Because of this ban a lot of good mods have been removed publicly. The monstergirl thread, the punished, the sexus thread and more. People should re-upload them somewhere. I (and others) never got a chance to download them.

He got banned for breaking copyright due to moving assets from other games. That's a big no no which can get this site shut down. Plus he kept going on about child sex.

 

This is the statement from the admin confirming why he was banned.

 

He mainly got banned for copyright violations in his mods. Using assets from other games in your mod is piracy, blatantly illegal, and a good way to bring the ire of Bethesda down on you, the attention of whom we'd rather avoid.

 

LoversLab has a strict no instant ban policy. We will always issue warnings first. He was given his warnings for copyright violations, he responded with further provoking and forced our hand to go to the next step. He had been openly provoking us to ban him for ages it should hardly come as a shock that we finally did what he wanted us to do. Openly posting about being pro child sex certainly didn't help though.

 

He thinks he's fighting some sort of holy war against us, and that by us banning him he's winning. He proves nothing but his own instability. We've never done anything to him but give warnings for clear established rule violations, we weren't hounding him day by day like he thinks we were, we left him alone to his work and even rewarded him for good work with contributor. LoversLab will move on just fine, just as it did with prophour.

if you wanted to make some mods its fine , if im that modder i could rename the file different make different tweaks so it doesn't looked like in the game itself let alone making it, remember it's a mod you do not claim u make it because u basically use asset from other game as far as i know there's is no such thing is " mod piracy" because we rigged them using the game skeleton it's still original if the skeleton and animation are from other game then its illegal there's huge difference but child sex wtf are this person have mental problem.

Triratna had personal reasons for the ban, none which were a fight against LL. He mentioned this much on another forum. He just had a lot of shit on his plate, plus not to mention his depression and mood swings. Either way, we lost some good mods and a talented modder.

Moving assets is ok, unless owner says you that it isn't. - If you aren't selling them, and moved assets wont let you recreate full product similar to that which you taken them. Then it is ok. (does my sentence make sense? lol)

 

Even sometimes you can recreate full product if it is non profit and owner doesn't have objections.

Clearly says in the EULA for the games and under the Copyright act.

Tri forced the mods' hands with his last post. I'm not sure why he did it, but that post leads me to believe he feels he has achieved something by getting banned.

 

Even without the copyrighted material, he brought child pornography up despite being given a 50% ban warning a long time back (he posted a picture of it, including the reason).

 

He was talented, his mods will be missed, but all things considered I think he could have been a little more considerate and not step on the mods' toes.

EU law doesn't apply - this is an American site, so the applicable law is US federal, state, and local common law. Not that EU law is that much more permissive, it's just a lot more confusing

 

LL needs to protect itself from the hammer coming down - especially for copyright & pedo reasons. A modder who won't understand that shouldn't expect to be around long. Talented or not.

Who cares? Exactly nobody. There are tons of places where game rips are used for non-profit without any repercussions. The only reason the nexus are so draconian about it is due to their commercial ambitions.

^ I wholeheartedly agree with this. Hell, I've no idea since when the mods and LL in general cared about using assets from other games, when most of the armor & weapons available for download are from games like Aion, TERA and Lineage.

Copyright was just one issue. Triratna wanted to be banned and set about to do it with a vengeance. I will not repeat some of the crap that he/she (never figured out which) said but suffice to say it was an auto eject.

 

I feel bad for Triratna, not for the banning, but rather for how disturbed this person is. I only hope that they get the treatment they need to get a handle on their life.

 

I will miss Triratna and I will miss the nifty mods that he made. However, life moves on and so should we.
