Constant CTDs

I've been trying to get my fresh install of skyrim to work now for nearly 3 days. I've uninstalled and reinstalled all my mods twice now and tired LOOT and manual load orders. I enabled logging but the last thing in my logs always seem to be different.

Log 0 which waas the most recent.

[Zad]: adding tag Metal for Steel Yoke

[03/01/2018 - 10:15:42PM] [Zad]: adding tag Metal for Golden Cuffs (Padded) (Arms)
[03/01/2018 - 10:15:42PM] [Zad]: adding tag Arms for Golden Cuffs (Padded) (Arms)

This one is about DD devices but I've had one to do with creature frameworks, SOS, SGO... My game just seems to crash mid processes so I dont think the logs help as they are not related. I just dont know what to do and I feel like im close to just giving up on it. I've also had some when using showracemenu (i have the prechae killer installed too) upon stating and midway through changes.

My current load order is LoadOrder_Skyrim_2018-03-01T22-25-11.txt

Thanks for any help

I'm still getting CTDs in exterior areas. I've purged a bunch of (what I believe to be script heavy) mods but still no luck. I even uninstalled frostfall which was what I was reinstalling to play. Current load order is LoadOrder_Skyrim_2018-03-02T15-41-48.txt

Can anyone else identify any script heavy mods (I know a few of them are but the more obscure ones)

Im also not sure this is script based as Im running less mods with scripts than before the clean install.

Your load order is a mess as has already been said. My advice would be to start again and use something like the S.T.E.P. guide to get yourself a stable, basic setup then go from there.  Make sure you use LOOT and make sure you have all the dependencies for the mods you use.

If you are new to modding then do some reading.

I have been using LOOT and I have already checked the mods for being the most recently up to date and checked that I have their dependencies. I will look into STEP and I'm currently in the process of installing a few mods at a time, run the game for a bit and wait for crashes. If none increase the number of mods.

Are you using NMM ? You need to have it closed and then use the Loot program.

Loot has trouble sorting mods while NMM is still open, at least it did way back when I used NMM.

That's no longer the case.

Have you created a Merge and Bashed Patch using Tesv Edit, and Wyre Bash? That tends to help me whenever I start experiencing CTDs

No I haven't. I've only used TESV Edit for cleaning before and not used Wyre bash before. Correct me if I'm wrong but would the merging actually help as it's just combining separate esp. into one? I'm still reinstalling/ testing my mods in batches (got through 70 so far) with a note of the current load order and looking out for cashes to hopefully identify the issue exactly. If I somehow miss it or something else goes wrong I will definitely look into Wyre Bash and merging, thank you.

Creating a Merged patch is mainly only useful if you want to go over the max amount of mods which is like 255. If you don't do it right, you can end up with more problems than you had originally. A Wrye Bash Bashed patch for Skyrim is easier to make and can be helpful in the long run but it wont likely help you with your crashes.

You said that you are in the process of installing a few mods at a time, that is an excellent way to go about fixing your crashes. It takes longer but you will know what causes the crashes when you add the problematic mods.

If you want to make a Bashed Patch, Install Wrye Bash and it  should put an empty bashed patch at the end of your load order. Right click on it and select make/rebuild bashed patch. A screen will pop up letting you select what to include in the patch. Skyrims patch is pretty basic. You can select stuff on the left. I personally select everything on the left except alias mod names.  It will want to merge some smaller files like Havok Breast Physic.esp if you have it and thats ok.

Well I'm now done with a total of 216 plugins (and 6 days spent on it) . I didnt find the issue specifically but I believe it was possibly due to bad NMM uninstalls (I checked my scripts folder and there were a bunch from mods that were no longer installed). I think that the Crash Fix has probably helped too. I installed and set it up at about 180 plugins or so and the game seems to run better after I did that. If anyone is interested or having similar problems my final load order is LoadOrder_Skyrim_Test14_Safe_Final.txt

Thanks to those that helped.
