more like new paradox launcher side. not working well with manually added files... for me it shows mods i deleted long ago and shows none if i clear mods_registry.json file

just add it manually in dlc_load.json

like this:

Quote

 {"disabled_dlcs":[],"enabled_mods":["mod/tot.mod","mod/1922397818.mod"]}

heya there is a lot of work has been done with those 400+ images. just wanted to say thanks for the share and ask question about those images. iam kinda new to modding in stellaris and tried to make some species mods for stellaris too, but i have problem with croping images. when i crop any image iam inevitably have some pieces of background of the cropped image, so my cropped girls have some weird background of the image out which i've cropped them. also each image take a lot of time for me to crop just 1 image. so i wonder maybe is there more fast and easy way to crop images for modding species cuz here 400+ flawlessy cropped images.

I've made a few portrait mods for myself (i think current count is 7), which added around 650 images or so. Each one of them was manually edited, cropped, and resized. It takes time, but you get faster as you learn the tricks. First images took me almost 2 hours to do each. Now (depending on the image), it takes me from 8 to 20 minutes. Complicated hairs makes that a bit more tedious.

As for the cropped background, that depends on how good your cropping is and the program you are using. I still get a small tinge of the background images on my files, usually an outline; however, since I usually work with large file sizes (2580x3840 or so), when I do the resizing the outlines just get merged into the nearby pixels.

tl/dr
You'll get better with time. For background: crop better, use larger images.

No idea either, in any case, i had manually upscale the images to 720X720 to match existing portraits,  makes them kinda blurry but at least I can see them. Funny thing is though, i have another hentai portraits mods installed with no issues with scaling... and it was an old one i downloaded last year with no updates to it's files.

Also, there seems to be some issues with externally downloaded mods, the launcher doesn't read them at all, had to create a 'new' mod and place your files in for it to appear. Any idea why this is happening?

I have now downloaded this mod multiple times and extracted it into the mod folder (the folder and mod file are both in there) but it doesn't show up in the launcher. Other mods work fine and I did exactly the same. Am I doing something wrong? Any idea how to make it work? I am not a modder myself.

Make manual mod creation in launcher, then just extract my mod into folder without overwriting descriptor.txt

I dont use launcher at all, you can add them like this

and run "stellaris.exe" from game folder

Wish I could help. However, for me no Loverslab Stellaris mods are showing up. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. And no clue on how to get the mods to show up in the launcher.

you have to add descriptor.mod file in the folder of the mod it it must have the name="insert name here" and the path="mod/insert name here" , tags{ "species" } <copy the format here from other mods , plus this important the supported version="2.6.*". then edit the name.mod  outside in the mod folder itself to match
