LesboIsBesto Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 So I have the last version of Skyrim SE before it was updated to the version that introduces the Creation Club and have been able to play normally without updating (my way pf protesting Creation Club, did the same with Fallout 4). But to use the newest version of SKSE64 & future versions later down the road, will I have to update my Skyrim SE for it to work?

What you did is actually very smart I am also still on version 1.5.23 until every mod I use has been updated to the new version. The problem is some of those mods have a few broken features now. So yes it best to wait until the update and mods stabilize before you upgrade.
joenothing12 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 skse reaches into specific memory locations in skyrim, so the versions MUST match. old/new whatever as long as they are treated as a paired set. old versions of skse(64) are probably available if you look in the archives. the team doesn't update old versions however so that will eventually matter.
