When I download the Mod there is no Installer and I have watched many videos and they all say that that is the thing that I need to make it work. When I go into game it doesn't work so I thought that is the problem because I don't have the installer. Someone please help me I just want the Mod to work!!

Not sure what videos you're watching, but WW doesn't have an installer and Windows Installer is obsolete with the likes of WinRAR available. You just need to download the zip file, then unpack the files into your mod folder and enable the mod in-game through the options menu.

I have the same problem. I've totally wiped the entire Sims 4 off my system and started from scratch twice. I have no "wicked" options, just the basic woohoo options. Every video I see on youtube as well talks about clicking on the installer. The installer in the file doesn't find the Electronic Arts file even though it's there. I've found installer.exe files to download but they say there are missing parts to them when I try to use them. Anyone have any ideas that would work or found a way to get the mod to function the way it shows it does?

I'm currently having this same problem. The windows optional auto installer is not in the file and so it won't activate in game. I've downloaded multiple times and same thing. The game keeps telling me a file is missing and that's because I don't have the installer to activate it.  This is what I'm not getting.

where is the windows optional auto installer? it was missing in the last and the current update.

From what I've heard it's been removed and I confirmed by looking at my fresh download.

I've never used it anyway.

All you have to do is extract the zip file and copy/paste the two files named TURBODRIVER into a folder named Wicked in your Mods folder.

Or use the existing Wicked folder if you have one.

Or just Copy/Paste the extracted Whicked** folder into your Mods folder.

Make sure you don't have any duplicate versions of Wicked in your Mods folder.

why is it being removed when it's the most essential part of wicked whims? That auto installer runs all the mods smoothly.

I mean I get that there was a recent base game update and many mods are taking a major hit right now until they're updated.

also, most of the mods I have currently were updated last month and they're all in my mods files. The Turbodriver is in the mod file that says wicked whims.

The auto-installer is not essential. Wicked Whims, like all other script mods, installs just by placing the script file in the mods folder.

all script, animation, UI extension,  MCCC, etc. are in my mod file.

But taking out auto installer doesn't make the mods run the same way. That's just what I'm trying to say.

Well I think Tons of other Mod users would disagree with that.

My game still runs the way it always has, including the EA game bugs that never get fixed.

Folder structure may have something to do with it, possibly load order.

Best to use 1 folder per Mod, either by general category or the Name of the Mod.

Much easier to track down bad mods and update or remove them.

Body Parts

Clothing

Eyelashes

Hairstyles

Makeup

MCCC (For all the MCCC files)

Skins_Overlays

UICheats

Wicked (2 TURBODRIVER files only in here)

Wicked Animations (All Animations go here)

ETC.

Just dumping everything into your Mods folder is not a good habit and could even cause some problems IMO.

If your game doesn't run the same then you may have some other issues going on.

Learn how to properly extract files.

Sounds a bit fishy as he managed to install some other mods just fine and as far as I know they all download in the compressed zip format.

actually, I'm a she. I do download most of the mods as they come in compressed zip format.

I move them into my mods file for the sims 4, where I extract them and they become their own file folder afterwards.

I just recently downloaded the winrar zip archive and tried to figure it out myself. (it was frustrating for the most part on my end.)

look, it's easy for you guys because you've manage to figure how to do it without the auto installer for probably quite some time now

but for those of us who used  the window optional installer, it takes some time for us to try and adjust without the auto installer.

maybe if you're up for it, you guys can make a youtube video to showing how to make the mods work properly for the sims 4 without the optional auto installer.

It would truly be helpful if you guys did. Please and Thank You.

(Also, here's proof of the mods I have already extracted as their own file folder.)

Sorry about the gender.

There are already youtube videos about how to mod Sims 4 and since you did just fine installing other mods without a crutch I don't understand the problem.

Mods are Mods and they all get extracted and installed the same way.

BTW you should delete your other duplicate WickedWhimsMod folder or you'll have more problems.

And you can also clean up your Mods folder a bit, Make a new folder named Wicked Animations and move all the animation files into one place.

Don't use any other folders inside though.

UICheats should be updated to v1.17

Scarlets Mods Faster Homework should be checked for update.

Basemental and MCCC also are now updated

I am honestly looking for an answer too. Since the Installer is missing I am somehow not able to see wickedwhims stuff ingame. I started playing after a few months and had to reinstall everything etc. I managed to unpack everything and dragged it into the mods folder but- somehow it's not automatically activated ingame??

Not sure why it's like that but if this is a new way to start the mod- how do I start the mod ingame?

Did you go into game settings/other and enable both boxes for scripts and mods?

If your mods are are extracted and installed correctly it should work.

Your Mods folder should have a folder named WickedWhims** inside and it should only have 2 files inside named TURBODRIVER.

1 ts4script and 1 tuning .package and anything else should be removed.

Wicked also needs some animations downloaded.

Make a new folder in Mods named Wicked Animations and put them in there.

If you updated your game just recently it disabled your mods.

Go into your Sims 4 game settings/other menu and look for the two boxes named mods and scripts, they are on the lower left side of the menu.

You should install only 2 WW files named TURBODRIVER ***, one is a .package and one is a script.

The other extra files can be deleted.

Make sure you don't have those 2 files located in a sub-folder too deep.

Should be /Mods/WickedWhimsMod/ 2 files only in here.

Make another folder in Mods named Wicked Animations to copy all the animation files into.
