The version number it;s expecting is from the oldrim version not the SE version.

You need to go to the first post in this thread and download 'Schlongs_of_Skyrim_SE - v1.0.3.7z'  remove the version you've installed and install the 1.0.3 version.

The reason for the -1 is that SKSE is 64bit code and the oldrim SOS is 32bit and because of that the SOS dll isn't being loaded so when the sos scripts check for the version number it fails and defaults to -1.

Some oldrim mods will work on SSE without changes but not if they have a script extender plugin.

It is a common basic savvy LE mods are not compatible with SSE and vice versa.

Is latest version of SSE SOS (skse 2.0.12) working for you?  If it's working for other people then at least I know it's on my end.    My issue is different than the one you're responding to

Something happened just now. The Addons went missing from the MCM. Making my PC schlongless.

1 - I tried restart SOS in MCM, did not work. It unregistered the 'missing contents' but did not register anything. Only the SOS.esp.

2 - I reinstall SOS, with all Addons, it restored.

3 - So far, yeah, it worked for me.

Why? Did you experience anything?

Hey guys. I wanna get SoS working on Skyrim Vr but I get perma-undies. I've disable all other mods with MO2 and I'm running SKSE VR. please help.

Anyone have a copy of SOS for 1.5.53? I only have internet on my phone right now, so I figured I could download this mod through the phone and copy it over, but I don't have a way to update my game for a little bit.

Does anyone know a way to manually set a piece of armor/clothing as revealing? I have a two-piece modded chest piece and can set revealing through MCM on one of the pieces but not the other, resulting in the armor no longer being revealing.

From my experience these days people tend to just throw anything in their game without looking at not only the requirements but if it's updated or outdated.

One thing about modding, it takes a lot of work to make sure it functions as it supposed to and does not crash the game. There are plenty superb mods out there. Like seriously, if the 255 wasn't the limitation, I would have installed a lot of them.

Nowadays, I tend to add mod that can give multiple value in one esp. Like multiple followers in one mod like TFollowers 1, 2 and 3 ported by bchick, multiple game enhancement functions like T'Skyrim by mnikjorm. Just to make sure I have more available slots for future installment.

The requirements and description plus the comment section will help solve a lot of problems. I just hope people take their time to read.

Have fun with care and be responsible.

Can't do that, it will whine about XMPSE or whatever it's called conflicting with this... This entire mod just needs updated to even be compatible with XMPSE.

Care to elaborate? You lost me there. Thank you.

Upon installing the latest version of XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended, and SoS. Vortex keeps whining both are conflicting with each other, via the skeletons. No wonder a lot of people are having issues with this mod... it's not compatible with XP32 Special Edition..

I see. The reason I do not share the same problem is because I use MO2. I have no experience with Vortex so I have no comment there.

MO2 has not detect any disagreement between SOS SE and XP32 Maximum Skeleton SE. And I can enjoy SOS SE no problem.

Like I said, after the update, the addons went missing. All 3 of them. After I uninstall and reinstall, it became normal again.

Seems that the latest update impacted SOS SE for Vortex user. I can be wrong, there may be a solution for this.

You literally just have to resolve the conflicts inside Vortex so that XPMS loads after SOS. I have SOS SE working in my game with Tempered Skins and XMPSE on Vortex with no issues. Vortex works like Mod Manager. You just have to learn how to use it correctly.

The load order then. Put XPMS below SOS SE right?

Whenever you install a new mod in Vortex that overwrites other mods, Vortex will report that they're conflicting. It's not really the .esp order, but the actual mesh, texture, etc. files are the same. On the old NMM, you'd just install the mods in the order you wanted and overwrite. With Vortex, like in Mod Manager, you want to manually resolve the conflicts. Click the option in the alert to show the conflicts and it will list all the mods conflicting with the mod you just installed. Drag the newest mod onto each of the listed ones and a window will pop up to let you resolve the conflict, (Load before, load after, etc.) You'll always want XPMSE to load last. As you resolve each conflict, the mods will disappear from the list. Then you can click Deploy to redeploy the mod and it should deploy without the error message.

After installing 1.03 start to have conflicts between bandoliers and armor - more precisely - side left (pouches) and armor. If i equip one, the game un-equip the other, with hilarious results for followers - because said bandolier apparently is preferred to armor - you get Lydia naked for example.

You have one chance and one chance only to apologize. I had no idea I owe you something.

So, about older versions. At the time of writing this, the officially supported version of the game is 1.5.62 and the officially supported version of SKSE is 2.0.12. I don't know about the game, but SKSE does have some fixes. As a result, the mod will use the latest versions of everything, and this will be the case always. Read up on the software development process and it will be clear why. I have absolutely no intention of opening the can of worms that is multiple versions available at the same time, a casual glance at the posts in this thread will make it abundantly clear what happens with only one version available.

So UNLESS there is a good technical reason to revert, such as crashes, missing functionality, weird behaviours etc, this is the deal you get. Take it or leave it.

It is no one else's responsibility to manage your game, that falls upon you. Whatever issues you have with the latest version of the game are between you and your psychologist, I don't accept any part in it.

I mean if I offended you anyway then I apologize it was not my intention. But you do understand the spot Im in? And Im sure its hard for you to mod and what not but ya...sorry

Make sure you have actually installed SOS SE and not the Oldrim one.

Huge thanks for keeping this mod updated. Works perfectly for me.

Anyone still having problems, make sure you're also running the latest SKSE64 and that RaceMenu is updated as well.
