@myuhinny I first want to both apologize for having been such a pest while thanking you for being such a marvelous hostess. I have been struggling all morning, have followed your very clear instructions and with no success but have not given up. I do not wish to take up any more of your time (for fear my ineptitude could have me expelled!). But I am learning quite a bit and will update this post with what I find.

First thing I noticed:

@yatol I may well misunderstand your point but it appears the bsdismemberskin vertices far excede the nitrishape number of vertices here as well on Tiwa44Minidresses' original outfit.

a ring with 500 verticles will have 1000 verticles in the bsdismember (500 for that finger bone, 500 for hand bone, finger follow the hand)

you make the ring skimpy and it lose 300 verticles

if there's still 500 verticles for finger bone, meshe can't be load

 

and that's the nif you post after i said using .obj, you would have a bsdismemberkin mismatch
