decided to make it from scratch since 2.6.3 now has hardcoded building cap...

Hmm?

        POPS_BUILDING_SLOTS                        = 5     # The amount of pops needed to unlock a new building slot
        BASE_PLANET_BUILDING_SLOTS                = 1
        MAX_PLANET_BUILDING_SLOTS                = 16

        POPS_BRANCH_OFFICE_BUILDING_SLOTS         = 25     # The amount of pops needed to unlock a new branch office building slot
        BASE_PLANET_BRANCH_OFFICE_BUILDING_SLOTS = 0
        MAX_PLANET_BRANCH_OFFICE_BUILDING_SLOTS     = 4

These lines are still present in defines.  Are you saying they do nothing now?

I don't think 2.7 changed any mechanics for portrait mods or did it?

No idea, they revamped quite a bit.

For everyone confused about why this mod is bugging out their launcher, simply open the .mod file (tot.mod, not the descriptor.mod file) in something like notepad or notepad++ and change the path line from

path="/mod/tot"

to

path="mod/tot"

 A simple change makes a world of difference in parsing.

Edit: To be on the safe side, delete "mods_registry" "game_data" and "dlc_load" in your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris folder (or wherever you've had your game rerouted to) to prevent duplicate mods from being created when you do this. The first time I did this it created a duplicate mod of all my steam mods, but deleting the aforementioned files fixed it, as soon as you start the launcher back up, it'll recreate them and everything should work just fine, no need to dick around with the mod tool button.

i'm still kinda confused because of how my path is set up it's  Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/mod/Gynoid" do i just get rid of the thing between mod and Stellaris?

call me an idiot but i'm just being cautious

You can if you want. If you're truly concerned with it, try each method one at a time, and whenever you make your change, save it and try to launch Stellaris and see if it works. If it doesn't, try the next one, etc. Sometimes writing out a file path in full without having the disk it's located on in the file path causes it to not work, so /mod/ usually works for this purpose, but if you want to write out the full file path name, make sure to have the disk in there too, like C:/ or (insert disk name here):/

So, we have the Lewd Mind civic.

The Sex Palace goes anywhere, but the Sex Hub is capital-only?

The Soldier and Enforcer jobs state they spawn defence armies.  Although the Sex Palace building says it does, the Mistress Job doesn't mention it.  What's the truth?

So this is a fixed version, just make sure its on the bottom of the load order. If the creator comes back, I'll take this down. If you have empires with the portraits from before, you may have to reset them as I moved them to their own category, thus making it compatible with SE humans too. If there's any problems let me know, as I've not tried playing as one of them yet.

I copied your file into the mods folder and activated it in the launcher. There are however no pics appearing. Do I need something from the original mod?

Here is an updated version of this mod after the most recent update broke most portrait mods. All that was changed was adding the new portrait category and portrait sets folders along with their respective files.

NOTE: I am not completely certain about the changes for the robotics and am not 100% certain they will work correctly, but at least the species you can play as at the start of the game appear to be working correctly.

Edit: changed mod file path.

I wasn't able to get this to work.  Something about sexy_a_species_sexy_a.txt was broken.  At first it looked like a "}" misplacement on line 1042 (according to Irony).  I tried to edit the file myself to see if I could get it to work, rearranging the brackets, but then I saw that the other files around it had extra stuff at the top and this one didn't.  Would someone who has more experience than me mind taking a second look at this to see if we can get this resolved?  :3  plz and thx!

I have looked into the files and found a few items of note. Firstly, it appears that the sexy_a_species_sexy_a.txt file, as well as the other files with the same format in that folder, were originally taken from the more futa mod as they reference the portraits domme0 through domme133 which are the portrait names for the more futa mod. Secondly, it appears that these files were introduced when Stronggater made a fix for this mod back in November 2022. Thirdly, you are correct that there are errors in this text file concerning excess closing brackets. It appears that there was an extra closing bracket at the end of each section in the sexy_a file which resulted in four more closing brackets than were necessary for this file to work properly. Fourth, I am not certain that this file, or any of the files that have this same naming convention in this mod, are actually needed for the mod to function properly. The 01_portraits_sexy.txt file contains the proper format for referencing the portraits in this mod and seems to take priority over the other files in this folder. In a test case I was able to delete the sexy_a_species_sexy_a through sexy_d_species_sexy_d text files and the portraits still loaded correctly for me in my game. however, during this I discovered an issue that had gone unnoticed when I was previously working on this mod. There was an issue with the 01_portraits_sexy.txt file that caused the portraits for individual pops to appears as the default image and not use any other images. I have since edited the 01_portraits_sexy.txt files and this issue is no longer occurring for me. This test was done with only the ToT mod loaded to make sure no other mods conflicted with this one. Attached is the updated file without the sexy_a_species_sexy_a through sexy_d_species_sexy_d text files along with the fixed 01_portraits_sexy.txt file. If you were experiencing an issue other than the one related to the pop portraits, please let me know what it was so I can take a further look into the issue.

EDIT 07/23/2024

This version of the mod is no longer the most recent version. Check further down in the thread for an updated version that has a fix for the humanoid portraits not showing up during empire creation.
