Epic Guidebooks anyone? Lovers Quest Book Library WIP

Just a teaser to start off with...   the Guidebook to the Bravil Underground (as fictionally written by Herbert West the Necromancer).  It lists all the quests, with a lot of detail in all but the first listed quests.  And there is a hint in one of the quests where you're PERMITTED to use the console to stand in the right spot.  :smiley:    That one condition has always been a pain.

There's no custom graphics or illustrations in the book.  And the book cannot be found in any bookstore.... just dropped lazily in front of the Bravil Cathedral.  :confused:

Nope, it doesn't cover any Bravil Underground add-ons like Fejeena's extras....

My next endeavor will (LIKELY) be "How to be a Lovers Bitch" :tongue:   Among other mods...

Or does anyone have any similar quest books that could be added???  An Atlas to the Crowning Isles?  The Biography of the Dark Bloodlines?  Shopping at Godiva's Stables?

Well, that took all of a day to write the Lovers Bitch handbook.  But this time, it was written from a different perspective... from Rena's.

Again, this one is pretty plain, no custom covers or illustrations.   And I was lazy in handling where you can find this one too.   I just left it on the steps of Chorrol's Cathedral.

Hey, I'm still wondering if anyone has any walkthroughs to convert.

Anyone for a book on Dark Bloodlines?   Wow, this is becoming the LAPF PRIMA Book series, isn't it?

Yep, no custom covers for this one either.... yet.  And one page is totally blank, so I'm thinking a wicked sexy illustration should go there.  As to the author, it's one of the Chorrol Guilders.  The book can be found thrown around the Great Oak in Chorrol square.  And as to its simultaneous release with the update to the Dark Bloodlines Fix, the work on this book let me notice a couple issues including a bit of misspoken dialog in the original mod.

So again, does anyone have a walkthrough for conversion?    Any thoughts?

The guide books are a great idea.  I do think, though, that to add interest and some extra 'engagement' that there should be more to obtaining them, and perhaps interpreting them, than just finding them on the chapel steps.  (You'd think that the chapel staffs would be horrified and would take them away for burning if they found them first.)

Perhaps a simple, easy "hunt the mcguffin" quest from a suitable character to find them?  Or a suitable bookseller willing to sell them in exchange for some "personal service"?

It may only have taken you a morning to write them, but there's a lot of work to generating this sort of work.  It seems wasteful to just dump them on the chapel steps.

Just a thought,   Trippy

SURPRISE!

Just taking a brief vacation from REALITY here.    RL issues still taking hold right now, but I am popping in to say "HI"

"HI"  :D

The Chapel drop-offs are just temporary placeholders.   The books will be for sale in four locations with fairly price costs.  But when you deal with anything from Condom-House publishing, what can you expect?  Random House wouldn't touch them.

And there will be more than just a couple.  I only just got back to this, but they will have custom covers and some entertaining artwork within them.  Some will have even more content than expected.  As a teaser, let me state that one book boasts 100 pages, and has an actual 'Forward' before even getting to a Table of Contents.  Finding art suitable.... a pain....

TO BE CONTINUED.....

For those who had interest, I published the Lovers Prima Books Series 1 mod which contains Guide Books for five different mods.  However, I did point out that it was 'Series 1'.    The books in the official mod are in book stores, not on chapel steps.

Now in the works is the second series.  And to start it off, I present the first book... M'aiq's Little Black Book.  It is basically a Prima book for Lovers Situations, and it includes extra content for a version which fejeena had attached.  This book is just thrown on the ground around a house at Pell's Gate.   Probably fell out of M'aiq's pocket at the time.

I wonder if anyone noticed each book has an 'author' that's a character from the mod in question.

ETA:?  Real Life doesn't permit that :P

Lady Drad  (Repeatable if you have Disposition >= 70 and choose the right dialog at the end of the first meeting . ( you found a letter of her old lover , so you offer her to be her new lover. )   You only have one chance during the first meeting!!!

Skjorta ( Repeatable if you have 3 bottles of Mead )

Owyn (Arena) was add by ger4, not me. I made it repeatable.  Also Naspia Cosma Quest is from the ger4 version.

I will create a "Lovers Situations fejeena edition" page this week  ( if LL works )

Hey, here's hoping. ^_^  And let's be optimistic.

OH, and you forgot something.  The book has a disclaimer:  "Editor's note: We cannot validate all of the claims by M'aiq the Liar. There was a lot of Moon Sugar involved."

Of course, the final product will have a custom book sleeve and artwork.  Though finding reasonably decent pictures of a Khajiit with a lot of women will be hard.

I'm gonna need a lot more pics now.

Besides shots of a very amorous Khajiit running through the streets of Cyrodiil, I now need to find a lot of Horse pics.

I'm kinda working on a prima for Horse Rider now.  This time, the 'author' is not someone from the Mod, because that would either be Godiva or some hot teenage girl in Bruma.  So... I came up with the name of some Dunmer girl who formerly worked as a pole dancer or something (yeah, a little backstory for the author :P ).  So if the Prima for Horse Rider reads like a porn novel at times, she writes what the knows (or from a whole lot of recent reading).

Oh, and I'm gonna need a very sexy pic of the Dark Elf author.  After her adventures, she's certainly not a prude anymore.  Though she probably would smack Bongond upside his head for his comments.

I wonder what's next after that.  Trying to do them in 5 Volume sets, and that's just TWO done.

.... Dark Lessons?  Naw.  Only about half-way done.

.... Daedra Seed?  Meh.  Not really a quest as an effect.

.... Claudia?  Yeah, no.  All the LAPF stuff I have, it would go and not work, right?  Kinda intrigued though.

.... Fanged Revenge?  Haha.  Mebby?  Imagine a sexy Dark Brotherhood assassin getting her kicks that way?

:/  There's not as many actual "QUESTS" made for Lovers, is there.

HISTORY CHANGE IN THE WORKS!!!!!  And some backstory too.  The author is Ocheeva herself, relaying how she joined the brotherhood with her first kill in the Market District to get the brotherhood's attention.  And the History change?  An Imperial cover-up.  A death requested of the Brotherhood, one for a Royal so high up it hasn't been seen since Pelagius the First's assassination almost four hundred years before!

If you thought some Prima Books were padded, this one is gonna be thick!  There's not much to Fanged Revenge. So trying to get something relatively decent is going to be hard.  But at least it's not gonna be as thick as the Dr. Kingsley series.

Ah, for the multiple quest options of Bravil Underground or Crowning Isles.... *sigh*

Oh, and yeah... Ocheeva does not say where the Sanctuary is, nor the name of her egg-mate, the names of others in her group, nor secrets of the Brotherhood. Only herself, and that she's a shadowscale... and a minor mention off-hand of a particular Saxhleel now outcast.  Yep, I'm using the Argonian name they use for themselves.  Hey, if Louis de Pont du Lac could give an interview and reveal all the Vampire Secrets before Lestat de Lioncourt ever could, why not Ocheeva?

Link to comment

Well, the next book... begins with an excerpt from one of the chapters.  ☺️

LADY SAURIA

Mistress of the Brotherhood

by Ocheeva

"Near the chapel, there was an unmistakable scent of cat. An inn ran by one we entered, and Otumeel ordered a bottle of cheap wine before going into the back to sit. Scared he was. Said that he once visited the castle at night, but only once. In the cellars he heard the cries of our own, and the heavy iron smell of blood. It was enough to make him quicken his leave." - Ocheeva

Yeah, the next book might be a bit.... intense.  Written like a novel with ... yeah, stuff...  *COUGH*  .... happening to her.  And explanatory paragraphs here and there.  I hope the work goes well.  After some research, Ocheeva won't even call her people Argonian.  They are the Saxhleel.

On reflection, it indeed seems like we don't have too many quest mods for lovers. But then I suppose you don't need to restrict yourself to writing only quest guides. Just some introductory writings (with some story) for other types of mods could do well perhaps.

Link to comment

Introductory?  Yeah, this one has straight up porn chapters.  Fanged Revenge doesn't have much in lieu of quest material, so this epic guide has literally been ... fleshed... out.  And I'm hoping to have Argoni--- um...   Saxhleel speak worked out, along her natural distain for the buildings of men and mer and a preference on what would be in Black Marsh.

Yeah, I was hitting the IMPERIAL LIBRARY SITE for a few references and timeline story content.

May merciful Stendarr protect me.  I have just finished the actual text for 'Lady Sauria' by Ocheeva herself.  This book is the *cough* guide for LoversFangedRevenge, a small little mod with a small quest.  But Mara preserve me, this one is HUGE!

Because of the small content of the quest, I decided to write this as if it was a journal of one of the Dark Brotherhood, from when she acquired the item and how she found out how it was used.  But now a novel, this is the largest book, almost 200 pages long!  Only in small sections within will you find 'Quest Notes" pointing out what you, the player, need accomplish.

I hope no one is a prude around here.  Things get pretty heated.  Condom House Publishing will not lay claim that the content is 100% original.  Some may have been gleaned from other works of steamy fiction.

But there was quite some studying to put references to Tamriel history into the work. And note that Ocheeva's writing style is a bit similar to M'aiq's.... yoda-speak at times. But at least Argonians do recognize themselves as I or Me, rather than using their own names in their speech patterns.

Being a pre-cursor upload, it is just an exp without pictures or cover art. I'm still looking for pics of a Dunmer who has an affinity for horses, and a Khajiit that loves the ladies.  Now I need to find a very sexy Argonian not afraid to bare it all.

? Yeah, I even added a nice family trait since the Queen of Wayrest has one eye blue, the other green.  Not just her blonde hair.  gra-Esana is not a fully Orcish name, Esana being based more on her Breton heritage.

I just kinda ran with it when I handled the Caliph of Taneth.  Okay, she 'handled' it.

Oh, and there's a file out there about the various Khajiits.  It seems the human-like Ohmes types have no penile barbs.  Or that the more feline they are, the more spiky the sex.  I ran with that.

Been adding pics to the books.

Pics for Ocheeva's story... not TOO hard.  Though argonian on argonian was a bitch.  The only 'illustrated' version was guy on guy?  Yikes.  I had to take a knife and perform some surgery on *her*.  And whoever heard of a blue or pink Argonian?  Weird.

Another was a toughie, the one for Horse Rider.  Yeah, I made the author a hot dumner girl.  So finding picks of hot dark elf sex was easy.  Finding picks of a hot dumner getting nailed by a horse.... not so easy.  Finding  *ANY* pick of anyone screwed by a Skeletal Horse.... non-existent.

And M'aiq seems to be afraid of a camera.  Finding a female Khajiit being randy, no problem.   But the males seem to only  luv their feline femme companions rather men or mer.  Oh, I found some 'harsh' luvin' by a Khajiit male  (love spines on his shaft), but almost all are matching femme khajiits (almost).  I took to slice n dice from a couple other picks.   Wish me luck.  They're line art.

STILL... 3 books down.  Estimated 2 more to go (I hope).

Once upon a time, in a land called Hentai Foundry, there lived a chap named Major Ward.  And Major Ward was a fellow who drew nothing but Cat-Person on Cat-Person line-art sex scenes. In some cases, fairly harsh because cats have penile barbs and they scrape.  And though not citizens of Tamriel, Major Ward's models looked remarkably like Khajiit.  Now while this is all well and good, Manor Ward didn't draw any women that weren't feline, except one subject who is not exactly appealing.

But not far from where Major Ward lived, another fellow by the name of Eccentric could be found.  Eccentric's art was typically line-art colored in flat colors, and usually the human or humanlike female subjects were varied (though almost always asian). Whether he is related to another fellow named Temon whose art style matches, but was banned for loli art, who knows?  However, Eccentric used an underlying line-art that was akin to Major Ward's.

So these two ventured alone and found themselves in the waiting halls of Condom House Publishing at the bequest of M'aiq the Liar.  He needed some pics for his Little Black Book and promised to pay the two a veritable fortune.  So the two got to work.  Eccentric took his art and bleached it out so only the line art of his girls remained present, and pasted their heads over those of the buxomous Cat girls in Major Ward's pieces.  And Major Ward worked on touching up the artwork, removing feline fur patterns from the girls, making them fully human in appearance.

So M'aiq now has  several pages of artwork within his little black book just waiting to be published when Condom House releases Volume 2 of the Prima series.

And of the money promised by M'aiq to be paid to Major Ward and Eccentric?  Well, he's not called M'aiq the Liar for just giggles, right?

Still wondering what the last two QUEST books are going to be about.

Oh, it's not the actual book generation.  It's the actual prose and content.... and any available quest mods worthy.

There's a pair of small quests of a sort in Lovers Prostitutes,  The quest in 'The Violator' after encountering some daedra seems too buggy to me.  And is learning magic from a succubus even a quest in Lovers Magic?

Link to comment

LoversMagic add a Book with all spells... so what new can you add in a book ? How to cast a spell or read the dialogues with the succubus?

----------------------

The Violator has in my game only one bug.  Yes, during the beginning when you have to kill the daedra who hunt you a problem with a quest/script update.

But wasn't the bug fixed in the final version?

Other problems I only had because I use Unique Landscapes.

But I don't use the Mod now. (not installed)  After I played the quest there was nothing I needed. The weapon was fun for some days.

I only downloaded the Violator recently.  So unless something happened to the fixed version.... nope, not fixed.  I had that same problem too.

I'm lookin' at another Galgat mod.  Same dialog style.  Same very lengthy quests as there was in the Isles. Very little control you have during some sessions.  And due to its age, issues with some incorrect sex poses (such as oral sex using a missionary pose).

Oh, and Prima Books Set 1 will have some 'Second Printings'.  Some of the books did not have 'Places of Interest', and others didn't have 'items of note'.  Ya know... for the powergamer types.

Okay... the roster for Prima Series 2:

*  Lovers Horse Rider

*  Fanged Revenge

*  Lovers Situations

*  LoversGGBlackmail  (though incomplete)

.............. I hate to say this, but I think all 'Lovers-based' quests have been researched.  I mean, The Violator is too buggy in my view, DaedraSeed isn't even a quest, Pay Bandits is basically Dark Bloodline stripped down to the bone, the quests inLoversProstitutes are just too short, and there's nothing in the Immoral series to work with.

The editor at CondomHouse is currently reviewing some 2nd printing rewrites
