Nope, I never heard of her before it was mentioned here. I started out with one of Seddon's tutorials.

All I had to do was change the StageDone to IsStage condition and it worked.

Wait, wut?!?!? You don't know Heather Casdin? I think that's a cardinal sin if you ask @Flashy (JoeR). haha

Seriously though. Check her out. "Fan-fucking-tastic" companion mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23273

Yeah. As of this moment, I dont even KNOW why ivy is any more. Never heard of her.

Doesnt know Heather Casdin. Pffttt... how is such a thing even possible? The BEST companion for Fallout 4 that has EVER been made, from Beth or Modders...

But seriously, do take a look at her source, it is freely available. Llama did an amazing job and yeah... well worth trolling through the source.

Its all good - he has an open dialogue going on the Nexus WITH LlamaRCA, so if anyone can help him get to near-Heather level with this companion, it will definitely be her.

Heather is a great companion, but mark my words, Ivy has the potential to be that much better. Just wait.

I am waiting. Until she's done. i dont want to have any pre-knowledge of her 'in game' stuff until she is really and truly completed. Hence why I have not download her yet. But mark my words, once she is signed off as competed by the mod author, Im SOOO all over this on a male player play-through!

Yup, just started a male play-through just because of her. I've had a look at much of Reginald's work in CK and FO4Edit and I gotta say, the work is extremely thorough and well thought-out. This collaboration with LlamaRCA can only help Reginald get over some of the "hurdles" and strengthen the creative flow...

I took a look at some videos of Heather, she's very impressive.

I've been working a lot on quest related dialogue and I still didn't get my own events to fire correctly on her listener quest. I was also forced to split open all dialog branches, which the first time around cost me nearly 300 sounds files as the links were broken. Once I figured out how to do it correctly (cut/paste dialogue instead of copy/paste dialogue) I recreated most of her main dialogue branches from scratch.

Her dialogue is now a lot different, with 4 main dialogue branches to grant access to her options.

1) Approach > regular menu > talk / trade

2) Talk menu now houses 3 different kinds of conversational options > Flirt! > Thoughts? > Thoughts on CURRENT situation?

3) Looks configuration menu was added (but not active yet, I have many hurdles there to cross)

3) Service menu same as before.

The idea is forming for 3 quests related to Ivy's history, if I find myself up to the task, you'll hear a lot more on that later.

If I go forward with the idea, the quest will be called 'Ivy in Pornoland'.. yes that might become a thing...

Just did some extensive testing with the Arcjet quest and Ivy's integration. I'm having a blast making her badmouth Danse after every word he says... 'fucking brotherhood cunt'... (ofcourse she hates the BoS, she's a Synth..). Quest integration is running beautifully now, 'current thoughts' on current situation is also hooking perfectly into the active quests, now all that needs is a lot of content to make her a part of vanilla quests. She now speaks with bar tenders and whenever you exit her chat, she'll say something relevant to the current situation. It's making everything come very alive so far.

I still didn't get the script to hook into existing quest lines running for either DARRYL or Ivy. I'm using DARRYL as testbed for that as it's more important there but when I finally worked out the kinks I'll implement the same thing for Ivy. (Note that DARRYL is an NPC follower for a different mod)

Damn you @Reginald_001, after a week of awful busy time at work I was looking forward to relaxing with FO4 for a night and then I found this. Download now or wait for the next update? :astonished:

Def. wait for the next update! Current dialog count for Ivy: 1166 that's hundreds more since the current version. Also, the new update (coming soonish) will have full quest integration, etc..etc..

It will be (far) longer before I manage to implement my affinity perk system (good girl/bad girl perks) and implement Ivy's quest, which is meant to take place in a new worldspace... which is new for me as well.

Just an update:

- Halfway through quest dialogues

- 3/4 way through AO_Comments (the random comments that companions make when travelling with them)

- Added the W.I.V.S. Radio station. Ivy's internal radio broadcasts erotic stories and sci-fi trailers, 24 hours a day. So far 11 (5 to 20 minute) radio songs were added that each tell a chapter of a complete erotic book. Another 12 'lore friendly' old sci-fi commercials were added to the mix, including some DJ work from Ivy. You can build a radio, tuned to her station, from the workbench and place it in your settlements, so you can broadcast Ivy through the Commonwealth.

(edit) Made the radio so that it emits an emergency broadcast with Ivy pleading for someone to redeem her voucher. Once she has been redeemed, her full radio station activates.

- Fixed lots of bugs in the menu structure after redesigning it.

- Added lots of dialogue, 1290 at last count. 1492 at last count.

- Ivy now gives you a part of her profits as prostitute, once every 12 hours in a day, up to 50 caps, depending on your charisma (as pimp).

Dear uplloder

Please Upload a update file.I play three hrs but nothing happen.

I'm not really sure what you're asking. I am working on version 1.6 which is going to be a huge update to the current version 1.5 that is available through the download button.

How soon before IVY 1.6 is relessed and will it need a clean save or can I jest over wright 1.5?

I think it will be about a week before it's released. As it's a complete major overhaul, a fresh game (or save without Ivy loaded previously) is mandatory for her to function properly. And as so many features have been added, some extensive testing needs to be done this week first.

But I promise it will definitely be worth it! She will have quest integration starting from the first quest towards Concord, in fact it's advisable to pick her up as soon in the game as possible, in order to get all her dialogue lines relevant to quests and locations.

The version 1.5 (which is up currently) looks like a minor hobby project in comparison to the current build, which now has over 1700 lines of dialogue, full quest integration, a complete recruitment quest and features new functions for Ivy, including a new radio station, much more balanced outfit and armor, and full hacking capabilities (send her to a terminal and she'll hack it).

(edit) Some latest screens... and a small update.

Ivy has matured overall. In all her tidbits of dialogue there is a lot of her lore and background. And what seems to be a frivolous companion will soon turn out to be a much deeper experience than you had imagined when you installed this mod. It's surprising how much she grows on you... the biggest reason behind this is because ALL of her idles, such as the wake up lines after a good night's sleep, have many different lines of dialogue, making each interaction unique. The current build weighs in at over 1700 unique lines of dialogue, making each conversation different and unique.

When you take Ivy out to travel through the commonwealth you learn much more about her. About her hobbies as photograper, her life as raider before she was kidnapped, taken, and turned into a sexbot by a rogue Institute scientist still at large...

Some 'tech' changes:

The 'main' conversation now has these options:

1) Conversation

2) Status update <-- She will tell you something about her operating status, depending on her health.

3) Service Menu

The conversation menu is now split into 3 options:

1) Regular thoughts, stuff.

2) Sexy talk (flirt) <-- All filthy, sexy, rancid chat has been moved here. (outside of the idles she says)

3) 'Current situation' <-- if there's any active open quest, Ivy might comment on it. You can ask her thoughts during each stage of these quests. For instance. If you talk to Ivy after Sturges asked you to make his bed, she'll ask you what the fuck you're doing and if you're also going to wipe his ass, etc..

Interesting glitch / or mod interactions.

I started a fresh save (I have a save just before exiting vault which I use to roll new characters/test various mods.)

Upon reaching sanctuary, no Ivy.  So I messed with other stuff for a couple hours, then on a hunch went and grabbed the redeem voucher which provided a map marker to ivy.

I found Ivy by the small raider camp on the edge of the map north of Sanctuary, dead, with a raider, a dog, and 3 bloatflies.  After a resurrect, ivy was stuck and silent (because I found the voucher first and broke the quest, I suspect.)

So - reload a save before picking up voucher.  Returned, dealt with the hostiles, resurrect.  voila (almost.) quest started normally, grabbed voucher, finished quest and recruited.

She was commandable-ish, service menu worked, she'd dance, tell the stories, etc.  But wouldn't move at all other than teleporting to you if you got too far away.

Disable/enable followed by a recycle seems to have fixed everything.

I *suspect* that 4play autonomy, which was briefly active on this play, hooked ivy and the raider up and moved her to the hostile area, and then the other hostiles wiped her out while she was busy doing the deed. (or perhaps a 6-way with a raider, dog, and 3 bloatflies was just too much, even for Ivy and her mind exploded?)

Yup. That sounds like a 4play autonomy thing. I don't use 4play myself, but I can imagine it can interact in these ways. As that's how the game operates NPC's, I'm not sure how I can stop that sort of thing. I made Ivy an Essential character, so some other mod is overriding that... which makes her die.

As for the recruitment quest, that's been fixed. It was missing a setStageCompleted() command. But since the whole radio thing has now been added, it's been completely overhauled in any case, and works differently now.

I am now also implementing a profanity filter, you can turn her extreme/filthy stuff on and off via the service menu. She will still say sexy things, mind you, if you turn it on. She is NEVER safe for work. But with it, you can filter out the extreme suggestions... shit, piss, SM, needle play, etc...

ps: Ivy is a white angel of death in her new white dress. I love it.

Easy. Either add a keyword or faction from the vanilla game (Fallout4.esm) at time of OnInit() for the main script for Ivy, that we mod authors can use as a filter method. Something that an NPC would never normally have. And then once the voucher is redeemed, remove the keyword or faction so that Ivy is available for Autonomy (or Enhanced or RSE).

Easy suggestion is to make Ivy have a keyword of 'ClothingBody'.  This keyword exists in the CK for Fallout4.esm but it has NO uses within the game, so it would be 100% unique if applied to Ivy on mod install / init and then again, as I mentioned, once she is 'activated', you remove the keyword via script.

Just as an idea. Then in this way, I can for example in RSE and Autonomy Enhanced, have the ref alias fill ignore NPCs with this completely unique keyword. But it cannot be a keyword you make, as it needs to be native to the main ESM so that I, and other mod authors, can use it natively as a condition on the ref alias fill.

That sounds like a really good idea. I'll look into adding this keyword so you guys can filter it out. Mind you. I do have the idea of making an Add-on ESP for Ivy that incorporates 4play functionality, but I'm not there yet modding skill wise... I did just get the profanity filter to work nicely though, it's good to have that option (and she has more than enough dialogue so that she can do without profanity). It's sometimes nice to have her just be a 'normal' girl for  a bit...

The setting also defaults originally to the GoreEnabled variable of the game, so Ivy considers people with a weaker heart (to some extent).

You dont really need to make one though - we can take her over just by refalias filling her as the companion, provided she fills the PlayerHasActiveCompanion global variable change and is placed into the CurrentCompanionFaction, as normal vanilla companions do.

Really, at least for my two mods, all that we need is a hook from the FO4 esm, to know when she shouldnt be included in any routines / functions due to not be activated by the player yet via redeem voucher.

This will make your life very easy.

I will put this on my todo list, then send you a PM when I need a bit more detailed help..

For now she's not an esm yet, and I don't know how to make her into one.

In the meantime, some more screens of my white angel... the white actually makes a lot of sense in the wasteland. As it's more a light/greyish when you go downtown with her, she's quite camouflaged...

Look at how in love she is looking at me... Oh and I pretty much look like that in real life, except I'm not gray yet...

Having read what both of you just discussed, adding (until voucher redeem) one of the following 2 factions occur to me as being the easiest solution (meaning that other authors wouldn't need to update their mods to check for whatever unique var you decide upon.)

Non-hostile faction 0001d289
Faction for Captives - Friends with everyone 0003e0c8

food for thought, but since I have no modding experience I might be barking up the wrong tree.

Dangit! Between the both of you @Reginald_001 and @Flashy (JoeR), I can't make any progress on my game. I'm stuck in a quasi-"analysis paralysis" mode waiting on the next update, but all good. Would rather have this than a half-assed abandoned mod.

Ivy wasn't set as essential in v1.5 (I just happened to remember looking in xEdit), but glad you have it set in 1.6. I can't wait for all your new features, but as soon as you release 1.6, I'm sure Flashy will release some other cool new feature that requires yet another cleaning.

Keep up the great work (both of you). I'm glad to see this "hobby" mod of yours grow into something more tangible. Even in her current state, she's in my "can't play without" toybox (right next to RSE).

stuff...

more stuff...

I just did a high level test of sorts with console stuff.  Essentially load up a fresh save, make sure autonomy was off before exiting vault.

After walking to a still alive Ivy -  dropped a save and then do the following

global tai;tcai

ivy'sid.addtofaction <x>.1

walk over to that hostile area

ivy.moveto player

walk over behind the building (so TGM or TFC don't break combat but the bad guys don't see me)

global tai;tcai

x=1d289 - they attacked her immediately.

x=3e0c8 - ignored her completely.

so after 2nd test was succesful i did an ivy.removefromfaction 3e0c8.   Immediate fireworks.

Safe bet that the captive faction might be an easy trick to get things to ignore her completely until you remove it after the recruitment quest is complete.
