populating the world with a diverse range of women.

Oral Pills are now an option at the Paradise Mall Pharmacy 🏥! Originally developed as an "improvement" to the patented Cum-Cure formula, the scientists at X-Change Corp. were delighted to discover the unexpected Freudian benefits that can come from improved taste buds. This pill temporarily rewires your brain's dopamine centers to focus around your mouth and throat, rather than just your genitals. As a result, you'll find it hard (read: impossible) to orgasm through normal means — instead, you'll find that getting your partners off gets you off too! Careful, though: you've got to swallow every last drop to maximize the effect. 😉

💊 New pill at the Pharmacy: Oral. Lasts between 5 and 7 days. 400 currency at the Pharmacy (occasional 10% discount).

🧪➡️🔮 The Path to Nyx: A Complete Walkthrough

Want to unlock the (non-repeatable!) purple-pill scene with Nyx the Witch Doctor at Mutatio? Here's the full route:
Use Oral Pills often, and let them expire naturally (or during sex) — every expiration rolls a chance for the effect to become permanent. The more oralgasms you've had, and the more times you've gone through this, the better your odds.
Once you're permanently Oral Fixated, keep living your life — you'll start getting occasional night thoughts nudging you toward the X-Change Pharmacy.
Visit the Pharmacy and ask about your "leftover oral pill effects." You can either:
Buy a $50 Detection Kit and wait ~3 days for results, or
(If female) work with the pharmacist directly for an instant diagnosis. 😏
Once diagnosed, go back to the Pharmacy for the temporary treatment ($250, female only) — this buys you time, but the side effect will try to come back.
With a diagnosis on record, head to the Potion Shop at Mutatio and ask Nyx about permanent Oral Fixation treatment.
Agree to return the next day — and make sure you're in your Pink (female) form when you do.
…and that's where the spoilers stop. Nyx has her own way of doing things. This scene is a one-time deal, so savor it. 🍆🔥

⚠️ Known Limitations

One-off, hand-authored scenes involving cum-swallowing have not all been individually updated for Oral Pill/Oral Fixation awareness — most notably, Purple Alexia's scene doesn't currently acknowledge or react to your Oral Pill or Fixation status. Everything that runs through the game's shared sex, masturbation, and spiking systems is fully compatible as of this update; unique one-off scenes are reviewed and added over time.

Available with and without Cosplay.

This is a simple mod that changes NPC appearance at the Broken Drum. Its set in the Settings menu.

This also adds options for larger bets with Dredd. The more you play blackjack, the higher your limit goes.

Option 1: Two slots for the base game NPCs (bruce, dredd, gabbie, harley, kendra, leah) and one slot for additional Bar Girls (recommended for 3+ Bar Girls installed)

Option 2: One slot for the base game NPCs and two slots for additional Bar Girls (recommended for 10+ Bar Girls installed)

[XCL] [0.25] Dreddful Endings

It adds 8 BAD endings to X-Change Life centered around the Side Effects that drain stats or identity. Eventually, it will add 8 redemption arcs for those bad endings, but right now only one is implemented, the rest just dump you back to the base game. It also adds a cat.

ALL FILES REQUIRED FOR DOWNLOAD.

There are endings added by Aphrodite in 0.21.5 that conflict with the endings present in Dreddful Endings. There is now a toggle in the options menu to switch between them.

[XCL] [0.25] Dom/Sub Thoughts - Nighttime Reflections on Your Relationships with Others

This is a simple mod with a simple goal: to increase the player's control on how their character reacts to the dominating and submissive forces the world subjects them to. How the player character treats NPCs, and how they are treated by them, is one of the main themes of X-Change Life, and can have serious gameplay effects if things swing far one way or the other. Not everyone reacts the same way to the same events, and this mod allows you to roleplay your character a bit more how you might want to.

This is done as it might be done in real life: self-reflection. During the evening, if the game's Dom/Sub stat has increased/decreased with an NPC, they can think about what it means to them. Do they let things stay the way they are, letting oneself dominate others or be dominated by them? Do they resist their urges, at the cost of their mental well-being? Or do they treat it as an effect of their ever-changing gender identity?

The mod is, admittedly, mostly made due to a certain stepsister of a character named Alexia. She has a habit of teasing/insulting/berating/abusing/harassing and generally being a complete jerk to the main character, especially if they try to be a woman themselves. By default, this makes the character feel dominated by her (even if just a little). Sure, some people might react this way, but others would not. Now you have two more options: resist the domination and take the bullying as a hit to your mental well-being (i.e. your identity), or flip the whole thing around and take her pointing out your newfound femininity as a compliment.

As well as Alexia, the mod is also set up for stedad, Bruce, Hollis, Mariselle, and Hailey. Some of these characters don't currently have dom/sub events, but it's good to be prepared.

Mostly a result of the game treating domination, bullying, manliness, and general abusive behavior as the same thing, with submissiveness, victimization, womanliness, and being abused as the opposites. This is an attempt to make things just a tad more nuanced.

Or at least let you dynamically opt out of things.

[XCL] [0.25] PCs as NPCs: 10 More Bar Girls!

The New-U machine had to get it's DNA from someone, right? These individuals are walking around somewhere, so what would occur if they just happened to frequent the same bar? Heck, what would happen if you run into someone that used the New-U machine using the DNA you donated?

Sex. Obviously it's sex.

This mod adds 10 more bar girls to the roster, each one based on one of the player character choices you can normally make in the game. It is a mod of convenience, as it significantly increases the number of bar girls available without adding much to hard drive space, as most of the assets are in the base game already. It also adds some unique dialogue for when two individuals using the same DNA meet up with each other for the first time at The Broken Drum (and possibly other bars, if the mod for that bar supports this mod as well).
A couple of things to note:

The mod known as BLACKED is not required, but it would be needed if you want your black character to not suddenly turn white during sex scenes. As usual Cassidy/Autumn is not supported but the rest of the characters are. If you donate DNA to the New-U machine, you need to fully go into the "Select body" screen before your DNA is activated for use. Soon after, someone happens to use said DNA and is now cruising around town in the female form of your body. This mod is a case of quantity over quality, and one corner cut was the images available. As with the player characters, the bar girls here don't express emotions very well. Not every possible combination of events are taken into account, and as usual the bar girls never seem to figure out you are the same person when a male as when you are female (and, conveniently, neither do you). A mod that increases the number of bar girls that show up each day is highly recommended. This was tested with the mod known as "Not So Broken Drum" and it appears to work. By itself the dialogue with bar girls only triggers when there is a direct match at that specific time and only the 10 from the base game. If the Clone Wars mod is present, additional PC/bar girl combos are supported as well. However, the game always assumes for downloaded bar girls that they are the original one and you took their DNA.
If anybody wants to take what I've done here and improve upon it, feel free to do so and render this one obsolete. As long as you make sure to make even improvements to all 10 characters equally, I won't mind.

WARNING: This event only kicks off on the first 1-60 days of a playthrough (or the first 1-60 days after a multiple of 365)... except the initial launch version will have a button to change the season to "Icestravaganza"
You can play through in advance to know what is coming. Or just roll with it and be surprised.

If you do the playthrough, try to guess what your partner will choose as their meal and set up the right meals for dinner.
You can customize the experience as much as you like by editing the .twee
There is a gift ring scene that could be modified for those looking for a unique way to propose. I would HIGHLY recommend having a REAL ring handy, if you do this.

[XCL] [0.25] Cosplay and Location Expansion

This is a Wharf expansion and only functions in Wharf locations, although the code that manages this is generic and located in WharfBars.twee, so other modders could easily add this to their mods if they wished.

The Corinthian

Corinthian is a new location for XCL. This is basically two very different jobs in one both at the Corinthian hotel. You start as an ordinary hotel worker but there are promotions available. Including a whole new way of employing Bar Girls. There is a mod option to unlock both jobs from the start but for the first playthrough it is recommended to play through normally.

FAQ:

Why are there two files?
The Corinthian file is all you need to play. However the Additional Events file (Corinthian AE) adds a lot of variety and new events/missions. They are split in two so that an update of the basegame does not require everyone to download all those media files again.

Are there any known conflicts with other mods?
No.

Will other mods work well with this mod?
Yes. especially Bar girls will work will and add a lot of variety to especially the night job at the Corinthian. "Any job" mod is also supported.

Can I play this in my old save?
Yes. Although you might have to wait a day until the locations appear. Corinthian is 99% new stuff so shouldn't interfere with any other thing.

Do I need any other mods to play this?
No, it is entirely self-contained.

How do I start this mod?
It should start on its own. You can select the Corinthian during the daily planning with the 🏨 (hotel) icon. If you load a save or use the option to unlock night right away you might have to wait a day until you see the option to go to the Corinthian.

Why do I get an error when adding this mod to the modloader?
You need to update your modloader to the latest version and then re-add the mod into the modloader.

Assistants:
Choosing assistants customizes your experience at night somewhat. They adjust both kinks and difficulty. Bear in mind that not everything is completed yet.

There are passage tags in the code that can be listened to but the other main way I expect modding to come here is to add more missions and events.

How to write a mission for Corinthian nights:
Make a new twee file.
Needs to contain 5 passages:

X is the id you define in "corinthian add missions" where you have to make a dm containing all the various variables that the mod need.

The 3 first are relatively simple as they simply contain text that the mod will show at various points. Please keep title and short description relatively short.

Resolution should start with (display: "cor calculate mission success") and end with (display:"cor night mission reward"). This is were the result of the job is presented and you can check $currentmissionstate for the result of the job.

[XCL] Stepsis Mall Settings

A small mod that lets you adjust the frequency of Alexia asking to get a ride to the mall and the odds of her stealing while there. Inspired by the Go to the Mall with Alexia and Alexia the shoplifter by cnwjr. No known mod conflicts.
