Modding help/Request

Hi was wondering if anyone could help me with modding in skyrim as I've gotten stuck with everyone T posing and running Finis, Cleaning dirty mods, and reinstalling mods doesn't seem to be working in the slightest. I have had all the mods working before but everything was all over the place and I was having issues with animations not being added properally so I decided to reinstall everything from scratch to clean everything out but at the moment my only problem has been everyone stuck in T poses and me not being able to do anything about it so either I'm being stupid and missing something obvious that I'm suppose to do or I've got mod conflicts of some kind so any help would be appreciated.

Well, first and foremost, you need to have a steam installed version of the game.  FNIS is hard coded to not work on any game that is not steam installed.

Second, the FunnyBiz animations that have errors are SE versions.

Actually...

This would point to it being a legit (Steam) install of the game. I don't know why, but sometimes you get that warning for no reason whatsoever; as the message reads, it can be safely ignored (provided you do have a legal install, of course) and the way to solve it is to launch Skyrim using the vanilla launcher instead of SKSE. So I don't think this has anything to do with the problem.

^This is probably the reason. Delete all of the FB anims and files and try running FNIS again, see if that fixes it.

You need XPMSE . Alternate start needs to always be at the bottom of your load order xpmse needs to be directly above alternate start .

FNIS Behavior V7.4.4 XXL ...  11/05/2018 11:31:41 PM . I think you need to run Skyrim via steam before installing Mods .

Check if you have down loaded SE mods or Skyrim old 32 bit .

Skeleton(hkx) female: XPMS (242 bones)   male: XPMS (242 bones) . There is a problem with your Skeleton should be I think 115 bones .

Funny Biz create a Funny biz file in data open up funny biz using a zip or rar( I use RAR) . not through Your mod manager . Copy and paste into new funny file in data .

You might use a second Hhd or SSD for gaming . As installing into c:\ x86 is a bit restricted .

Hope this helps  .

This is your game .exe location.  For whatever reason FNIS isn't finding it.

Have you tried starting the game with the regular launcher instead of SKSE?  That sometimes corrects the path.

Posted

Blaze69 has the right of it.

I have always had that warning message about the path with FNIS and I have always ignored it.

The FB animations are obviously the ones throwing up the error messages so the obvious step is to remove them and see what happens. If they are the SE versions then change them for the regular version.

Alternate Start needs to be near the bottom, it does not have to be the last mod regardlless of other factors.

You will need the XMPSE skeleton.

Are you absolutely sure of that?  My understanding is that FNIS needs that path to know where to write the Behavior files.  Without the path, FNIS should fail.

Personally, I have never had the error; so I have no experience with it.  I just want to be sure that I have the right of it.

I think it simply checks the registry to see where Skyrim is installed according to its data. If the path is right, then everything is okay; if it's not and you get the message, it could be due to a harmless error that can be skipped (i.e. the registry data got deleted somehow but your Skyrim is legit) or because you are actually using a pirated version.

For the record, and to quote the FNIS description/FAQ, this is what could cause said registry data to be missing even with a legit Skyrim install:

Quote
  • if you have used "Steam Verify Cache", it might have removed one of the required registry entries. Start Skyrim once through the "Skyrim Launch" (and not through SKSE)
  • or, most likely, a hyperactive registry cleaner (CCLeaner?) has removed the registry entries used for this check

The actual way to tell whether it's legit or not through a FNIS Generator output is to check the Generator path as I did in my post. If it's in a proper Steam folder (i.e. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim" or something that includes "Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim"), it's 99% sure it's legit. If there's no Steam or Steamapps folder at all, it's pirated.

I meant the "Warning: Generator not run from a legal (Steam) Skyrim installation directory. If you use SKSE, this can be fixed by starting Skyrim once through Steam" warning not the "Skyrim 32bit: ??.??.??" error. Sorry for any confusion.

Got it!  Thanks.  ;)

Okay so I've gone through and gotten rid of the animations that have been causing issues in fnis I've also solved the directory issue by launching skyrim through steam and I've changed the Xp32 maximum Skeleton for the Xp32 maximum Skeleton extended. However SLDefeat seems to be having an animation problem now and T posing hasn't changed.

So anybody got any ideas what to do next that might fix the problem?

Double check that you are using the right Sexlab Defeat.  I downloaded both and had this same error when I went back to reinstall my mods.

Double-check. I have both Oldrim and SE versions of multiple plugins and got them mixed up, checking to ensure that I was using 5.3.5, with its file dates of early 2016 fixed it.
