AgentCarolina Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Right, so usually when i play vidya i always watch youtube videos on my second monitor. But I CANNOT get fallout 4 to sit right with games. I know it's much more demanding than skyrim but.... Skyrim with Rudy and Running lots of grass and 4k textures is fine but Fallout 4 with NAC and PRC isn't? I should also add i have 6gb of VRAM and 16gb of ram itself. I know fallout 4 is going to need about 8 or more of my ram but it's ONE google chrome tab >.>
VonHelton Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 I'm not understanding what you want. There are several ways to optimize Fallout 4.
2Dimm Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 i just gave up with fallout 4, vanilla with a enb i can get a solid 60 fps, but start adding some mods and the fps just goes down hill besides ini tweaks, your only option is to use less mods and a less intense enb...

Guessssssssss im just going to give up on fallout 4
Durante Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 I've tried optimizing through ini tweaks and dxcpl etc, it doesn't change much for a low end system. Have you tried optimizing the game textures themselves? I've heard they're pretty high quality and demanding on FO4
guk Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 PRC + NAC has actually very good performance. Did 2 playthroughs with version 0.8D already. Sadly the "black nights" bug makes the current version unplayable. No matter which ENB preset you use - the only thing you have to change is the Shadow Draw Distance. 8500 seems to be the sweet spot between Medium and High.
AgentCarolina Posted May 16, 2018 Author Posted May 16, 2018 the game hits some bleh moments sometimes (could totally be the grass mod im using) I just dislike playing it because of the issue of it freezing/stopping videos from playing
