Someone ever tried a Ren'Py game with TS4 content?

Hey 2 all!

I love TS4 – above all because of the extended capabilities because to Wicked Whims ? And I also like Sex Games made with Ren'Py.

I firstly thought to dig into DAZ Studio for creating beautifully rendered, realistic images. But I have nor the the time neither the nerve to do that ?

So I thought, could be fun to build a typical Ren'py novel game with sexual content by using screenshots and video sequences from TS4 gameplay ...

Has somebody tried that before? Does someone knows a Ren'py game like that? What are your thoughts? ☺️

Hey! Sounds pretty fun and original,

Could a dating sim featuring people's favourite uploaded characters from the share your male/females threads be possible?

Some might enjoy that as there seems to be a big market in that area 

Could it be possible to create a visual novel platform were people can import their own characters to roles you've written too?

Good luck with it, could have potential to be a nice expansion!

Thanks R-Lo! ? To be honest, it is not much more than a idea ? I first wanted to make an Letsplay Channel by role playing concrete stories with TS4 ... but thank to the adult stuff this won't work probably.

I lately checked the Python based script language of Ren'Py and saw a possibility to create fun, exciting and sexy stories with TS4 & WW ?

 

The concept would be make a TV series like structure, that is publishing seasons with single episodes ... And of course single episodes can be about any sim, also favorite sims of the LL community ? The LL-Threads like your Photo Corner or above all the incredible stories of @lanmi81 inspired me a little bit ... Why not use the artistic and creative power for a much cooler experience? ?

Your welcome! It's great idea and if it takes off could start a new trend! The movie thing is something I'm working towards too and the anims and Sims I'm making are  slowly coming together enough for me to get a script written,

Just one scene I'm trying to film is being ruined by a default replacement posepack that I can't find 

Music vids are fun but I'm looking forward to making up some fun simlish translation subtitles!

And I like your movies though ? This Ren'Py-TS4-WW-thing would be a complete new thing I'd imagine ? Because currently with the regular gameplay stories arise while gaming. The other path is the one, lanmi81, you and aothers are walking with photo stories. And if we put photo stories plus (sex) animations into a Ren'py based game with a script, with different paths for story arising by the choices of the user ... hhhhmmm, this could really be something new ?

 

And when the concept from the beginning would be like a TV show ... with episodes combined to seasons ... with different characters, developing during the story ... with twists and miracles and quests and excitement ... oh, I'd love to start right now! ?

 

Biut i'll first give that a try after finishing some client projects and when there's hopefully some time ?

this is very interesting idea, and i know it will be fantastic,

but i think, EA "doesnt like" any screenshoot taken from their game are used in other game, especially an "adult" screenshoot (correct me if i'm wrong at this)

I' not really into visual novels, but I can definitely see this becoming popular amongst people who are. I should warn you, though, you migh face some legal backlash from EA if you use screenshots from their game, especially if you monetize it. I would try to get in touch with EA's legal team just to make sure.

 

You might be able to bypass this issue if you hire an artist to draw the characters and settings, but you would still have to deal with the fact that you have the name "The Sims" attached to what is basically a fan game.

 

Having said all this, none of us are lawyers, so you should really contact EA directly and ask them about this and record the conversation to try to avoid any possible legal problems. I don't want anyone here getting sued into poverty from a massive corporation lol.

Could be, dear @autobanned ? So therefore it would only be for "us" to share without publishing or earning money and all that ... just going under the radar ?

Thank you for your advice @porkybork, I appreciate that much! But to be honest I haven't had the plan to go public with this but only to share it within communities ? It'll be just a "fan thing", shared in fan communities. 

1st step would be: Try, if it is realizable at all: Building scenes, shots and animations out of TS4 along a story with different plots, decisions to make and so one. Could be, that all this Pose Player WW Animation Screenshot stuff won't work proper.

2nd step would be: To assure, it's worth the time, which I do not have a lot! ?

 

So, we'll see ... If there are some people out there (within LoversLab) who would be interested ... maybe give it a try?

As long as you're not selling the visual novel, you shouldn't get into any trouble. See: any other Sims story that features "adult" content everywhere else on the web.

 

I think I've seen someone make a Ren'py with TS3. And I tried years ago with TS2 stuff. Let me see if I can find that...

Hey!

It's worth checking out but you may be able to generate support via donations or even access to polls,

Same kind of way other creators are working!

 

This way, your not selling the contents of EA and it's viewed more towards being support to your efforts and giving people a piece of creative influence to the storylines as reward for pledging?

 

If you're offering a free download, my opinion is that you're probably ok, maybe even early access to the next episode on a weekly/fortnightly basis,

If people can claim support for making Sims, which is essentially being paid to simply play the game...

Yeah, that's the plan, to not sell this but to share it with the Adult-TheSims-Community ... Maybe I'll find ways for support later, like @R-Lo suggested. We'll see. First I want to try it, whether TS4 is a practical "platform" for getting images and animations for a Ren'py based Visual Novel ... I already began to write the plot and the main characters are also already there ☺️

At the moment it's not quite clear for me how to go on. I've received a lot of positive feedback about the fact of making a game with TS4 content ... but I was also rightly criticized for the content and the story, which is actually far too uncreative. The story has been told countless times. I have to think about it currently ...

yah, I tried it yesterday. The sound and images are great. However, it's too short to satisfy anything. You've done well. Can't wait for the next episode ❤️

You know anything new must have the stable first step. I think content is the part that we can improve day by day. 

 

Uhm, maybe you can combine the content that is related directly to sims 4. For example, stories about NPC families like Goth, Pancake,.... Or one of the roommates is vampire or alien. They want to conquer the Earth  . Or there will be an unpredictable and horrible disease that makes almost everyone turn into Zombie, LOL, the characters try to stay away from them and then the four get lost in wild island .I think this direction can help the game more attractive.
