Yeah these are WAY better than mine. I definitely phoned it in when it came to Jynx, mainly just because I'm not huge fan of her so I didn't feel like putting in the time to make a custom body. I'm also not great with drawing women. I love the way you shaped her here! It definitely fits her design, and it's just generally nice to see non-pornstar looking bodies in nude mods. You should post this sprite by itself so Catnatic can update it.

As I've been working on the FireRed dialogue edits, I've always had the looming fear of running out of space, since the data is repointed to a new location any time you make a text box longer than it's supposed to be. But I've learned that apparently FireRed's ROM is about 45% just empty space... So, I have all the room I could ever need really! And I'll now be less afraid to make text edits with more added content. Suggestions for particular NPCs are also welcome!

I dont have an exact line thought up, but i do have a concept for Agatha where she hints at Oak and her being a nudist couple in their youth.

That's a fun one I may be able to use!

Also, I forgot to mention, with all the free space I've got, I may be able to add some extra NPCs with all-new dialogue, maybe even on an all-new little map! We shall see

Here is the first release of the FireRed female nude hack! This hack includes naked sprites (by @Catnatic) for the female protagonist and dialogue edits up to the entrance to Pewter City. I'm releasing just this little taste in order to get some feedback/testing from the community before I proceed into the greater adventure. Give it a try and let me know what you think! There's also a little surprise waiting at the end for those who reach Pewter City!

Required ROM: Pokemon - FireRed Version (USA, Europe)

Use DeltaPatcher to apply this nude patch!

Does this version have the changes to add all the version exclusive pokemon to the wild?

Or is it just the text edits for now?

Do you think you could add some more gen 2 pokemon and make it so that the gen 1 pokemon can get their gen 2 evolutions? (Crobat, Bellossom, Kingdra, etc.)

I always found it strange how they can't evolve until you get the national dex.

All I did with my limited knowledge was change some tables here and there to add Kanto Pokemon to FireRed that are normally only available in LeafGreen. Added Slowpoke, Bellsprout, Staryu, Pinsir, Magmar, etc. It's not much, but, I at least wanted to make it so you can get most of Kanto's Dex filled up.

Made a fun little flavor change to the Running Shoes!

Pokemon - FireRed Female Nude Hack IN PROGRESS-250730-171258.png

This is a broken mess and I love it.

  1. Graphics were messed up for the player character.
  2. Dialogue for NPCs seems to be scrambled.
  3. The girl below the player's house, two of the guys in the Viridian Pokémon Center, and more npcs don't have any dialogue.
  4. Going into the rival's house froze the game on a black screen.
  5. I noticed that the aide in Oak's lab mentioned Daisy being able to groom your Pokémon like in the Johto games. Not a glitch, but I thought that was neat.
  6. Professor Oak's cutscene doesn't trigger and the mart guy is not on Route 1.
  7. You cannot go through the victory road doors. You can go inside the Viridian gym, though.
  8. The old man is already up and the woman near him speaks gibberish.
  9. The battle back sprite looks perfect.
  10. You don't need to get Oak's Parcel to buy from the mart, so you can buy Pokeballs right away, which is the only way to get a Pokemon.
  11. Red is randomly on Route 1 in the trees.
  12. The cut tree on Route 2 is gone, so you can get Flash early. The tree to go to Diglett's Tunnel is also gone. The tree separating Diglett's Tunnel and Flash is still there, so Viridian Forest is still required.
  13. I either had abyssmal luck in encounters, or you can't catch any Pokémon on Route 1, Route 22, Route 2, or Viridian Forest, meaning you are hard walled by the bug catcher right before Pewter City if you don't use cheats or pkhex to give yourself a Pokémon.
  14. The left girl when going into Viridian Forest plays a congratulation sound when you talk to her.
  15. Only some of the Bug Catchers have dialogue when they see you. The others are blank.
  16. Loading the game after saving sometimes just leaves you on a black screen once you progress far enough.
    1. You can still save and reload in your house when you start the game.
    2. I could save and load on route 3.
  17. Healing your Pokémon at the Pokémon Center straight up crashes the game. You get booted out and everything.
  18. Pokémon can be caught in Diglett's Tunnel.
  19. Going into the Route 2 grass above Viridian Forest freezes the game.
  20. I entered the Viridian Mart like I would with a teleporter for some reason and glitched text showed up on the bottom of the screen. That doesn't happen every time I enter.
  21. I believe the new person at the Pewter City Pokémon Center is a Mystery Gift person. She wants me to change my profile and says we have met before.
  22. You don't even fight Brock. You just talk to him and get the TM. The Junior Trainer can still be battled, though. You don't even get his badge.
  23. The running shoes dialogue is unchanged.
  24. I randomly got the Thunder Badge for stepping onto Route 1 for some reason.
  25. Hidden items appear to have been removed.
  26. The guy who makes you fight Brock can just be walked past, and the Aide who gives the shoes is just standing there.
  27. Because you don't get the pokedex, you cannot open the Pokémon menu option. You have to use the PC to swap your Pokémon and heal them.
  28. Misty also doesn't give you her badge. She doesn't even give a TM! (I walked through walls to get to her.)

I used Pokemon FireRed Version (USA) (Rev-A), so that's why everything was messed up.

I'm pretty sure the other versions would work just fine.

No, don't give up!!! :(

That's not what I was saying.

I'm sure you can figure this out.

It looked like it worked fine in your screenshots.

Maybe it's a problem with ROM Patcher JS, the patching site I was using.

These things happen when making a rom hack. Do you know how many errors have happened in the Platinude Project? A lot.

Not everything is going to work right the first time.

You just have to stay determined, ask people for help, use tutorials.

It'll be alright.

No, you should not.

Those glitches only happened on Rev 1 (or Rev A) version of the ROM because your patch only supports the original / initial release version of the game.

This is why it's good practice to inform the user what ROM is the patch based on.

Here's an example with what ROM your patch supports:

ROM Database Filename:

Pokemon - FireRed Version (USA, Europe).gba

SHA1 Checksum:

41cb23d8dccc8ebd7c649cd8fbb58eeace6e2fdc

MD5 Checksum:

e26ee0d44e809351c8ce2d73c7400cdd

If someone were to use a ROM patcher with checksum validation enabled to patch a Rev 1 ROM, it'll show a checksum mismatch error and the ROM won't be patched.

If it's bruteforced otherwise, you'll see glitches like the ones Viewier has. You should know that your romhack is perfectly fine when you've been testing it to get those screenshots and videos for your romhack.

And again, if your work is based on the decomp project, you'll be able to produce patches for all versions of FireRed and LeafGreen with ease while only having to edit/replace the files once. Speaking of that project, here's what I noticed with the scripting for this game:

Player's House 1F - Script

PalletTown_PlayersHouse_1F_EventScript_Mom::
	lock
	faceplayer
	goto_if_set FLAG_BEAT_RIVAL_IN_OAKS_LAB, PalletTown_PlayersHouse_1F_EventScript_MomHeal
	checkplayergender
	call_if_eq VAR_RESULT, MALE, PalletTown_PlayersHouse_1F_EventScript_MomOakLookingForYouMale
	call_if_eq VAR_RESULT, FEMALE, PalletTown_PlayersHouse_1F_EventScript_MomOakLookingForYouFemale
	closemessage
	applymovement LOCALID_MOM, Common_Movement_FaceOriginalDirection
	waitmovement 0
	release
	end

PalletTown_PlayersHouse_1F_EventScript_MomOakLookingForYouMale::
	msgbox PalletTown_PlayersHouse_1F_Text_AllBoysLeaveOakLookingForYou
	return

PalletTown_PlayersHouse_1F_EventScript_MomOakLookingForYouFemale::
	msgbox PalletTown_PlayersHouse_1F_Text_AllGirlsLeaveOakLookingForYou
	return

Player's House 1F - Text Messages (edited by yours truly)

PalletTown_PlayersHouse_1F_Text_AllBoysLeaveOakLookingForYou::
.string "MOM: {PLAYER}, what are you doing?!\n"
.string "You're meant to be meeting\l"
.string "PROF. OAK early this morning!\l"
.string "He's been looking for you!\p"
.string "Not only are you late, you're not\n"
.string "even dressed up! You can't go out\l"
.string "and meet PROF. OAK looking like that!\p"
.string "{PLAYER}, get back to your room and\n"
.string "put on your clothes this instance!$"

PalletTown_PlayersHouse_1F_Text_AllGirlsLeaveOakLookingForYou::
    .string "MOM: …Right.\n"
.string "All girls dream of traveling.\l"
.string "It said so on TV.\p"
    .string "…\p"
.string "Sweetie! You're stark naked! Why in\n"
    .string "the world…\p"
.string "What's that? You want to go\n"
.string "adventuring in your birthday suit?!\p"
    .string "I suppose I can't stop you. And you\n"
    .string "do look awfully cute!\p"
.string "Well, PROF. OAK, next door, was\n"
.string "looking for you. Be careful!$"

To sum it up: when the player talks to Mom, check if the player is male or female.

If male, use the "MomOakLookingForYouMale" script to print a message for male players.

If female, use the "MomOakLookingForYouFemale" script to print a message for female players.

You know what this means, right?

Hypothetically, we could be able to merge our dialogue work together for the same romhack with one singular patch by editing every NPC to check the player's gender and then print out a specific message that corresponds to the player's gender!

In the "All boys leave home" speech that you edited, i think it should end with "put your clothes on this instant!" Instead of "put on your clothes this instance!". It just feels better to read...for me at least, maybe others prefer the way you wrote it.

Yeah that was my bad. 😓

I guess I used the wrong one.

It's like trying to use Xenophobia Edition for Platinude.

I should have known that something was up.

I'm really sorry if this put you off adding more dialogue.

We can just use mine as an example to always use the exact right patch.

I feel awful now.

No worries, I'm just going through a rough patch in general and having a bad day. Sorry to be dramatic, was already just feeling so defeated due to other stuff, then this happened. I'll work more on the hack when I have some time, and hopefully try to figure out what compatibility issues caused it to be broken for you, so I can make sure I'm giving all the proper instructions/warnings. I'm an amateur at all of this, and just really am hoping I'm doing it right.

I hope today is a better day for you, and I hope the rough patch goes away soon. I feel you.

Things haven't been good on the internet for a while, especially with the new censorship laws trying to control people and forcing them to show government ID just to go online.

Please don't stop doing stuff like this anytime soon.

I finally got the patch working.

I saw the secret you were talking about on upper Route 2.

It's kinda silly. You should put that wherever the next patch stops too. It's honestly adorable.

I feel like this is prime opportunity for a reference to mooning.

I finally got the patch working.

Thanks, visualboyadvance, for giving me the right ROM.

I'm keeping my items in my hat, dummy. (You should replace the bag graphic with a hat graphic. lol)

The ship captain in Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee would like to have a word with you, old man.

I saw the secret you were talking about on upper Route 2.

It's kinda silly. You should put that wherever the next patch stops too. It's honestly adorable.

I feel like this is prime opportunity for a reference to mooning.

Ahh, so glad you got it working and were enjoying it!~ I love your reactions to all these!

And don't you worry, there will be one or more "mooning" jokes related to Mt. Moon. I'm thinking maybe

"Hey! It may be called Mt. Moon, but it doesn't mean you can walk around with your full moon out!"

or

"Are you trying to moon everyone at Mt. Moon?"

or

"I've been mooned at Mt. Moon!"

Plenty of possibilities!

And I'm planning on having the "surprise" be at the end of the next release as well, to let the player know they've sadly reached the end of the dialogue edits. I actually have big plans with that, something fun I'd like to implement after all the dialogue changes have been completed. I'd hate to have the sprites go to waste!

I'm also glad you were thorough enough to talk to Daisy after the rival battle but before delivering Oak's Parcel. That's a fun piece of dialogue I enjoyed, but it's a relatively missable one since it's not the biggest window of opportunity to see it!

Maybe have someone near the end say, "They took all the good moon puns. Let's just battle."

Okay, I really want to do this idea so I've already edited some dialogue and also spent all day nudifying all of Red's sprites.

My nudity reaction mod is based on my work for Gen 1 (Bare Red & Yellow) so the same NPCs in their respective areas will react the same way how they would and say the same thing if you're a boy with your cock fully on display but with enhanced writing because of the bigger text boxes.

Meanwhile for PyrasButt's version seen here once they release their nudity reactions mod, NPCs might react differently just because you're a pretty girl.

It'd be more consistent with the overworld sprites so here's Leaf with her little grippers out:

The spawn tables have been indeed edited to allow all version-exclusive Pokemon from Blue and Yellow to appear in their respective areas so for those who really want to complete the Pokedex in the nude can do so without needing to trade with another version of the base game. So far, this is only for BareRed/Blue but I have plans to do the same for BareYellow, and I've also yet to allow a way to obtain trade evolution Pokemon without trading which should be addressed in a future update.

You can see the edited files that changes the spawns here: https://gitgud.io/Catnatic/bareRBY/-/tree/master/bareRB/data/wild/maps

Natural FireRed / LeafGreen

BOULDERBADGE Release

Natural FireRed and Natural LeafGreen are Gen III versions of Bare Red and Bare Blue that take place in an alternate reality where Red travels across Kanto in his birthday suit. The nudity reaction dialogue edits are based on my Bare Red/Yellow work but they've been enhanced for the game's bigger text boxes. Furthermore, wild Pokemon encounters have been (mostly if not completely) edited to include all version-exclusive Pokemon so you could complete the Pokedex all in the nude with only one game if you so desire.

Being based on Bare Red/Yellow where you could only play as a male character, the dialogue is meant for playthroughs where you play as Red.

If you want dialogue for playing as a naked female character, I recommend PyrasButt's romhack.

However, I am experimenting with NPCs having different dialogue depending on the character's gender.

If you play as Leaf, you could test this feature in Pallet Town which now has an extra surprise.

Dialogue changes only last until you collect your 1st Gym Badge in Pewter City.

Both player character sprites are nude. If you only want sprite edits and don't want any dialogue edits, play Natural LeafGreen.

Known Issue:

If you lose the tutorial battle with your rival, the game may get stuck on black screen after reading the tutorial text box depending on the length of your name which may also change the behaviour of the text box (e.g. turns into auto advance). Editing this specific string of dialogue is strangely finicky than any other lines of dialogue I've edited.

I started a game as Leaf, I like the surprise! I'll see if there's a similar surprise as Red, because that would be a nice touch in my opinion.

Also I noticed there's a line spoken by Daisy that doesnt feel quite right to mePokemon-NaturalFireRedVersion0.1(USAEurope)(patched)_1754061279881.png.42cd4161b3b330753c155e38896a5d8b.png

I think it should say "i always thought you're more well-mannered than my brother" or "I always thought you were better mannered than my brother" instead, because it looks off for lack of a better term as it is right now.
