Maybe this might help with people that the career not showing up.

 

I was also had problem this career not showing up to young adult.

 

This was what I did before I just fixed the problem right now:

1. Since this career has only, "JM_Careers_erotica.package" file, I thought I could place it to this folder: C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\New folder\New folder (2)\Careers\JM_Careers_erotica

 

2. All other none adult careers + Wicked Job (It had the script file so I also placed both files for that to this folder) were placed directly under this folder: C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods

So, this time, I have removed this career file (package) to this folder: C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods

 

Now, I ran the game and tried to give young adult sim to this career.

 

Guess what happened. Tada~~~~ Now this career shows up in the select a career section.

 

Hope this helped people, who were having problem with this career not showing up.

 

If people already knew this, then wow. Cause I just found out about this.

If people didn't know this, hope this helped them working.

 

* One thing I want to know: This career is only for Young Adult and Older, not for teenager, right?

So, I just checked with latest patch, it works for young adult and older but not for teens.

So, I should guess that this still not working with teen?

Surprisingly this still works with the latest patch that practically broke nearly all custom careers. I wonder if it will ever see an update.

I just realised that the career in my game is all unpaid. Did I do something wrong? I am still new to ST4, only 1 week into this game.

 

Any advice?

You have broken careers mods, either update or remove them.

@Simite I just downloaded the file 1 week ago so I am assuming that there is no need to update this career mod. And it is working for most of the parts, go to work normally and even get promoted as expected. Only all of them are "unpaid" work.

btw I also have another career mod called "OSEX_Careers" they are also showing as "unpaid". If they are broken, how could I fix it? Oh, the other base game careers are still paying normally.

I assume EA modified the tuning to do with wages from work and so any career mod made before the version of the game your using that has not been updated recently is out of date, of course the base game careers work because those are updated by EA in the patches.

Its possible to patch the mods yourself to make them work by using a base game reference from one of the base game careers, add the missing tuning file parts, but unless you've worked with sims tuning files or XML's before you probably wont know how to do this.

Don't hold your breath. There is this alternative though:
