Has there been any thought to adding quirks back into the mod?

 

The original darkest desires had quirks, but the author dropped them when he dropped support.

 

I thought the quirks were better than the camping skills imo.

I want add quirk in this mod again but it conflict with my mega mod "More Quirks" that have all quirks from all mods. Also original quirks from darkest desire a weak and only have rest % buff. Need a rework to fit it in game.

I'm probably going to regret posting this but ....

 

As the creator of the Librarian I can honestly say that if you'd paid close attention to her dialogue lines you'd know she's a lesbian (admittedly a closetted one with some major issues regarding pregnancy, babies, abortion & child abduction)*. Some of the sex acts assigned to her are things she'd never even contemplate.

 

*Admittedly you'd probably need to know the character a bit better to get some of the references but I reckoned I'd made it clear enough without having to overtly spell it out because, compared to combating eldritch horrors from another dimension, what she prefers to get up to in private pales into comparison really. If I'd been creating her for the kind of game where her sexuality would be more important I would have revealed more about it.

Well, see, in the case of the Librarian she is aware that her body is medically incapable of surviving the rigours of childbirth and that the child would die shortly afterwards. Consequently she's made the "logical" decision to avoid any form of sex that involves a penis (even if the penis does not enter her body). Knowing she is going to be childish she gets really broody around other people's babies. She's also really upset because her big sister (who can have babies) got pregnant then wasted her university tuition fees on a back alley abortion (referenced in 2 different dialogue lines).

 

I considered banning her from using the Brothel, not because she's young, but because she looks so young so they might not let her in (also the whole penis aversion thing). She's actually in her mid to late twenties but with a really underdeveloped body and a massive Allie McBeal giant bobble head.

 

When it comes to what she would euphemistically refer to as "acts of the bedroom" she has some very weird kinky tastes. She almost had a camping skill where she would ask to cut another hero's hair.

Hey just a bug report, but using the newest unofficial DD I have an issue where either cycling through the heroes or right clicking on the Falconer causes a crash.

hey so iv seen that a couple people have had the problem that when you try to open the character sheet of some heroes it crashes to desktop.

 

It also seems there isn't a fix for it yet so i was wondering if anyone had that

 

it crashes when i open up the jester and falconer (not houndmaster though weirdly enough) if that helps

 

if anyone has a fix i would appreciate it, iv had to uninstall the mod until i get it fixed

I use Darkest Desires 2.2 (here) and it works fine. It also comes with a bunch of camping skills for modded classes (go to Darkest Desires 2.2\raid\camping for every file that's included). If there are any classes you have doesn't come compatible, I suggest searching through this thread to see if anyone already made a .json for them, or request here if there hasn't been one.

Second that. I've downloaded 2.2 from nexus, but some of the classes are not included in that version.

 

The list of classes that are not included in that version:

Duchess, Mambo, Picaroon, Soothsayer, Snake Charmer, Beastmaster, Wraith, Onnabushi, Harlot, Keeper, Dragonslayer (which is strange, because, according to "DESCRIPTIONS", dragonslayer is supposed to have "Orgy, Sit on my face"), Arcanist, Hollow Knight, Guqin, Bogatyr, Maiden, Thorn, Dryad, Voivode and Spartan. And these are only those that I have , probably there's more.

 

Now, I've seen "camping_skills.json" files for some of these. Should I just put them in "\mods\Darkest Desire-815-2-2-1555697544\raid\camping" because I did that and nothing happened. Neither for duchess, nor for beastmaster and others. Or am I supposed to start new game / recruit new duchess and others?

 

Also, I've seen "darkestdesire_english.loc" and "darkestdesire_english.string_table.xml" in posts earlier. I suppose they're supposed to go to "\mods\Darkest Desire-815-2-2-1555697544\localization", but here's the problem which one of them in bigger - mine or on forum? Nexus' file was updated "21 April 2019 1:40AM" which makes forum version newer, but when I, out of curiosity opened them both and decided to compare I've found some missing entries in both files (I'm talking only about .xml, I don't know how to open and redact .loc). Is there a way to compile them into one file that includes all entries or am I supposed to manually copy-paste from one into another?

 

EDIT. Ok, after a little research, I've found that .loc file is created automatically by using "localization.bat" file which means that I only have to add new entries to .xml file (with a notepad, for example) and then use .bat file, right?

But why is it keep creating "missing_strings.csv"? Is this an error message?

Question though, how can one manually add class?

For example, I want to add Picaroon. So I have to:

1) Find original "picaroon.camping_skills" from mod folder, copy it into "\DarkestDungeon\mods\Darkest Desire\raid\camping".

2) Edit this file by adding sexual camping skills from other already modded .json files (while keeping an eye on syntax, of course). Also I need to remove "picaroon" from some of the ""hero_classes" : [ "picaroon" ]," lines to make them look like ""hero_classes" : [ "" ]," in order to keep the amount of her camping skills on 7 instead of "7 + sexual skills".

3) Manually add entries to "darkestdesire_english.string_table". Something like "<entry id="picaroon+str_bark_female_masturbate"><![CDATA[NEW TEXT]]></entry>". And, after adding this use "localization.bat".

And that's it? Or I missed something?

You forgot edit modfiles.txt and add raid/camping/picaroon.camping_skills 7777 to it

its size of file picaroon.camping_skills.json in byte. I don't know how much byte you file have so i just add this number. You must look at it youself and add correct one.

So does 2.3 do anything else other than adding new classes? I like to keep my game as vanilla as possible in the form of gameplay (excluding lewd content such as this mod) and don't really use mod classes, is there any meaning in me getting 2.3 or should 2.2 still do its job?

Sure, drop "camping_skills" file into "\mods\Darkest Desire\raid\camping", add "raid/camping/picaroon.camping_skills.json 14554" at the end of "modfiles.txt". This will give her basic sex skills. If you also want to add her unique sex phrases, I've attached my "string_table", you can open it and copy all lines that have "picaroon" in them. Or, alternatively, you can just put this file into "mods\Darkest Desire\localization" and use "localization.bat" once, but be warned that this file is quite heavily modified by me (based on 2.3, I've added/changed quite a lot of barks).
