Crafty Plumbob has been making a useful list which may help but really it's you that has to decide on the style of visuals that do it for you!

I didn't see a post about what dlc can be used with wicked whims, looks like they're is not, thx anyway

If you mean dlc like expansions etc, there aren't any yet as ww currently only needs the base game but never say never as this mod is still under development,

However, some animations do use some items from the expansions as locations,

Some of the more frequently used ones are get to work and romantic garden, city living, bowling and pets

Truly? None. Since WW doesn't introduce any features in any of the expansions.

You definitely don't need any expansion packs with it, but personally I think Vampires works well with it, because Vampires can have the Influence Emotions ability which allows you to make sims in a wide radius up to +8 Flirty, which greatly increases the success chance of romantic interactions (including asking for sex). Their ability to exude an allure aura has a similar effect, and if you want to sex up a stranger but then not have to deal with them having romantic feelings afterwards, the vampire skill Drain Life Spirit wipes the sim's memory, resetting their relationship bars to zero.

The best came already (I hope). I am not rich (damn near poor) but I bought vampires because they said to, and "get together" for the closets (you know, the ones with the holes?)

Everytime I wonder whether to buy a pack, everyone gushes it's the best pack ever.

So anyway (and the reason I am writing)

what do You personally think of "city Living"?

I might buy it, I might buy it before you get a chance to answer....it's not easy being "sims" poor.

I *know* I do not want pets or kids (in general) or pet accessories or roaches.

Anyway if you run across this post, don't judge me for being so picky, I know I should buy all of them, shut up and be grateful.

but if you're feeling generous, tell me, does "city living" make much of a difference with loverslab mods?

Thanks.

Thanks.

If you only play TS4 for WW related mods, then no. If you play TS4 because you genuinely like the game, then you've probably already bought this pack lol.

The City Living pack adds a new neighborhood (San Myshuno), three new careers (politician, social media, and critic), festivals (not customizable), apartments (only in San Myshuno), karaoke bars, art centers, the unflirty and vegetarian traits, the singing skill, a bunch of new lot traits, a bunch of new objects and CAS items, death by pufferfish, and the City Native aspiration.

If all that sounds appealing to you, then buy it (it's on sale, don'tcha know!). If not, don't.

unflirty vegetarian (judgmental non smoking scraggly-beard wearers) who live in new york or san francisco and have seen every woody allen movie ever made,

and keep a comic book (one comic book) on a table as a decoration.

No.

But thank you.

"July 12", how time flies. This thread fell away into obscurity since then, and it's another month, and no one has said "o, get 'city living' for the fantastical mod 'yada-whatever'."

Hardcore users are either modding or playing, not reading this, but I still wonder.

All I know since then is, a pornstar-career mod wants it.

I don't know.

That's the Only mod wanting it?

 "genuinely like the game"

I can't ever "multiquote", I should learn how.

Anyway, I've played the game-sets for years, since maybe very early 2K, and with no mods, just sims-addons like clothes, houses.

But now that there's mods, I sort of concentrate on one aspect.

edit:

Apparently you cannot place apartments on Sulani.

Sulani has few big lots, it would have been great to have sims-friends in a complex.

https://forums.thesims.com/en_us/discussion/900608/no-building-apartments-no-apartments-in-different-worlds-limited-elevators

No reason I can see.

But I asked anyway, for the record.

Without the City Living Expansion, however will you recreate all of your favorite episodes of Sex and the City? How will you live with yourself?

Seriously though, there are only a handful of objects exclusive to City Living which have animation locked to them. One of them is a variant of hot tub and possibly one type of outdoor trashcan. Oh, right, Hookah pipes have an animation or two associated with them.

If you can get it for 50% or more off, it isn't a bad addition to the main game (especially if you want one of your sims to become a singer like R. Kelley or Gary Glitter) but you definitely shouldn't buy it for additional Wicked Whim possibilities (unless you want one of your sims to be a singer like R. Kelley or Gary Glitter).

City Living is possibly a must if you want to get the most out of the Basemental Drug Mod, though.
