Distorted Tits and Ass

Hey guys!

I've been trying to move to HDT bodies, but I cannot for the life of me get it to function the way it's supposed to.  I get this dreadful belly and body warping and following the advise from other people who have had similar issues (albeit years ago) I know that it's something to do with the skeleton not meshing right.  But I cannot for the life of me figure out what the exact problem is.

Here is my load order- I know for a fact that all of the relevant mods are fully updated.  Am I doing bodyslide wrong?  I'd appreciate any tips and I can write out what I do step by step if anyone has any ideas!  Attached is a screenshot of my exact problem.

Thanks in advance!

Make sure you have EXACTLY those two mods installed.  Make sure XPMSE is the last thing you install, so that NOTHING overwrites it.

Yup, I've done that multiple times, reinstalling all of my mods while making sure that XPMSE was the very last.  I'm still running into the same issue.  And it's those exact mods- the most recent builds too!

When you say "XPMSE was the very last", you mean "the last in the load order" or "the last mod I install over the others"? You probably mean the latter (which is the right way), but we might as well ask in case you don't.

Ok, this is a problem I also had.

This is how I did it:

I never had a problem with Load Order. Just run LOOT.

In the Mod Organizer left window, I use All in One Animated Pussy.

The Priority is:

3 ALL in One Animated Pussy (Body) (comes last. Priority is the largest number)

2 XPMSE

1 HDT Realistic Force (comes first. Priority is the lowest number of the three)

I know I had the problem before and I fixed it with the Priority (what overwrites what) and by also making sure all mods are up to date...

This is at least how I did it and made it work. And its of course only for ALL in One...

I meant both- I've been reinstalling all of the following mods in this order:

Installing CBBE 3.3
Installing Realistic Force
Installing HDT PE
Installing HDT Breast and Butt Physics

Installing XPMSE

Building the bodies in bodyslide, using the HDT CBBE Curvy Body, while making sure it matches with the HDT Devious Devices.  It builds without issue- then running FNIS.

Making sure XPMSE is the very last thing in the load order- manually dragging it to the bottom if necessary, with SD+ just before it.

The only thing I can imagine (if you dont' mind peeking through my load order) is that one of the other mods might conflict with XPMSE?  But having XPMSE installed last should overwrite it no?  Incidentally, when I reinstall everything, I do NOT get asked to rewrite- only if I want to merge/replace the pre-existing files, etc.

Or do I need to delete the mods, and then re-download and install them freshly?  I'm grasping at straws here x_x.

Your issue is caused by a wrong skeleton (read: anything that isn't XPMSE). So either 1) something else is somehow overwriting the XPMSE skeleton files with the wrong ones, 2) XPMSE files are not being properly installed, or 3) the path for the skeleton in the race data is not the vanilla one. Point 3) could be caused by some custom races, but since it seems to affect all NPCs in your game I'd say that is not an option. That only leaves 1 or 2.

If you use Mod Organizer, could you go to the Data tab (right list) and navigate to the "meshes/actors/character/character assets female/" folder? Should list all the files there and the mod they come from, so you should be able to see if XPMSE's files are missing or are being overwritten by something else.

Pretty sure a simple way would be.

Step 1. Reinstall XPMSE, and let it overwrite everything.

Step 2. Run Loot, and dont manually change anything in the load order.

Step 3. Run FNIS.

Step 4. Enjoy the game.

I've been doing that, but it hasn't made a difference.  Perhaps I'm installing the wrong Skeleton? I've been installing the Skeleton Rig Map (HDT)  I do run loot, but it keeps putting XPMSE higher in the load order, and from everything I've read, people say that should be last.

And yes, I do run FNIS :P.

And for step 4, no such luck it seems :frown:

The XPMSE.esp file only takes care of some game parameter edits, adding the skeleton/bone sliders to RaceMenu, and the MCM menu with the weapon placement options and some other misc fixes. It doesn't matter where it's loaded, and it's completely safe to put it higher in the load order.

What needs to load last and overwrite anything else are the skeleton files themselves (i.e. the Meshes folder with all the .hkx and .nif files).

The load order doesn't matter, it doesn't even matter if you have the .esp enabled at all. XPMSE MUST overwrite everything on install, though. No clue how to enforce that with NMM, i use MO.

I also use MO! Is there a way to make sure the XPMSE is enforced with the .hkx and .nifs?

If you use MO, just move XPMSE all the way down on the left side and you're done. Well, and check/empty your overwrite folder, don't forget to rerun FNIS if that output is in overwrite only.

*edit: before moving XMPSE down, make sure it's sorted by priority. That's default, but somewhere is a button to change the order to alphabetical or something...

Try this:

Also make sure the XPMSE folder has the highest value in the Priority field; in normal/default conditions (i.e. ordered by priority in descending order), that also means it's at the bottom of the list, but if you have changed the order criteria of the tab somehow, that could mean it's actually not overwriting other mods even if you see it at the bottom.

EDIT: ninja'd by Nazzzgul.

Holy shit, I think it's finally working!

Thank you so much you guys.  God I love this community

It works! Thank you so much.  I just have one very last question- is HDT breast and butt physics necessary, or does HDT PE handle all of that by itself?

Posted

HDT-PE provides the hook for physics outside of specially coded world objects.  The rest is handled by the various mods.  You don't need HDT Breast and Butt, as the meshes you get from BodySlide already have HDT physics attached (assuming you build one of the physics bodies instead of one of the static bodies).
